Kept showing error
The reliability of this software is questionable.
It quickly showed error and how to recover?
Because of this, I cannot recommend this version.
I have used Turbotax for many years!

Crappy software
Cant print individual form or entire return without "do not file" or "not for filing " or "copy" (or whatever they read) watermarks. Hard to select forms you want to save let alone print. True rating of this software is "0" No Stars

Stress full
I have used this turbo tax program now for three years and every year I find it very stress full and long to use when trying to figure out the best way to do your taxes when there is a spouse involved. we buy RRSP's and do charity donations to save on taxess and still pay out large. After giving away 2 to 3 thousand to charity and you can only claime $380.00 of it turns one off from helping others.

Awful
The program was excruciatingly slow, often "server busy" for 5 minutes between each field. Have used Turbo for more than 5 years - you really screwed it up this year!

Software slow, glitchy
I have used Turbo Tax for many years but the 2017 version has issues!
System took so long that I had to walk away while the mouse spun and the (Not Responding) message came up after every entry/click.
There was also an error in the spousal income splitting when I went back from Review to update - software had changed to NO on splitting and showed an error when I tried to update split value. Of course it took some time to back up far enough to change back to YES and go through all the screens again to ensure information was correct again.
Won't be buying for 2018 return unless software has corrected issues.

Awful this year
SO BUGGY! I tried online but got caught in alogic loop where I literlaly couldnt do my return so i bought and downloaded it and it was so buggy and annoying to use this year. Brutal.

Slow and clunky
I have used TurboTax and before it QuickTax for at least 20 years. I don't know what they have done but this year was the slowest clunkiest and worst experience I have ever had using the software.

Trouble with product
My daughter is a student staying in a residence where she was a residence assistant (RA). She received a T4A with $800 in box 48. She does not have a business. The program insisted on filling out the section for a business, and she could not netfile as a result. This is ridiculous.

Crap
Used this product for years. This year major fail. This year found several errors in the program and after finalizing my return tried to net file - after net filing my refund turned into me owing money. Garbage - don't buy.

Not reliable - poor service
To many places where instructions aren't only not clear but cannot make corrections even with support from Turbotax (over 2 hours trying to correct problem with removing dependent from the return) I have used them for over 20 years BUT no longer

i have used Turbo Tax for several years and this version is the worse, and I am still unable to file our taxes because I haven't got an updated version, as I just get an error when I try, and being June, this problem should be solved by now. I am extremely stressed, and will not recommend you, as I have in the past

Too many issues
Kept getting java script errors that I'd have to click on between 1-16 depending on the page (normally only 1-2), would not launch CRA website to import, would not allow me to quick navigate back to previous entries so I had to use the back button and deal with the aforementioned script errors both backwards and forwards. First run through the program didn't auto save my return so I ended up having to do both mine and my spouses twice. Using a different program next year.

Did Not Save
Ive used TurboTax for years - and this year after spending hours entering information the file did NOT save. And the SAVE and SAVE AS options are greyed out. What a COMPLETE waste of my time, Guess I will be using a different program to file next year. BEWARE!!

30 years, but no more
I have been using Turbo Tax for 30 years without any hassles but between the program trying to be too fancy, too interactive, I am fed up and will not be using it anymore. Too many errors...on their part..I enter correctly and it undoes my input..same things many times. I am getting an accountant and paying a lot more but I will sleep a lot more.

Frustrating glitch
I have had the same frustrating glitch with this software for years, hoping they would fix it. I'm not purchasing it again.
Glitch is that Dependent info does not transfer to Schedule 5 for Amount for Eligible Dependent. I've had to resort to filling out a paper copy. Trying to get a hold of you requires an act of god. Finally got an issue number and phone number and then no one answered. Argh!!!

Can't print; can't get help.
Absolute crap. I've been using TT for years and 2017 will be the last. I want to print a return to mail but I get as far as "error 1706". Someone in the community said to just press cancel when TT tries to install a new program but when I do this, it renders TT useless and I have to open the Task Manager to close TT. It's one thing to have a glitch; another to provide zero help on how to fix YOUR issue.

Worst Year for TurboTax
I have had problems this year. I did one return, very simple and filed and saved. No problem.
I did a return yesterday and it constantly says "In Progress". I keep getting the same questions,boxes at the end and it won't finish properly. I received an email saying that it was filed and received a confirmation. It still says "work in progress" What a waste of my time. I would like a refund!!!
Now I put in my rating and it still won't accept this.

Multiple Crashes Data Not Saved

Worst Ever Purchase!
I have used Intuit's Tax Software, back to 1990 (then it was Quick Returns, then QuickTax starting Year 2000, then TurboTax for Year 2010 to the present) and I must say I've never been more frustrated because of numerous glitches than this year! For several years, I've hoped that maybe, just maybe the makers of this software would get the endless errors fixed before going on the market. Nope! They just sell it like it is with endless frustrating glitches. I hate it!

2017 version has issues
Extremely disappointed with 2017 Canadian version
- saved and Netfiled; opened program at a later date - reverted to earlier stage of completion (7 days back) with no indication of Netfile
- Towards the end it asks if you want to start a new return, click on No and it goes back to save current file.
- Tried to print a return, program asked for CD

Glitches and Terrible Support
Initially entered a business loss and then went back and changed it to not reflect a business loss. Printed final (for mailing) return still showed a business loss. Had to re-do entire thing. Also trying to get support via phone seems to be next to impossible; it is not, had to go through extensive machinations to get a phone number. The phone number for support should be immediately obvious and available. Despicable and extremely frustrating!
Further, there is a problem with it printing the PRINCIPAL RESIDENCE DESIGNATION WORKSHEET even though I de-selected everything to do with this. Apparently, this is a known problem yet the company does not inform you that it is an issue. Thanks for that.
