While helpful got annoyed
When using the easy fill method, the script refused to stop running. Every page required asking the script to stop multiple times before I could proceed entering the information.

Better than manual
So there's a lot of wizardry no doubt under the covers but as a long time Turotax user (only because it automatically imports everything from before) I am continually disappointed that after all these years it doesn't seem to be getting better but is getting worse. I just spent the last 10 minutes trying to figure out why at the end I am doing this feedback form and I still haven't found the page to Netfile which is all I really want to do at this point and I still don't know how to Netfile this thing.

Bad Experience
I have issues that are unresolved: difficult in viewing numbers after I upgrade my company to window 10; My old computer was crashed and I reinstalled the software to my new computer but could not view probably. I tried to install to my daughter (old version) and it got rejected as it counted 3 computers even I had not filed any yet!!

Forms view aweful
I need to use forms view and it's aweful. No way to enlare the pages, so very hard to read all the small print. Each schedule and form is minimized to a tab, but there's no label to identify which tab is which.
Help is really weak for many line, giving very little useful information when accessed.
A mediocre product - best try a competitor first!

Font way too small for Windows 10
I have used Turbo Tax for a few years now. This year I uploaded the new version to use on my Surface with Windows 10. What was my surprise when I saw that the font was way too small. Even when I changed the resolution on my screen, I could hardly see. I ended up opening the old version on my other computer and the new version to make sure the information I was entering went to the right spot. Disappointed. If the bug is not fixed for next year, I will have to switch to another product.

Didn't Work the First Time I Netfiled
I recently discovered that my Tax Return 2016 didn't get filed the first time with Intuit. I tried to file it on March 29, 2017, so I tried again today with Intuit. I hope it worked this time. I would have been on time for filing, had it worked the first time, but now I'm two months late. Very disappointed.

Program problems
Have used TurboTax and QuickTax for many years now, but found this year extremely frustrating as I ran into several problems. The program was freezing after doing netfile and trying to print the confirmation, and by being forced to restart, it did not recognize that I had already done the netfile, so I had to redo it and forgo the printing part. Will this cause a problem? Did I Netfile twice? Your guess is as good as mine. I am a very dissatisfied customer this year.

Worst experience ever
Each year the quality of software has declined. It was very slow navigating between "steps" or easy step to forms and back this year. There was no support via email or anything else. And you did not address most of the questions posted by users. The software did not treat investment capital gains as before - no recognition of joint accounts!
this has been a very frustrating experience. it is my 120 year using TT but I will be seeking a better product next year.

Ok
Found I had to search for Income Filing , expenses for meals and mileage for medical not easy to find or input.
Other years much better.
Need better explanations had to go outside Turbo to find mileage allowance and meal.
Used to tell you what you could file for, medical, mileage now if you don't know you are not prompted.

Not happy with latest version.
This year it did not carry over information from previous years files. Maybe it doesn't need to, but no explanation as to why. Difficult to find where to enter income not reported on "T" slips.

Have used Turbo Tax 3 years and this will be my last because of the customer service received by phone. I called in about an issue a few days ago and spoke to a wonderful knowledgeable person. Unfortunately had to call back a day later regarding the transfer of tuition credit from my child to my husband. I completely understood the theory about the transfer but had an inquiry because the software was only permitting both children to transfer to my husband. (A child's portion can't be split, but one child can transfer to 1 parent and the other child to another). Turbo Tax rep. said she was not a tax expert but would give me another number, 2x I asked are you giving my a # for Rev. Canada & 2x she said no. Guess what she did! I had a software question, complete waste of my time. Called right back in and unfortunately this next rep. had such a poor accent that we could not understand each other. these are my taxes, if I can't deal with competent people I will not continue to this this software.

Gone downhill
Turbo tax is not as good this year as in previous years. I could not Netfile for my wife and could not get an explanation why it is necessary to send by mail. Help facilityanswers had very little to do with my situation and there was no one who could help by chat. It is annoying to have to send by mail. Suspect it is just a bug in the program.

difficulty with Forms Entry
I have used Turbo Tax for several years and have always use the Forms entry option to enter data via the T-slips windows. This year the Turbo Tax program would not let me enter data in the T-slips windows... and I had to use the "EasyStep" feature. This was very frustrating and time consuming, including calling the Turbo Tax help line and twice reloading the program from the CD that was purchased - without success to resolve the problem. While that was disappointing, my tax return got finalized nonetheless.

Stop the pop ups
Although this software worked and was quite easy to actually file. There was and error code that popped up constantly. There was no way to get rid of it including updates.
This was a real impediment to smooth filing and unnecessarily add tension to an event that really needs no more tension. Historically the software had pop ups but these error codes were a new class of frustration.

TurboTax 2016
I have used TurboTax for many years and found it to be a good and reliable product. This year however, I found that the software had script errors where i constantly had to tell the software that I wanted to continue to run scripts. I looked online for support to fix the error and found that there is something to do with Unicode text that needed to be done. No problem I thought. I followed the instructions and the problem did not go away.
While I am fairly computer literate, i could not resolve the problem. While the software DID work. after a fashion (many extra clicks on the error message for each screen), it was a major pain in the neck.
I will not be using TurboTax next year, despite my long history with the software.

Not as user friendly as it could have been
It would have been nice, among other things to be able to zoom in on the screen making the font size bitter for example, also would have been better if the forms were better labelled to match the boxes on the slips provided.

Error Messages
I have been using Turbotax and its predecessor for many years. This is the first year that I used it that I can remember that it stated there were errors and there really weren't. First it stated that I did not fill in the province of residency. When I went back to check on the actual form it was there. Then is stated that I declared that I lived on Nisga lands and when I went back I made no such statement. Now I wonder about its accuracy.

Frustrating
The biggest problem I had was saving the files and then opening them. The software would not allow me to save the files in Documents. It kept indicating I did not have permission. It finally allowed me to save them in Users. Not wanting to leave them in that folder, I moved them to Documents. I could open them from that folder but could not save them. After several attempts with changes to the files, reboots, restarts and frustration I finally had to move the files to Users, make changes and them move them back to Documents. Very poor software that could not allow me to use the Documents folder. Before you blame Windows, no other software on my computer has this problem.

Error Message A Pain
