Horrible
I don't even know why I bothered this year with TurboTax. Slow, hard to follow, impossible to use the optimizers, bloat-adware, extremely vague on requirements and it actually seems like all they want is to make it confusing enough that you just buy their extra support.

What happened in 2024?

Still produces errors
Every year I take them up on their offer to provide feedback on their product and point out the errors it produces. They never fix them. Yet again it recommended that I throw away $36,000 in tax credits. Unbelievable.

every year your program somehow seems to get more and more frustrating. you give almost no helpfull advice. i am not confident i am not missing some form that i should be filling out.. your autofill format doesn't fill in all that it is supposed to and won't let you fix it. why isn't it easy to carry forward info from previous year.why does your helpful advise just keep suggesting that the same irrelevant item needs review, even after reviewing it?

Failed to start
turbotax failed to start up after installing on my Win11 laptop. This occurred in 2024 AND 2025...so the problem still exists and ironically the help blogs just repeat the same tips as last year. had to install on W10 work laptop and it worked fine.

Says numbers on T3 don't add up, but they do. Can't transmit to CRA. Also, doesn't suggest how to split medical expenses on shared returns. Second return rejected from CRA with unknown reason.

Errors in Program
Errors in the program caused an error on my wife's return and delayed the filing of my return. The glitch in the program caused CRA to reject my netfile until TurboTax fixed the issue. Finally after weeks of waiting and hours of my time spent...an update finally fixed the issue. I have used TurboTax for years with good results. However, they really dropped the ball this year! :(

Poor Customer Support & Lost Faith in Product
It was a mess dealing with errors in the software. T3 implementation was wrong and caused CRA warnings so you could not file. I have never had a problem with TurboTax before. I will no longer rely on it. Terrible programming. Even when the program was supposedly fixed it would not update. A tax program needs to be perfect otherwise you cannot have confidence that your taxes are being calculated correctly. I will be using another product next year to avoid this situation again. I have lost faith in TurboTax.

most frustrating purchase ever
This program automatically indicates that you are self employed with self employed income, even when you indicate that you are not. It appears as an error and it cannot be fixed or deleted and you have to start from the beginning several times to not have the error appear. You cannot Netfile with errors !

Very Frustrating load for product

Not very smart program
I used Easy Step. Answered the profile questions: no to selling property, no to changing my marital status, no to first home buyers, no to not filing past years returns, yet as I went through easy step, it asked for this very information AND then brought them up as warnings. The EASY STEP is supposed to be easy. It could be very confusing for someone.

Turbo Tax Screwed up this year
I do not recommend this product anymore. It took them almost a month to fix a bug that was preventing us from filling online. Not acceptable at all. All other products available had no issues filling online. They blamed the government for the delay, which was an obvious lie.

can not file till end of march due to turbo tax no
After years of using this product I will not be purchasing any longer. we have a simple straightforward return. Error mssage keeps coming up saying I need a schedule 3 filled out, I do not ... So because of this and turbo tax not being upgraded with CRA until end of March I can not file. I re did my return three times and it keeps coming up with that error message. To no avail I will not be using this again and I am making sure no one else wastes their money.
