Scary
I am an older person who has been working though out the COVID, My job often has me updating software, I have done taxes manually for years helping others. So I'm not some bored individual looking to vent on nothing. This may be the worst piece of software I have ever dealt with. It went pretty smooth until the end when I wanted a hard copy to go over and add some details later. When printing things got very confusing. It was late at night and taxes were due. After saving a PDF, I found it would not allow me back into my "soft work copy". If it did , it should have been 101 easy. Then the printed copy said "Copy, do not send to CRA". Spent time finding a clean print. Totally mad after midnight, I decided to go to Staples the next day and buy UFILE which I had used the previous 3 years. (I had thought I would try TURBO to see if it was better). Staples was closed next day due to North American protests. Now totally mad, I did something I never do, write "how disgusted I am". Will never buy this product again. I would be afraid to send an e-copy for fear of the little league flaws in it. Will leave at that , I've wasted enough time.

Frustrated
I have been using this program for the last 10 plus years. I bought it this year and there was no disk in the box just a card with numbers. I did my taxes, got to the end only to find out my key does not work and I have to use the same log in information for all the family members if we want to submit 8 returns. No where was this communicated to me until we had all finished our returns. wasting hours. By the time we realized this you were closed for the evening and I had to buy another program. I am furious and then when I bought another program I could not even import all the information I had put in on the on live version. You have wasted hours of my time not to mention the frustration I have had to endure with other family members. Telling me to contact you via facebook or twitter for help is ridiculous when I buy the program in the hopes of minimizing my internet useage. If I was comfortable doing that why would I purchase your program in the first place when there are on line programs I could use? Understand your audience!!!!

Think Twice
I found the Help files, less than helpful. The reference to 'country code' doesn't include any of the country codes. I don't understand why it even asked me for one, when I have resided in Canada, at the same address for over 12 years, using TurboTax each and every year. Each additional year I use this product, I find it gets clunkier and slower than the year before. This year's software hung so many times, I lost count. It stopped responding while I attempted to Netfile my return. Instructions for entering T5008 slips did not indicate which field was a toggle field, that would transfer my entries to Schedule 3. Fortunately, I was aware enough to go ahead and enter the data directly into Schedule 3; thus eliminating having to determine which field was the toggle field. It was a much easier process, just typing the entries directly into Schedule 3. For the last hour, your medical optimizer has been flip flopping which of our two returns should get our medical deductions. I finally gave up and just filed the way I was planning to, over an hour ago. Please fix the T1135 so that one who types a zero into a field, can actually get a zero to print out on the form. The CRA instructions require zeroes, rather than leaving a field blank. Also please change the form, so that the user can add lines, if necessary, to a Section. In my case I needed more lines in Section 7, and fewer lines in most other sections. The suggestion on your website to go ahead and file all but the extra line's data, through TurboTax. Then print out a form and submit the missing line's data, seemed to miss the point. The second form would have to be mailed in separately from the original form that was electronically submitted. I just find that the longer I used this product, the less consistent it seems from year-to-year. The watermark is also a real hassle, particulary when one is printing to submit to the CRA. It wasn't there in the past, but for some unreason it has been added in the most recent past. Please remove it, so I can print clean copies.

Could not load my turbotax on my pc
Yes it had windows 7 but my understanding was that this was being fixed
Ha ha on me.
Well that kind of design excellence merits the rating that I felt was accurate.

I've used TurboTax for a long time. Each year the product gets worse and worse. Help is not helpful. Links are broken in software. Inaccurate.

What happened to TTax?
I actually think this software is getting worse each time I use it. It somehow becomes less efficient, less clear, and less convenient with each year. I'm starting to think I'm an idiot for sticking with it, and will very likely switch to something better.

Not the best
I worked for an accounting firm for 30 years until I retired in Dec 2019. I have used several different tax completion programs during that time and helped to complete more than a thousand tax returns. I found this program to be the worst I have ever used. You should be able to just hit F4 and enter the number of the tax form or schedule you want to complete & it pops up. I also found when using your easy step process that it duplicated some of my slips and I had to delete them. Don't know if I will use again next year or just go back to my old firm & complete them there.

Waste of money and time.
I have been using QuickTax and TurboTax since the mid 90's and last few years this program has caused me much frustration. The information for deductions is incomplete the program in not intuitive.

worst ever
1) kept getting tt6004,tt602,tt600 errors. never got it resolved so I had to redo the whole form very very irritating .
2) My t4ps forms were not automatically filled in from CRA site. Falsified my balance . Lucky I know I do not get large refund so rechecked and noticed the issues.

Not Happy
I was not able to file my 2019 taxes with this package, which I have used since 2005. I couldn't update my personal information because the fields were locked, and I couldn't unlock them. I ended up filing with a competing package, for which I had to pay. I cannot recommend use of TurboTax with this glitch in place.

Account Issues - T2091
I can no longer get into my account. Intuit USA and Canada cannot or will not fix it. T2091 residency issues with CRA means that I cannot submit my taxes. Can't get help because I cannot get into my account. Common problem according to online chats. I used to like this product and used it for YEARS. Next year I am going to reassess.

Why do you make it so hard to do a printout. I have difficulty getting a printout without a watermark. What is worse there are time when I get through to one of your call centers the person there tells me that I can file a return even with the watermark,.

Not very smart
Smart tips isn't very smart. Recommends to a 85 year old to move some of their investments into a RRSP. LOL
Also, this program keeps asking if I want to save it, numerous times, even after I do save it, it keeps returning to the same screen to save it again, and again.

A Few Serious Software Bugs
Line 21400 - When you fill out the easy step by step method, child care expenses are not transferred from the worksheet to the tax form even though you indicate prior that you are the lower income earner but do not know the net income of your spouse because they have not done their taxes yet. The software provided no warning or notification that the expenses in the worksheet will not be transferred to Tax form because you do not know your spouse or partners net income. Yet you still are the lower income earner. This should be fixed with at least a pop up box warning that without your partners net income, no child care expense will be moved from the worksheet to the Tax form. This bug was also present last year (2018) and was never fixed! 2 years in a row.

last 2 years poor
ive been using your product for 25yrs+. i was happy with it till last 2-3 yrs. it doest transfer the regular information from last years return as requested. it doest cancel the forms that are not used as requesting at printing. this form reguarding selling the house when its not sold wont take the answer no.
