I don't like on line research. This program wont let move to the next file. Any further issues I will choose a new program next year. Also all of my 2017 files are missing from my system but not 2014 2015 or 2016. They disappeared as soon as 2018 was installed.. Never had an issue before. Thanks for nothing

After the March 14 update the program had some operational quirks! Frustrated with Internal Error with Error Code TT600 at the Calculating Your Capital Gains Deduction page. Contacted Technical Support Team but got no resolution. Removed "so called offending input" to no avail. Created new tax file taking care with input. Both resulted in same Error Code TT600. Stepped over Errored page and continued with review with success. Submitted to CRA and was accepted.

The software is reasonably easy to use but I encountered Error Code TT401 when I came to save my file. Turbo tax did not have a solution and my work was lost. I believe that others have had the same issue. Turbotax should have resolved this.

very difficult to update for the CD version. would not let me correct my address even though it had not changed it was just wrong. It would not let me apply for the climate incentive. i have used this for many years and this is the first year I have had many problems

Please fix capital gain section. It is confusing as it asks T3/T5/T5008 and again to fill capital gain/loss. How do you calculate "Investment Income", line 120/121/127/130 ? Need calculation for line 127?

We do not have a printer so we normally save our return onto a memory stick and print else where, however the return only lets you copy to PDF a return that's for records only and cannot be returned to the CRA. The only way unless you Netfile is to print the return (if you had a printer. The other disappointment is lots of duplicate questions, that come up even though you have answered already

I found that there is no info that we should clear our browser cache before connecting to CRA. PLEASE MENTION IT ON SOFTWARE IN BOLD & RED COLOUR.

Like the program but hate having to keep old Windows notebook for taxes. Make a Mac version and get in the real world already.

Very annoyed. I got 1 of our 2 tax returns sent to CRA and got a confirmation but as I saved things they didn't actually save. Then the program froze and I had to restart so I could actually NETFILE the other return. Very frustrating.

I love that TurboTax connects to my CRA account and fills in most information. It's not as straightforward as it used to be, however.

Problems with entering data into ANY field wether or not it was a F3 field. Had to re-enter several times and then had to delete the returns to start over ... problems never before experienced in over 10 years

I've used this product for 5+ years and NONE of the ease-of-use suggestions I've made have been implemented. Things like better help (don't send me to CRA - I can do that myself), implement a SEARCH function in "Forms", provide meaningful expertise on questions not CRA material. Not impressed and will look to switch next year.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years, even when we had a small business and found it great. This year - not so. I spent over an hour trying to figure out why I couldn't save a PDF copy of a tax return, I couldn't print or efile. Kept saying Turbo Tax wasn't up to date. And I had done all the updates - several times! And it was past the date given that all updates would be done that were required for filing. Anyway, I eventually found out I had to go online and update from there. And then I am doing a return for a deceased family member that cannot be efiled and I want to save a copy of the T1 General Condensed form so that I can print from another computer. No such option available. Spent another huge amount of time searching for an answer and trying to contact Turbo Tax help without having to create an account or sign up. Gave up on that. So, I will be trying a different tax program for 2019.

Attempt to "Launch CRA Websites" are unsuccessful with warning to enable cookies that I DON'T want to do. Which is followed by a freezing of the site during the loading process which forces me to close the program without saving my files and having to do it all over again.

No real correlation of the information being entered and the tax return form and sometimes the information is entered twice in turbo tax forms but this is not highlighted in the reviews. There is a disconnect wetween entering information in turbotax and what is being entered in the tax return, and of course the tax returns are difficult enough anyway.

As the title, someone thinks they improve the product, only to make it more complicated and slows the process. There are many thousands of XP-s running in the world, it is cowardly of Turbotax not to support it. And this version crashes when interfacing with the CRA. Wsh there was a better program

Not impressed with TurboTax for the second year in a row. For the last two years, significant errors in projecting the taxes to be paid of the order of $2,000 in 2018 alone

The quality of the product is not what it used to be, I know a fair amount of tax preparation, I learned how to prepare personal income taxes before tax software was available to the general public, and I kn ow my way around each form very well. This year this software had mayor flaws that for the inexperienced user would have result on serious re-assessment, I will not get into much detail, but in short I can say, review every entry you make, the software does not update every time you make an entry, example, I'm separated and the software still insist in allocating spousal amount on my schedule one, If I don't know anything of tax preparation I would have submitted my return as is, giving me a refund that I was not entitle to, just like that one I found a few extra bugs. Next year I will switching to another software/ or method of preparation, Turbo tax is too risky.

It has got worse over the years. The optimization program gives crazy results. For the last few years I have got reassessed in the Fall with a balance owing. Why should this happen when the program is approved by CRA?

As a former tax preparer, I have been using turbotax or it's previous versions for over 15 years and this year has been awful. I went through an endless automated roundabout trying to reach an agent in order to download the most recent version-was given the US support telephone number using the instructions enclosed with the turbotax purchase and then spent 45 mins with a rep before realizing that he couldn't help me. Once I finally loaded the program it has been dumbed down to the point that those who do know anything about taxes can't maneuver in the same manner as previous years. I could not select the "English" language from the T1 screen. It wasn't until the review process that 1/2 of the items that I wanted to manually enter would be accepted by the program. I will seriously consider using another program next year before blinding purchasing turbotax for another year. Just an FYI-I was doing a simple return with 3 slips.

I have used Turbotax for the past few years and have never had any problems until the 2018 version. The 'optimizer' functions did the exact opposite of what you would expect and kept forcing deductions to my spouse, which reduced our tax return significantly. Every time I would go back and make a change or review deductions I had to change who was claiming them. On top of all that, TurboTax kept giving an error when I tried to save my return, which caused me to lose the whole file. I had to enter the whole return again. Hopefully they make some fixes before the 2019 version.

This program is awesome for beginners as it easily guides you through each step. I am beyond frustrated at the end of my returns, for the last couple years, it won't close them, each time I reopen the program, it asks me to continue. Even after the returns have been filed. It's always unsettling but when the refunds are processed I get the confirmation from the CRA that my returns were filed. It's just a really big frustrating glitch on an otherwise fantastic program

When an individual is 71 or older it should not ask if they want to contribute to an RRSP. Also upgrading to another version is not needed on our tax returns although the program keeps trying to sell us an upgrade. You would think the program was free.

After many years of using Turbo Tax this will be the last. Numerous problems this year including calculation errors.
