I've been using this software since it came out this is the worst version ever super slow not responding menu sending you other places than you ask total garbage i may not use it next year

The 2020 Turbo Tax Program was terrible. I purchased 2 discs for two computers and both of them failed to allow me to pucrhase more returns even though I had only done 12 on each disc..

My title says it all. Yup, I went out and bought a laptop with Windows 10 but next year I'll use another program or have a professional do them just because Turbotax made me upgrade to Windows 10.

In all the years that I have used Turbo and Quick Tax, this has by far been the worst experience. Several hours were wasted trying to get the software loaded. No technical support available despite following directions to contact support. Phone number not functional. User groups on TT not useful, most FAQ are blabber and should be edited out. Finally solved the problem which related to admin privilidge on Windows 10; set up a new user with admin which worked despite existing user having same admin rights. Go figure. Perhaps its a windows problem but regardless both product don't rate well with me. A Mac version would be ideal but accountants don't understand users as evidenced by both the complexity of the T1 and the software supposedly trying to make it easy. It used to take less time to do it manually and I would have saved much time taking that approach this year. I give 1 star because 0 not an option

This error code 513 did not allow me to file 2018 returns for my children even though all data in the forms was entered correctly. After calling TurboTax support, support person tried to blame this on CRA, was not competent and unable to offer assistance. Very frustrating!!! Because of that I was locked out of CRA account and now have to file returns by mail. TurboTax should have resolved this problem a long time ago. Not cool at all...

This year's Turbo Tax standard didn't include a button for BC residents to use their BC service card to access the autofill function in TurboTax...it still has the old Revenue Canada window with just the two options: Bank or Account and Password.
Don't use it if you're hoping to import your T-slips

I have used TurboTax since the beginning and it was always great till this year. I did 6 peoples taxes with this and CRA rejected all 6. I am mad and frustrated with this.

When I was about to netfile my wife's return. It asked to verify personal information for Notice of Assessment .The information was incorrect. When I changed my wife's information, The program totally changed our returns!!!! Instead of a combined return of $12.94 it showed we now owed $1271.98 What the heck is that!!!!!

Past 2 years have been a nightmare using this.I buy the disc version so not to load online due to my internet speed.Fine since 2012 until this yr &last with corrupted discs.The only fx is to download.Never again.Totally disgisted with product now.The hassle I had this year was unreal.Thought last year was a one of.Found out not.Will not promote or ever buy this again.If you can't offer a quality product stop advertising so.

The T1135 Section 2 does not allow for more than 3 lines. That's absolutely ludicrous since most people have more than 3 US firms in which they invest. This then requires us to send in a separate form manually. This is not acceptable. In addition, for rental income, if you go back in and review anything through the Easy Step, it automatically removes the percentage of ownership. For example, if my wife and I had a 50/50 rental, when you go back in to review, it changes both of us back to 100%. Because of this wonderful software glitch, I had to refile 5 years worth of taxes!!!!!

Hi. I have used your software beginning with the 2008 tax year. At that time it was called Quick Tax. This year has been a totally frustrating experience to the point I'm not certain I will return next year. It is terribly slow to load and advance. Also I found the fields difficult to manouver. Please bring back previous versions

Had a problem with reporting installments paid last year when using the forms method. I reported it, and apparently the good folks at TurboTax ignored my problem. Same problem this year. Next year I'll have to use another program!

I have used turbo tax since 2007 and never have I had such unstable version as the 2020 tax year. During my input the program started to crash but didn't quite get there, just stalled and whirled around in a hissy fit. Are you cutting corners and not testing this before you offer it for sale? Terrible - you can and HAVE done better!

I was unable to use my own computer to file my return. Turbo Tax worked fine until my return was complete. When I would try to save or print my return, the program would close on its own. I had to redo the entire return on another computer. Turbo Tax support could not help after spending 2 hours on the phone.

I have used Turbotax for every year over more than 10 years. I must admit I have never encountered the type or extent of difficulties that were present this year. I always buy the CD version so I have a record and can restore my returns.
The Turbotax was full of bugs and installation problems on a windows ten platform protected with up to date AVG antivirus protection.
First, my antivirus software indicated the CD was infected with an identity theft trojan malware. Secondly, after consulting with customer support via facebook (no other tech support conduit to the FIRM, not some user group MUD) they recommended I ignore the warning and provide an exception. I guess nothing could go wrong with an identity theft malware accessing all my CRA data and SIN number. The first question they had, was whether it was a legitimate copy. How insulting.
Then the application would not allow itself to install in the default directory, because it contained invalid characters "/", ":" in the path on a windows machine. The directory your Turbotax software specified as a default. Then the software could not locate the default software for Visual studio required to install. (the X86 software elements and drivers). I gave up . It is apparent by behaviour of that this use case wasn't tested sufficiently on virtual machines. I have worked since 1991 on software and this kind of problem is a result of inadequate test coverage and a rushed rollout. Especially the basic problems with the installation directory target. I tried to load the online version and it also would not install correctly because of drivers.
After reading an inordinate pile of bad reviews, I requested a refund. I was given a link and unfortunately could not locate my receipt. So after a week of checking out other products, and trying to locate my receipt, I decided to retry with the online version as I could not locate a copy of my bill. It finally worked and obviously had the kinks worked out. Previously, I had no reason to look elsewhere for tax software, having used it for business and personal taxes. I must state this experience has shaken my confidence in this product to the core, and I am checking the return LINE BY LINE. Because I cannot trust your code.
Next year I will be filing by paper, or another firms software. READ the reviews about this year's release it was very problematic.
At least any problems if I file by hand will be engendered by my own mistakes.

Turbo Tax 2020 Canada - Fix Your Download Problems
The TT2020 download was the worst experience in 10+ years of software use. It is buggy with the resolution and not sure if this is just a windows 10 thing. I can't believe you couldn't get this problem resolved and it is already Mar/2021. Very disappointing.

A number of choices are NOT clearly worded and therefore lead to unnecessary confusion. Also, why is Hobby Income reporting so not specific identified on your form? It would be helpful to more easily be able to locate other areas/forms - even where one has been at previously - without backtracking screen by screen.

I have bought Turbox and used for more than 10 year. This year (2021) is the worst one. First, complained my copy was not activated, even I entered the correct activation code, worked and then the whole cycle came back next time I used it. I ended up using all the attempts on the activation code. Called Help centre, did not help at all and told me to refund! Secondly, I bought a second copy and Turbox always hung at the blue screen! If Turbox wished to stay into business for the future, better improve the IT department and resolved machine problem. None, none of this problems occurred in previous version!

this use to be a very good and easy product to use,but over the past few years it has become more problematic to use.It appears that you have put in errors and problems so that we would have to pay the extra for your help.well I won't ! and next year I will be buying the other tax software program.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years with no problem. This years version was terrible. I realize I am getting older but I had a heck of a time getting thru it. I do a very simple tax return for my wife and myself but for some reason I do not have confidence in this years return. Will think hard about next year.

i have used turbo tax for more then 10 years and have had no issues but it having to deal with the slowness i will consider opting for another service next year

once i'm done with the filing, i can send to CRA directly even i have done last year and i have to print and mail to CRA, something is wrong with the Turbotax

The software works as intended. You will get hit by 3 or 4 constant ads trying to upsell you on reviews or premium or whatever.
