T5008 Nightmare
Entered T5008 data for my return, kept getting a Fix error to change the Type of Transaction Capital Gain or Investment. Googled for help and was known Turbo Tax has had numerous issues with this in the past. I have never in the past had this problem. Wouldn't netfile so I had to print and send to the nearest tax centre. Frustrating.

NOT HAPPY
I HAVE USED THIS PROGRAM FOR MANY YEARS ,THIS YEAR WAS TOTALY FRUSTRATING. I ALWAYS USE THE FUNCTION TO IMPORT FROM THE CRA SITE AND FROM MY LAST RETURN . I TRIED TO DO EVERTHING AND SAVE BEFORE SUBMITTING ( I HAVE DONE THIS EVERY YEAR ) THIS YEAR IT WOULD NOT SAVE . I TRIED 5 TIMES TO RESTART ON DIFFERENT DAYS BUT THE SAVE RESULT NEVER WORKED. NOT ONLY WOULD IT NOT SAVE BUT EACH TIME I DID OUR RETURNS I GOT WILDLY DIFFERENT OUT COMES FROM OWING THOUSANDS TO GETTING THOUSANDS IN A REFUND?????
I FINALLY JUST PRINTED OFF THE LAST ONE I DID AND SUMITTED IT , AND AM HOPING FOR THE BEST. IF I WANTED TO UPGRADE AND PAY THE EXTRA 54.99 FOR THE PROGRAMS HELP I MAY AS WELL JUST PAY AN ACCOUNTANT TO DO OUR VERY SIMPLE TAXES.

Watch out for this software!
The donation optimizer failed to find the best tax rate, it failed on carry over to next year. ( a potential loss of over $1k in tax credit on the next year) Secondly, rental property entry keep losing ownership percentage when going back to it, and splitting a T5 with the spouse was not clear that a portion would be on her tax return. Confusion led me to entering it twice!

What is with the payment page?
I was told I owed like $30. Then I was asked how I'd like to pay. I select my method and the software kicks me out of that page and I'm asked no further information about it and I'm unable to access that page anymore. What am I suppose to do? Is the CRA going to kick down my door for non payment? What are you people doing?

I've used Turbo Tax every year since its inception. EVERY YEAR without exception, there are new glitches. I've commented on the problems every year but now I'm sick of it. The program was very confusing especially when you are filing for a deceased individual. Questions are repetitive. Spousal information should be pulled automatically.

Never coming back
Was forced to switch to TurboTax desktop version from online version because of paywall for small business. Then found out that a carryover option does not exist, so I had to re-enter everything from scratch. Several times, connection to CRA was unreliable, which resulted in TurboTax becoming unresponsive to the point where I had to force quit / relaunch. No end of frustration.

Third party digital delivery system is broken
I purchased through Costco.ca. It turns out my license was already used, so I ran out of returns. Intuit Level one support was utterly incapable of resolving the issue, and rather than taking ownership of the problem told me I had to deal with Costco.

On "Net Employment Earnings" it says $30,285
I never entered any amounts for employment and claimed at the beginning that I was not employed
Yet I can't find anywhere in the forms where this was entered
So unless I use another way to do my taxes I am going to be liable for $30,285 that I didn't earn

Disappointment
Have used since it was Quick Tax and was very satisfied generally. This version would not work properly after installation and Support was Substandard and totally useless in any attempts to solve the issue. It never did get fixed.

Turbo Tax needs a lot of work.
Form T1135 needs to have the ability to add lines. If you have investments in more than three countries it does not work. T5013 is poorly designed. With several hundred numbers it would really help if they were in numerical order. I think that all t-slips should be shown in numerical order. There is no need to use shaded boxes on t-slips for multiple numbers. You often use technical terms without defining them. You have too many irrelevant warnings.

Worst time I've had with Turbotax
If the CD worked right ..... and the "update" didn't screw the program up, I might have been happier using TT21. But after spending over 3 hours trying to get it to work (update, uninstall, re-boot the computer and re-install SEVERAL times) I finally had to call support and get them to give me a downloaded version for it to work. That took 2 calls to support. The CD is now in the garbage.

Updating Turbo Tax Standard
I am very disappointed in Turbo Tax. I have used your product from the very first year you started. Whoever did the updating for Turbo Tax Standard did a lousy job. I expect a good work ethic regarding your product. There are so many mistakes that I am not going to list them here. What you need to do is go through this product with a fine tooth comb and update it correctly for the 2021 tax year. I expect much better from you people.

frustrated

Poor file saving
For at least the third year in a row, I have lost files that were saved. I can work on a return (or returns) one day and the next day the data doesn't exist. It doesn't show up in recent activity or by searching my computer. The problem seems to occur when program updates are done. On occasion, I can exit out and go back in to find it; but, this is not always the case.

Turbo Tax is awful
cannot NETFILE. Customer service wait time too long. Customer service hangs up and you have to start again. Called Product Support and then given another number for Expert Support. Wasted another hour waiting and they hung up on me. Horrible ... horrible ... horrible.

Several bugs in program
Terrible bugs in programs, especially if you make the mistake to check the caregiver box. Impossible to correct. Must go on forms, then fool around until you correct. No possible way to contact anyone for help; minimum one hour on phone. Chat help is limited. Terrible help bot service. I have been using TurboTax for over ten years; this will be the last year.

Too much repetition!

Very Frustrating
In 2020 I did my taxes online and was able to use a code from my purchased product. This year I started my taxes online and bought a program, but I was not able to transfer information from past years, or even the one I had started online! In order to complete and file my taxes online it wanted me to pay more money and would not let me enter the license code. So I had to restart from scratch with 3 returns. I hope they fix this issue for next year or I will be looking for another netfile option!

HOW CAN INTUIT NOT FIX T1135 ROWS?
So, there are many irritating issues - like you cannot delete a colu,mn in the T5008 form so if you change data you have to reenter all columns after or as I did let the data start at col 10! So easy to fix allowing us the correct incorrectly completed colums (slips).
But worse,much worse, is the T1135 form- everybody knows and has complained for many years - just 3 rows in the B7 - but nothing changed -tthis is grade 11 coding to add row replication. I called to ask the TurboTax work-around - after 30 minutes including remote access because the "helper" could not believe that it was not just a simple "double click" the "experts" said "use CRAs web site and mail your copy!".
While complaining - why show a summary of 2021-2020 or spouse to spouse and not offer a print link???
Just copy it to Excel get the data but come on-thats such an easy hook to add.
