Very User Unfriendly
I have used this product for many years and the 2019 edition is the worst yet. I had to second guess the software several times to get the result that I wanted. It would have been faster and easier to file a paper return. Definitely time to find a different tax prep s/w.

Saving Work

Too many issues
Not sure what the problem is this year. Perhaps COVID19 has infected the program too. I have used this program for years, and this year doing my parent taxes the program would not let me enter one of there Government T5007's. I tried several times and even had to restart the program. It is impossible to get help, if this is a program issue I should not have to pay for help. That was just one of many - but the most irritating.
Also for warnings before you file, they should link you to that part of your taxes instead of having to look for it. : (

TT805 error
TT805 error on updates.
This error blocked Netfile to CRA and only allowed paper copy through mail.
User posts show that this was a huge problem that wasn't addressed by Turbotax and that they provided no working solutions..

worst product ever
I am retired and have a simple tax return which is why I went with Turbo Tax. It is hard to follow and help is non-existant. I will never waste my money on this product again.

The program went off line and I was not able to access my confirmation and I wasted half a night trying to get a confirmation number. was not impressed. Took me twice as long as it should have and it kept telling me my info from previous year did not correspond with this and I HAD MADE NO ADJUSTMENTS. I AM NOT IMPRESSED.

Not as good as it used to be
I've used Turbo Tax for more than 5 years and I've never had as many problems as I have this year. First of all it won't let me register the product (keeps telling me "can't connect to server"). The help utilities are nearly useless and just try and figure out how to contact someone. Several times I clicked on "Continue" and nothing happened. I'll likely be looking for alternative software next year.

Disappointed
I expected better from TurboTax this year!
Found a fault with the program (other users confirmed same issue and TT acknowledged a glitch in software)and had to spend hours online and phone to try and resolve things.You would think that Intuit would be right on this, being it is tax season! Support tried to help, but to no avail. I have used this program at least 5 years and not had any issues with it...Not sure if i will be back next year Turbotax!

Issues
Turbo Tax is a piece of cramp the dollar value when entered in the T-slips keeps disappearing and i have be on the same return for the last two days ... the program should be tested before distribution etc...

Can NOT submit via online option
A very simple filling yet will not permit a Netfile application.
Lots of 'pop up' excuses' the CRA needed new forms but they will be ready in January 2020 - then 'everything' should be fine by the end of February.
It is now mid-March and I do not even have the option to PRINT a copy to MAIL in.
What a waste of my TIME (I have 3 family members to complete)

Support is Useless
After I finished entering my info and printing return I tried to Netfile but the program would not let me. I have been using this program for as long as I can remember, but the first time I need help, no one will reply. This forced me to buy another software brand and found it to be even better and cheaper. After all of these years Turbo Tax has lost me as a customer.

Free Products Are Better
Program freezes when a field is omitted during registration.
Hopefully your partner or spouse hasn't passed away during the tax year being filed. No code for her status as of Dec 31st. A simple statement would have cleared it up, but no you have to call support!
Finally, there is no optimizer for donations or medical expenses should your tax credits exceed your tax payable. You have to guess and keep on guessing until it works out. Why do I keep on buying this program year after year!

Waste of Money
This is the first time using TurboTax, and it will be the last time. Been getting a code TT 805 have tried to fix the problem, with little luck. They know of the code have tried what they said to fix it with so am giving up and letting a tax expert do my taxes.

Glitchy Mess
The software indicated the following" You indicated that CRA has an approved Disability Certificate (Form T2201)" Guess what? I never did, and 3 hours with representatives came to the same conclusion and I was told to simply try redoing it again. So I did and you guessed it, same error. So I've now submitted my taxes with a prayer that there is not some magical checkbox that we could not find causing the error. Pray for me to the CRA gods.

Not the easiest to use
This program is great for someone with basic T4's, etc. but if you are doing a married couples return with deductions, etc., it doesn't automatically optimize the best person who should claim those deductions. The help section is poor and doesn't always answer your questions.

Many bugs for Quebec users
So easy in previous years, SO painful this year...
Took me 12 hours instead of the normal 30 minutes, major bugs for Quebec users, trying to transfer federal tax to province, had to restart from beginning 10 times. Also issue with link between RL1 and T4 and T4A and RL1, the links were getting crossed all the time, giving Netfile errors that Box B and 16 did not match. Had to do multiple Hacks in the forms to get arounf to finally file. SO FRUSTRATING.

full of bugs
This year's version was terrible. There was a bug related to the Ontario CARE credit that (according to the user forums) Intuit said would be fixed by March 4. It most definitely wasn't. And then there was a bug around disability credits that I didn't claim--I kept getting warnings about this, despite the fact that the actual forms view showed no claim. What was most annoying, however, was that all the integration features with CRA website were completely half-baked and caused TurboTax to crash every time I tried them. Just hoping that they got all the math right and that my Netfile actually worked.

Unclear help
When searching for an answer under help it goes in a loop back to the same poor answer. Clearer definitions for things like medical claims on what you should put in the lines, ex what you paid or what the insurance paid. You shouldn't have to even look as it should be clear in the notes.

WORST TURBO TAX EVER
In a nutshell..I have used TT for years..the 2019 (Standard)..would not install on Win 7 or 10..(CD and Download from the site)..for a last gasp I went to a PC store and they somehow finally got it loaded.If I was CEO at Turbo there would be a few heads rolling.!!
