Terrible time to get it working
I installed the product and after starting it up, I would receive a "can't create object" error on each screen. Each button press. And the UI elements on the left side would not show up. I tracked the issue to the "Microsoft C++ 2015 Redistributable" library that Turbo Tax requires. The installation never informed me of this requirement - it silently failed. I went and tried to install the library manually and it would fail because I already had a newer version of the library on my computer. I finally tracked the issue down to the fact that I had Visual Studio 2017 installed on my computer and I had to *uninstall* it in order for the proper version of the C++ distributable dll file to be installed on my computer. Very poor experience. I know you want to share as much code as you can between the stand-alone installed version and the web version, but it's time to move away from using Internet Explorer as your rendering engine. Please provide a better experience next year.

Inconvenience
A TurboTax program error (an un-reviseable value duplicated and entered in another Income Section, also not able to delete) a caused me to have to create a second return for both my spouse and I. This meant inputting all data a second time. A call to the TurboTax help line did not have any solution other than enter another two returns.

Trouble with expenses....probably won't use again
Basically it is not too bad but trying to figure out how to do medical expenses and others allowable expenses seemed to be too complicated...a nightmare in fact!

can't move on
I have finished a return and am trying to get to the next one and it won't let me. It just keeps saying that the return has changed (when I've done nothing to it).

Not worth the money
I paid more than I would have paid for U-file or other software for tax filing because I was drawn in by the promis of support included in my product. The support community was far more helpful than the person on the phone. Also, he did not help me. He just told me to try what I had already tried and it did not work. After running out of ideas, he suggested I restart from 0 a new return for both my husband and myself. I had a bad injury in 2017 and a lot of dental work done as well so there were 2 ambulance payments and many other medical expenses that I had entered already into the software and I had to enter again.
When I asked him what to do in case the software does not allow me to netfile again and gives me an error, he said to print my return and mail it. I don't have a printer, I don't like printing and that is why I choose to deal with pretty much everything and everyone through electronic medium.
Fortunately, that last time the software allowed me to netfile my returns but the person on the phone does not know a whole lot about taxes or why some forms show up or how to fix it in the interview neither in the forms.

So confusing
If there is a way to make something easy complicated, Turbo Tax seems to have done it. Especially the Step by Step part, then later in the moving around, etc ... I have used it before and did not seem this messed up. Hopefully next year it works better.

I have been using turbotax for years but am getting extremely frustrated with the lack of product support Every year I seem to experience a different netfile error code and can never get thru to customer service. I always end up printing and mailing my tax return just to get it done. Getting sick of this product not doing what it's suppose to do!

Very Clinky for 2017
This was a huge disappointment this year and \I have been using the product for years. Downloading CRA slips crashed the app and I had to keep closing and relaunching and having to fill out information time and again. If it is this clunky next year I am switching.

last bit sucks
either there is a glitch in program or something it keeps repeating the last 3 sets to file.... have know idea if filed or if now have filed 3 times feel like I am wasting my time with this program.

Printing report would cause turbotax to crash
I like turbotax and the ease of use, but I had to input my information THREE TIMES because the program would crash when I tried to print my spouse's return. This was BEFORE I was given the option to save the return. The third time, I went straight to filing and printed afterward (and it went fine). This wasted 3 hours of my time re-entering information.

Problems
For whatever reason, I found TT standard more difficult to use this year. It refused to accept several items of information on page 1. No explanation why, no info at all. Don't remember this being an issue last year.

TURBO TAX
Turbo Tax does not want you to go back in the current file which is opened to make any amendments. It basically forces you to start a new one which makes it very time consuming and extra work. That is a huge time waster.

Inflexibility issues

problems
indicated error, number of months on T4A not specified. hit fix, tried 5 times, woundn't fix. number was already indicated. because of this I could not netfile. netfile was reason I purchased as am in Mexico past tax deadline.

I'eve used Turbox Tax for many years, but I won't use it again. The program did not bring my previous information forward which it always has; it asked me to update Net Framework and when I tried, I was told I could not do this, so never registered the program. It was not intuitive. Terrible software.

NOT BAD UNTIL NETFILING
IF THERE IS A NETFILE ERROR HELP IS A LONG WAIT, SUPPORT HELP AND REVIEWS DO NOT HELP, WASTED 1 HOURS OF MY TIME.... NOT HAPPY THIS IS A LONG ENOUGH PROCESS. IF YOU KNOW THERE ARE ISSUES WITH YOUR PROGRAM IE. XML2017 FIX IT BEFORE I HAVE TO ENDURE THE PAIN.

Still Drives Me Crazy
My situation is too complicated for the auto mode, but not worth enough to hire an accountant. Unfortunately Turbo Tax forces you to use their tax slip methodology to fill in the forms which might be OK for the simplest situations but isn't up to the task when you need to record a large number of transactions.

difficult to print forms
I did an income tax for an elderly friend. She wants to send it in by mail, but i am having a hard time printing the forms. It always jumps to easy step. and file by email. I do NOT want to send it that way.

Not as good as previous years
Help is not very helpful. It gives a general response that often is not applicable to your situation. I had a T4A. So, TurboTax needed to have an Industry Code. Help was useless. I figured it out myself.

Disappointed
This software is not intuitive. Help does not help on the specific lines you have trouble with. Clicking 'Forms' button midstream deleted my partially completed return forcing me to start all over. Save and print options were repeated 2 times before it actually saved. Good thing I checked after the first save attempt. More but tooo tired

what happened this year?
I don't know if I am alone, but this year in several areas, such as address field, you cannot just click on the cell and enter information. Likewise all of the check boxes on page 1 of the summary.
