I've found there are too many glitches... same ones every year that never seem to be fixed. For a novice, it could result in an incorrect return.

This was the worst software I have bought from Turbo Tax in the last 8 years. Numerous people complained online about the script problem which your company ignored. Why you could not provide an update to rectify this problem is unknown to me. Consequently, I will be considering a different software for next year. I believe you make enough money to correct such a simple problem that was such great headache to many. Each screen had the pop up and I had to click on the Yes or No buttons several times because the X button never worked. It was extremely inefficient.

frustrated
I give the turbotax program 5 stars for guiding me through my taxes. I just bought the dvd and yet I was prompted to Update it...fine. It told me to click "help", then "update". That did nothing. Every "update" link it prompted me to select did NOTHING. I wasted 2 more hours before I figured it out...no thanks to your "help".

The text on many forms is too small and or is not dark enough to be clearly and easily read. For some forms you do sinc what you are saying to what is actually on the forms.
I had much trouble with you review and repair In one instant I repaired an item half a dozen times always by reinstating what was already their then I tried going back to bringing up the form I fixed the same way there and it finally worked. I don't know why. I only reinserted the same info in the same box again and again.
You used to simple, fast and efficient. Next year I'm going back to the cra forms.

Pitiful online help
Tried to change address in identification section but bugs prevent that. Existing wrong address disappears. Help says you can just make changes directly in address section but you can't.

Plagued with Script Errors
I have used this product for a number of years. This year's program and a very annoying scripting error pop up box. This box showed up on EVERY screen with a yes or no response. If you choose no, then the program closes. If you choose yes, sometime multiple times, you can continue to the next screen. This was difficult and frustrating to manage. I most likely will look to another program for next tax season. Up until this year, I would highly recommend this software to people. Unfortunately not this year.

Bugs in the Software
I have been using this software for filing my income tax for many years. It has been very easy and useful.
This is the first time that I have encountered bugs that makes me wonder if all calculations are being done properly.
The medical optimizer was not working properly (not optimizing) and when finishing a return you get caught in a loop that does not allow you to close the software........Quality control seems to be lacking this year!

Good but! Where's the Mac Version!
I have been using QuickTax/Turbo Tax for over 10 years now. Overall I am very happy with the product, however, it sure would be nice if they had a stand alone version for Mac. I have keep an old pc around for the last 5 years just to do taxes, however, the time has come for me to move on. If Turbo Tax is not available for Mac next year I will purchase another product.

Not very modern
I have been leaving the same review every year. I am surprised at how little this program changes every year. There are so many things that are difficult (like entering medical expenses or simply copy and paste for example) that haven't changed since this program began. Given the amount of copies of this software that sell every year, there is very little of that money put back into development. It's sad.

long time user
My mother has been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years. She is fed up with it and this will be our last year using it. She is not happy with not receiving any discounts for long term users.

cannot seem to get a new return to open after several tries. i tried closing and still got the circle at the end of a return for reviews, which i examined already. also, you should be able to click any topic and go directly there with having to back button through the entire return.

Disappointed this year
I have used TurboTax for many years and have been happy in the past. This year I was disappointed as I was unable to Netfile and it took 3 days before I was able to determine a "fix" was in the works. As my purchase was registered with Intuit, including my contact information, when I loaded the program onto my computer on January 29th, 2018 I would have thought Intuit would have a system in place to notify registered uses rather than me waiting for 3 days and searching all the websites to finally locate information about the "fix". I will have to think twice about TurboTax in the future, the support was definitely lacking.

Considering there are cheaper alternatives out there I must say I am disappointed this year. In past versions my personal information was ported over automatically because I had previous turbotaxes (I've bought 5 years in a row now) in the standard version. This year I had to do that manually which was extra time wasted, may be looking at alternatives next tax time...

NOT IMPRESSED
SEVERAL BUGS. PROGRAM NOT UP TO DATE. FRO EXAMPLE ASKING FOR RC62 INFO. THAT TAX SLIP NO LONGER EXISTS. PROBLEM AT THE END OF THE PROGRAM WHEN IT ASKS TO START A NEW RETURN. SOME OTHER BUGS AS WELL. THIS SOFTWARE IS GETTING WORST EVERY YEAR!!

Doesnt install from CD, expensive
Had to install thrice. 2 tries from the CD, and finally downloaded from the Intuit site.
Software ran SLOOOOOOOW.
Not worth the premium you pay over other cheaper alternatives. Save your money, buy something else.

They're really coasting. It's gone down hill
My taxes were super straight forward this year, but I had the worst time ever using TurboTax. They appear to try to make things easier for you by allowing you to "autofill" you T4. However, they don't allow you to do this using the ATF file your employer gives you. Instead they require you to login to the CRA's website to get your T4 info. I couldn't remember my CRA login info. So I decided to go back and fill in my T4 by hand (it takes a couple of minutes). However, TurboTax wouldn't allow me to do this. I had to close the program, lose all the data I had entered, and start all over. What a colossal waste of time! Grrrr!!!
You can tell the company is totally coasting this year and didn't bother to proof read their software this time around. There were a number incomplete or outdated messages including one encouraging me to "sign up for direct deposit today!" because "CRA is phasing out mailing cheques by April 2016." Hello! It's 2018! Old stuff like this is less than inspiring. It makes you wonder what else they forgot to update. The software is also loaded with really dumb tips that make no sense for your situation - stuff the software could easily figure out if they took the time to program just a little bit of intelligence into it or to look at your past returns you filled out using the same software.
Oh yes, one more thing. Their "Automated Telephone Registration" is not automated. I called outside of business hours. No problem, right, because the telephone system is "automated?" I guess I don't understand what automated means because it told me that no one was available. So it couldn't help me in any way - not an "automated" option anywhere to be found. These guys are definitely coasting: charging the same amount every year, not improving their service, and then disappointing when they claim to offer a service.

NOT HAPPY
I have purchased Turbo Tax since int's beginning. I purchased the 2017 program in January. Much to my dismay I could not use it before Feb. 12. Then to my further dismay only 4 of last year's 14 Returns were NOT available to Auto Load. I have been forced to start former Tax Returns all over again including my own! I am thoroughly disgusted with your format this year. I will find another means of doing Tax Returns for family and friends next year. You are a waste of money!

printing issues
Would like to have saved or printed a copy that does not say "DUPLICATE DO NOT SEND BY MAIL" written on the copies. Only 7 pages available to print and not the whole file. 2015 year
