netfile not friendly
Very unfriendly. can't file my spouse's return. Just a red circle shows up when I try to click on the netfile for her. no explanation given. ALso constant messages that in feb the version is out of date, but i am in March so non applicable.

Netfile problem
I am a Professional Accountant of 20+ years. I understand, that every year is different, and the updates are a necessity. However, PEOPLE ARE BLOCKED FROM NETFILING DUE TO YOUR INCOMPETENCY AFTER YOUR RECENT UPDATE. Therefore, unable to Netfile their tax returns, whatsoever!!! FIX YOUR PROBLEMS ASAP, BECAUSE MILLIONS OF CITIZENS ARE LOSING THEIR PATIENTS, TIME, AND MONEY. Every single year there is a problem with your software!!! People want to Netfile their taxes, so FIX YOUR SOFTWARE IMMEDIATELY, OR ELSE, WE WILL GO ONLINE ABOUT IT.

Not Happy
Everything went well until time to file. Then Turbo said there was an error which was not an error. Turbo would not let me file to the CRA. Said I needed to print and mail. Would not buy unless really simple.

NEVER AGAIN
I'm so disappointed with this years turbo tax. you can't print and you can't e-file.This is the first time I've ever had trouble. I called in and was told it's the governments fault. I have been using turbo tax for the last 10 years or more. But other income tax soft ware is

Error Code TT403

overpromised and poor
1. software notes say forms to be ready by end of Feb and it is now Mar 2 and still not able to file. CRA getting the use of my $1500 over payment for free .
2. T5008 forms reported in CAD. After entering these I had to go back and re-enter in USD - why doesn't the screen tell you this may be required in advance (or did I miss this in Easysteps?)

Failure to Print
After following all the program prompts and ensuring that I have the most up-to-date version of TurboTax, the program still refused to print my return. I eventually spoke to a TurboTax representative who was unable to remedy the situation. I will never buy TurboTax again.

Corrupted Files
Make sure you take a copy of your .TT18 file before you NETFILE, because you won't be able to reopen to check something. Corrupted files are not solveable - you're supposed to know to go into the directory and take regular copies of the file. Unimpressive - it should keep a couple of previous versions automatically.
Also, don't go thinking the wizard is enough - expect a random form to appear for no reason that you might have to remove manually.

i have used turbo tax for years and have never had a problem this year the option to netfile will not come up so i called turbo tax rep and she said should be fixed this week and now it is one week later and i still have no option to netfile. if i wanted to mail it in i wouldn't of spend the money buying this program! so not impressed and still not resolved...….

I pay enough money for this Turbo Tax I really don't think I should have to pay more money to talk with someone or get help with my taxes. Does Turbo Tax have a easy program for people unfamiliar with using a computer or program NOPE! I had to grab my mothers and a few older friends of hers to help them use turbo tax! Rethink about your program turbo tax for the older generation.

This error said I had a corrupt or disk problem I have no disk problem tried online for help sadly had to redo. think twice about TurboTax next year. This was not isolated a lot of other unhappy customers.

Totally Unhappy
I originally bought Basic and was prompted to upgrade to standard as it would increase my refund. NEVER increased at all. I now have Basic and Standard for 2018.

not UTD information

Quirky but Predictable
I have a love hate relationship with TurboTax. It gets the job done each tax year and it is fairly user-friendly toggling between Easy-Step and Forms. However, sometimes it can do something quirky that prevents you from completing your return and may leave you and an Intuit agent tied up on the phone for hours to resolve.
As with anything connected to tax returns, you can expect some red tape and using the software will require patience, especially in cases resolution is required.
This year my dilemma was the fact that my desktop version of Turbotax would not save my completed return nor would it Netfile.
An agent couldn't even figure out what the issue was at hand or how to resolve. So, you guessed it - we had to ditch the completed return and uninstall/install the software. Then we had to complete a new return. Obviously, this was not something we were very happy about but we did what was necessary as a committed long-term user of this predictable software.

I have used TurboTax in the past. I find the new version 2018, very difficult to navigate with the proper forms I needed. Before the forms were provided from the questionnaire I filled out prior to starting my return.
