I imported the T4/T4As and RL1s from CRA and RQ and the app is mixing up the RL1s and does not match with T4As, Is creating extra lines which I had to delete manually in order to file. This is the first year I get this type of errors, no sure what they changed in the SW.

The Rental Income section does not save the Co-Owner information, it does no save the percentage ownership and you cannot go back and edit. You have to go through the interview section and then it adds another rental. It has been years, can someone look at it once and for all, and assume that the person filling out needs to go back to make adjustments before filing. The only way to fix it is to go in the Forms section and do it manually. It does not make sense. Just make it user friendly and fix it for next year

I've used Turbo tax for 12 years and this is the first year that things were not linear and simple to follow. Updates meant to enhance my experience instead created headaches and frustration. For example, linking to CRA to upload my income did NOT work! The software would not connect and kept saying I didn't have permission to do this. I found a work around but then only mine or my husband's info could transfer over but not both. What a headache! And the software kept CRASHING throughout this stage! I am using the same device for the last 3-4 years so that's not the issue either and my device is regularly updated.

You would think that any software company worth their salt would be able to figure out how to give you an extra line in a form. Not TurboTax. They refuse (for many years) to add this feature to the T1135. So YOU ARE FORCED TO MAIL this in. Well, I must admit, they did make a change this year. In Section 7, they did write in: Need extra lines - filed by mail. They can't even get the grammar right. Sheesh.

TurboTax used to be the best thing for do-it-yourself taxes, but now it is better to do it by hand on paper. Glitches, inaccurate wizard calculators and invalid recommendations for things I "qualify for". Using it made me second guess every calculation, and I have years of experience doing taxes both on and off computer. Sad to say they have put effort into the upgrades at the expense of becoming bottom of the barrel software for the standard returns. Importing slips and automated calculator calculations are main benefits. Netfile does work smoothly and quickly once you are ready to submit. If you know what you are doing this software is useful but if you don't I wouldn't guarantee that you are getting the best possible return.

I purchased this product with the intend to continue to use the online service. However, you have forced me to now download your junk program. Re-enter the entire details for the family, and start from scratch. I might as well have done it on paper or via any of the numerous programs that are completely free. I will never be back. Waste of my $40. And 3 hours of my time that should have taken me 30 minutes.

I have used Turbo tax for many years and have found it just fine. This year, there were problems that have upset me. Next year I'll likely go to someone like H&R Block or a CA. The big issue seemed to be that TurboTax didn't like my computer and had trouble working with it. Even their computer techs had trouble accessing my computer thru Turbo Tax. And this is the same computer I've used with TurboTax for the last 3-4 years sans any problems - so it's not the computer... One more issue; the last fellow i was talking with, we were cut off and I've not heard back from him - 3 hrs later. I'm just going to file my forms to the CRA and deal with their questions as they come (and they will). Meanwhile, Turbo Tax is out of my good books. Stewart

There are deductions that I'm not sure about and got no help from Turbo Tax. The man on the phone was hard to understand and not much help. He advised to file my messed up return and wait for someone to call me around May 6 which is 6 days after the deadline for taxes. What is that??

It is possible to be retired 12 months and have a disability for 12 months and perhaps even normal but CRA accepts only the sum of 12 and this could effect your disability credit! The program tells you not to enter block 20 (the normal amount to be reported ) but it does not tell you to enter this information in block 14. Due to a large refund I had to search to find this error after filing. When I refiled the system accepted my refile return and rejected my wife's refile.

your only allowed to answer questions, you cannot go line by line from the start of form, i worked for years going from the front page to the last, and on the way filling out the necessary forms to match the lines for example for years safety deposit box charges were excepted on line 20221, you can't get thm there with this turbo tax

TurboTax froze on me several times when attempting to interface with CRA and access data. When I restarted TurboTax after it froze, there was a loss of data.

generally this seems to be a poorly written program problematic to use on dual-screen system After multiple calls, one very smart Lady Tech was able to provide a solution of not using the program's Text Size option, and changing the monitor sizes TurboTax recommendations. standard answers do not seem to carry over from year to year.

An extremely cheap and poor migration off of Windows 7 features at intuit. Left migration until old features were no longer supported.
Thankyou for a CHEAP conversion that greatly increased the time it took me to get beyond your shortsightedness.

T5013 error prone program
The other programs esepecially the ones that deal with crypto will steal all your business if you don't stop acting like accountants and change your ways. Make entering this form a no-brainer.

I bought a new laptop with windows 10 and I couldn't even install it in it! I ended up having to use my old laptop with windows 8. I am disgusted.

I've used Turbotax for years, but I'm not anymore.
My wife and I lived separately last year, and the Turbotax software suggested we file together because our "refund is usually the same or greater than filing separately". So, we did a test; we created one return with us filing together, and another two returns where we filed separately.
The result? Even though we inputted the EXACT same income and information, filing SEPARATELY netted us an EXTRA $1,000 (THOUSAND) refund. I was curious, so I tried to get in touch with Turbotax to see what was happening with the software and to find out if it was malfunctioning or not checking a box or something.
The contact us page REQUIRES you provide your first and last name, phone number, and email address BEFORE GIVING YOU THE CONTACT NUMBER. The page then gave me an incident number and told me my wait time would be Zero Minuites. Bril! Except, a lie. I went through the automated computer, then waited 30 minutes on hold before being routed through to someone, and then got disconnected. I called again, waited ANOTHER 30 minutes, which, I get, tax season and all.
But when I finally got through to Judy (the Turbotax agent) I explained my problem, and she told me she was a "PRODUCT specialist, NOT a TAX specialist" and couldn't help me, and Turbotax doesn't have tax specialists.
What? I don't know if she didn't understand that it was a product issue I was having or what, but she implied I should file. I asked her if Turbotax would guarantee that the refund was correct, because I didn't want an audit coming my way and the CRA clawing back the money. She said that she could not guarantee the info I put in (absolutely get that) but that in any case, I would be safe because the CRA doesn't do that... what?! Yes they absolutely do. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE ADVICE!
I eventually called the CRA, and they advised me it was a glitch in the software and we should ABSOLUTELY NOT file separately because that would absolutely lead to an audit.
I'm going another route next year.

I have used TurboTAx for over 20yrs, this yr's is fustrating, too many issues with software. The biggest issue is that it does not retain the License #... every time I open it, I need to re-entered it. and it takes sometime 3 or4 tries. TOO FRUSTRATING!!!!!

Old and outdated. The software still doesn't work well. Two of its optimizers tried to rip me off of almost $35,000. Good thing I caught these two mistakes, but who knows what other ones I missed?!

As the years go by, I am less and less satisfy by the product. It is less easy to use, seems confusing, asking the same questions but double counting. I feel that next year it will cost me more but I will use a tax professional to do my taxes. Too bad because I liked the convenience.

The software crashes each time you do an autofill from CRA. You have to re-start the software, and recover. Very annoying, especially since this used to work in the past.
