2016 software was terrible
I have used this software for 7 years and this is the first time I have had Script error messages pop up. Fix this issue. Your website did not help get rid of the constant popup windows as I filled in my information.

your program doesn't allow this to be used for capital gains - at least, it doesn't allow capital losses to be deducted against the gains posted in this form - no where could I find an explanation or guidance - I had to delete the form and fill out a schedule 3 which I found annoying - also despite the fact that I got the program delivered over the internet, you don't recognize my email address, how's that possible (same as last year) - I couldn't net file cause apparently I had errors in the section related to senior home owner's property tax credit - couldn't see any errors - frustrating and annoying

Frustrated
EVERY TIME that I hit "CONTINUE" a flag came up that said 'Script Error' sometimes it took several clicks on the key to get rid of it so I could actually continue. Filing took a LOT longer then needed because of this!!!! Plus I had More then one return to do and it was the same on the others???

Always problems
If you have foreign incomes, especially rental incomes, it's very confusing. Can't save some info (e.g. Your percentage of ownership)

Lousy Pop Up

I have a script error on every page of turbo tax. Very very annoying. As a long term customer I think this may be the last time I use this product.
Why are you making a inferior product while your content is amazing. Your team does it so well only to have some web script error ruin the experience. I fill 6 returns and you can imagine how frustrating that can be.

Disapointing software reinstall required.
Very surprised that before I was going to file online with CRA I was forced to download a patch that failed to address an update failure and then was required to completely uninstall and reinstall another version from the intuit website. If the code in the software is this bad the question remains as to how accurate the tax filings will be. This was a surprise to me and will make me consider finding another tax software vendor for 2017

product going downhill over the years
This product constantly asks to update internet security, even though the security is correct.
I cannot disable the message as I do not efile.
Every time the product loads, there is an update. Click on update. Update fails and says the product must be reinstalled.
A few years ago, none of this would be happening. Quality control is terrible.

Annoying
Not very user friendly. Answers are not easy to find and not clearly written. In future, find a professional writer to explain IN GOOD ENGLISH the concepts. When you use non-English speakers to explain concepts they don't understand and can't express clearly in English, it is not helpful to your customers.

Do yourself a favour and file with the online software. The downloadable version is buggy and right out of the 1980s. Frustrating a difficult to use.

Update Issues
Automatic updates caused it to crash. Gave a series of error codes TT3015, TT414, TT801, etc... Just uninstall and reinstall, no worries you won't loose your data. That was true, but it would not reinstall and update properly. Finally Intuit directed me to a site for the latest version down load, thus no updates and it worked fine to the completion of my return. Hopefully I won't have to update it again!!!

So-so
Bought the disc. Script error eventually caused my system to crash. After much searching around, found many other people had same experience. Answer: download from website. Finally completed our tax return in twice the time it should have taken. Other than that, found some questions/statements could have two correct (for me) responses, eg.: "Do you wish to register to get email" Answer "No, because I've already registered" or "Yes, I want to receive email, but should I register again?". I little more clarity would be nice.

poorly designed this year
This product had some sort of glitch in the software. When I tried to update it on Ma rch 21 I had to remove the program and reinstall. Also, before the update wehn I opened my filw a page popped up that said I could not access that page. My refund in that file was much much less than when I started over in a new file after March 21 update. What the heck!!!!!

Difficult to use
I had multiple script errors on every page, it was very frustrating. I could not click to move the program back or forth. My refund was not showing in the left-hand side of the screen.

transferring deductions from spouse
Did not come up with an error when I had not filled out one of the boxes on the federal portion of tax form to transfer old age amount. Only knew to look for it because it came up with an error on the provincial portion of taxes.

Not as user friendly or intuitive this year. Had to hunt for things that previously were simple.
Disappointed and frustrated with this version and I may consider trying a different program next year even though I have used this since day one.

Was very disappointed with 2016 Tax program. On several occasions the program rejected to update it and at other times, twice I had to uninstall and reinstall theprogram because of the rejected update. I could have completed my spouse and mine manually 4 times over in the time it took me tofinally net-file.

For the last few years ive used this, ive always had issues with it such as returns not saving to my pc when using the cd version (even after saving and searching the entire drive for the lost file) and having to start over multiple times. Too many glitches to this software, dont think ill be using it again, its too frustrating.

terrible navigation if you need to just find one page or go back to change something. and the options for graduate retention program eligibility certificate are not correct for filing and for the amount to populate at the end of the return without miss entering information. should fix then id give 4 stars

Win 10 compatibility issues
I have spent 3 days trying to sort out problems with finding my printer and finding last years files. Major limitations such as .Net 4.6.2 not being recognized, not compatible with Chrome or Edge. difficult installation.
Once I got it all sorted out, things went OK, but all the problems trying to make it work with my Windows 10 pro and Chrome browser override the usability -- much more work needs to be done by Intuit to correct this.
Every year for the last 6 years there has always been a problem with Turbo Tax preparation & filing. This is the last year for me.

piece of junk
in theory this is a good product. However, in real use it makes me fill out forms and lines I am not claiming, requiring spouse´s info which I do not have yet.
It changes periods for commas and then says email is wrong because it has a comma. At the end of everything it does let me change to period. Why not do initially?
I had to Copy and paste "at" symbol as programme would not let me simply use "at".
It would be much simpler and faster to fill the tax form on paper manually. Only advantage of this is quicker refund.
Can you not do this in Mac and not in cloud?

Installation CD Failed to Work
The installation CD included in the box failed to work. Upon insertion of the disc, the machine would hang and freeze. My CD drive worked perfectly with other discs that I used as a check. Finally had to download the installer from the Turbo Tax website. Wasted 15 minutes of time. I would not recommend. I could have completed my return faster by hand.
