errors in program
Disc wouldn't load, so went to download option--confusing to download, had to call TT for real person help --she did help. first return I completed calculated I had a refund of over $160,000 even after I checked all my entries 3 times. Opened a second return which seemed to work all right but then tried to pay balance due by the paypal option, which then froze. Have uses TT for years but never had this much trouble before.

Software issues
Faithful user for many years. The 2020 version was full of software errors--some major, some minor.
Had to delete returns a few times to finally get a version that worked. Called Helpline. Apparently they knew about issues but didn't bother telling anyone about it.
Submitted forms still contained errors (i.e., couldn't delete duplicate T777 form). Had to "zero-out" the duplicate form so I could submit to CRA.

License counter did not work
It took over 2 hours with customer service to resolve an epic failure of the license counter - I had used only 2 returns, yet it told me that I had used 20. How can I trust TurboTax, when it doesn't know the difference between 2 and 20. That's a huge error

Been using for years but this may be the last.
I've been using turbotax for years but this may have been the last time I use it. I got nothing but errors the entire time. Constantly got "Server Busy" errors, having the software crash trying to download data from CRA.

tired of doing taxes myself
It seems every year taxes are getting more and more difficult to do yourself. I have bought turbo tax since 2011 and every year I tell myself that this is the last year I will do my taxes and the rest of the family. What bothers me the most is after completing them I get asked if I want them reviewed professionally for another 54.99$ so why bother making them and have to pay again.

Cannot use Foreign Income Verification Form T1135
TurboTax T1135 form does not have enough rows, and doesn't allow adding extras. It's useless to me and I can't net-file the T1135 return. I was forced to print out the T1135 form from CRA website, and then manually complete and mail it in to CRA Tax Office. That's absolutely unacceptable for users of TurboTax, must be fixed by Intuit ASAP!

ReFile has no flexibility
If you make a mistake on ReFile or dont understand how T.Tax applies changes you're screwed - you can't go and make changes once you get to the end of the process - no flexibility whatsoever.
Also, 8 returns? Cheap beyond belief especially since other software lets you go to 20 with no issues

Constant gliches and buried information
retirement eligible buried under word differed in RRSP section. Printed off mine and wife's turbo tax returns after I gone through warnings and reviews. For our own personal reasons I ensured my wife's return was claiming medical expenses even though she had higher income. Print off returns but when I net file turbo tax changed to me as claiming medical which my wife liable to CRA for full amount owing. Really !!! this never should have happened.

WORST EDITION OF TURBOTAX EVER
I'VE BEEN USING THIS SOFTWARE FOR MANY, MANY, MANY YEARS. THE 2020 IS A POOR PRODUCT. I HAD GLITCHES CONTINUALLY. HOWEVER, THE MOST IMPORTANT WAS THAT IT DID NOT NETFILE "BECAUSE OF AN ERROR". FIRST OFF, THE "ERROR" SHOULD BE IDENTIFIED SO THAT I CAN RESOLVE IT. SECOND, THE HELPDESK (ALTHOUGH THEY TRIED AND WERE PATIENT) HAD NO IDEA WHAT IT COULD BE AND ADVANCED SUGGESTIONS SUCH AS THE SPELLING OF THE NAME (IT CAME FROM THE SOFTWARE IMPORTING LAST YEAR'S INFO) OR THE WRONG INPUT OF A DATE (THE SOFTWARE SHOULD NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE). SO, BACK 30 YEARS TO COPYING SLIPS AND MAILING A ONE-INCH THICK ENVELOPE.

Why does the CD version not allow this and yet the download version does?

Buyer beware
I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years. Until this year I loved it. This year with repeated installation difficulties, including spending hours trying to first navigate the digital customer support and then have the 'solutions' not work repeated - I will find a different solution next year

Too few returns available
Me, spouse, both our parents and 4x adult children in same household makes for fun time, packed house and the need to buy 2+ of Standard packages because you're limited to 8 incomes over 25K (even though Fraser Institute says 60k+ is needed to be out of poverty).
So, yep, decent product ot use, somewhat intuitive in areas, but there's just as good elsewhere that is not as restrictive, are cheaper and we'll be using those next year.

Unloadable software
The software would not load on my main pc which has been used for 2014,2015,2016,2017,2018 and 2019. I have been using this software since 2003 so I am fully used to it. The various help screens were not any good and I had to resort to another older computer to get the software to load. This will be my last purchase unless something is done.

Poor Programming
I have been a client since 1996 and it was always 5 star software but the new 2020 version is not what it used to be. I had errors each time I started the software and it automatically found an update. Intuit's solution: uninstall and start again. They should not have put this software on the market.
