Help wasn't very helpful
Clicking on light blue highlights just brought you to the general help instead of the specific item. Goggle does it better.
Couldn't get the flags to work.

It used to be great
I have used Quick Tax and TurboTax for many years. In past years I was a great believer. This year it was a struggle to transition between the different methods of entering data into forms. I disliked the handling of the T5008 form. In total honesty, during the cycle of doing the entry into TurboTax and when I netfiled at the beginning of May, I felt it necessary to convert my desktop Windows operating system from XP to Windows 7. Some of that process was centered around the viruses and rumours of viruses that were prevalent. I dislike the hustlers at the end of the programme with their arms folded, and the woman in glasses staring from the side of my screen suggesting that I "Get Live Tax Advice Now." It reminds me of the high-end fashion stores that have found that if they have miserable "snooty" sales personnel, their sales increase.

Total Income Summary Confusing
As pensioners we split my pension. I entered all the data correctly and the software determined the amount I could split--which was fine. Don't like at all the summary page which followed as it added the split amount to my wife's income but did not deduct it from my income. It made it appear that our total income was actual increased by the split amount. If this practice must continue for some reason, Turbo tax should add an explanation that we should not worry, that it is correct. Makes me very leary of the product. Also, I don't like all the pitches for products. I bought this product, I did not purchase the annoying ads.

Worst In Years
I have used your products for all but one of the last dozen years or so.
This was the worst version of the software ever. The traditional Forms preparation method was good but the new review and netfile interfaces were confusing, not intuitive, slow, too many attempts to sell me something I did not want...... I hated it. Slowed me down terribly for the returns I need to get through. Taxes are painful enough and you managed to make it more painful. Will be reviewing your competition again next year.

TurboTax needs improvement
Font too small and it cannot be adjusted. The suggestion by TurboTax to change the desktop resolution is ridiculous - it is not the only software I use.
Help is of limited value. I found Google search to be far better to find the answers I need.
Cannot search for keywords in the form.

difficult to navigate

switching between entries of spouses is tedious and took a while to understand

Never again
Entering information in the tax program was easy enough but trying to file the return was quite another thing! The program that I had would not save my return in the .tax format no matter what was done. After watching the you-tube video on filing, I realized that I was not getting the same prompt directions as what the video was showing. I can only hope that after this rating that I may begin to receive those prompts. Printed out what I needed to mail in just in case!

so-so
The last two years every update has resulted in turbotax crashing and requiring me to call support re-install turbotax.
Also noted that medical expenses forms did not update properly. Had to clear medical expenses and redo with the easy step method which forced me thru the entire process. this is a bug , never happened before
Will be considering a different product next year

Too Many Ads selling more things I don't need
All I want to do is file my return. If I wanted all the other stuff you are trying to sell me then I would have bought a different package. Every other page I move onto there is something that is being pushed at me.

Medical expenses are difficult to do with dependants and medical expenses on line 331.
Donation lines are hard to review once completed because the view screen is too small and difficult to use.

TOO MANY ADS
Way too many things I had to click through to file a simple quick return. Never had this problem before and I have been using your software for over 10 years. Clean it up Intuit - very disappointed in this year's version because of all the unnecessary advertising

Losses information
Need to complete tax return during one occasion.
If you need to leave and return at a later date, some information will need to be resubmitted and no history of how questions were answered previously.

Full of ads and up selling. Really annoying. You should never try to sell will forms unlless you want to get sued. Leave that to the lawyers and stick with tax. Worst version ever.

Update Issues
1) Why is a re-start necessary after every TurboTax is applied? This is 2014. I can upgrade my graphics card driver without a re-start. I do not recall that this occurred in previous years.
2) After applying the online update on April 28, TurboTax would not start. The message was that a resource file was corrupt and TurboTax needed to be re-installed. Re-install, re-boot, apply update, re-boot, same problem: TurboTax would not start. I had call TurboTax tech support to obtain another copy. I purchased the CD TurboTax version.

no happy
THis year I had several problems with Turbotax. It did not automatically calculate my refund correctly after I mad a change to charitable contributions. I had to save the fil and reopen them to get it right. Also it would not let me file online and cave me a strange error about losing the internet connection although my browser worked fine. There were warnings with no explanation on how to fix them that I had to fudge to get around.

Disappointed
A new function is that TurboTax automatically NETFILE's for you and doesn't give you the option to create the .tax file and do it yourself. NOT CONVENIENT at all.
More full-page ads that pop up than before, slowing down how long it takes you to get through completing your tax form. One of these ad pages has the 'Continue' button hidden in the far right bottom corner so it looks like you have no option but to choose the extra "service" they are trying to sell you. You have to scroll out of the frame to find the 'Continue' button.
Very disappointed with this year's version.

Product is worse now
Turbo Tax for 2013 crashed after entering all of the information and asking if I wanted to carry forward some RRSP contributions for next year. I was not impressed, and saved every time I completed a section the second time through, as it does not seem to keep any backups along the way. It also failed to Netfile using the new method, saying it could not find an internet connection, even though it worked fine using the old method. If I can use a browser to do the Netfile I don't see why Turbo Tax could not find an internet connection. This version seems very buggy and it seemed to take longer to enter the information than it used to take. Too many ads now, as well. I may try something else next year.

Eduction Transfer
in simple Tax software, there is a maximize button at the end after entering all the information and it max ur return automatically. Next year I will be using that software going forward. Thank you for your business.

Great program
The program it self works great and is very easy to use.
The new netfile is terrible, i had to switch my default browser to internet explorer just to make netfile work.
Even then it took me close to 30 tries to file 5 returns, the old system where you saved the files as a *tax file worked every time.

Stop Up-Selling more products!!
This is getting more and more bloated every year. It used to be straight forward with the questions you needed to answer. Now you're putting in constant up sales on your other products. I've bought your product already! Back off with all the extra junk sales!

Netfile is flawed...
The auto netfile feature is flawed. It tries to send a .tax file before creating it and forces you to manually direct the file creation and transmission. Two netfiles attempted and exact same failure on both...unbelievable!

Cut out the commerical for other services and prod
If I say no to a service or product don`t ask again. Aslo you should not try and sell me other none tax related products. I just want to get my taxes done. It is the worse thing to do and your bugging me with other stuff

programmer oversights
i am disappointed that i cannot override some data. when i decided to cancel my claim for moving expenses, i was unable to clear the form -- i attempted to replace my name with a blank, and got a warning that said i should never have to override calculated fields.
the help file reference to this was useless.

Inaccurate moving expenses

pension splitting
