Industry codes
the industry codes that i looked up and entered did not work, therefore unable to file business income under netfile. used software x 10 years, never had a problem before. this sucks

Not very helpful
Not intuitive and you have to look up much of the information to see if it applies to you or what it means. The "help" button is pretty much useless and the program has many glitches (froze many times, despite having all updates). Going to try another product next eyar.

Needs Improvement
I've used Turbotax for 8 years. The last 3 versions have steadily gotten worse and worse. Many of the print commands do not work. Launch time is excessive. The UI is tiresome and not up to modern standards.
Next year I'll go with another product.

This software was one of the worst I even used, and I had previous versions of turbo tax, Ufile and even free tax return version. not user friendly at all.

Print and Mail
This option does not work on the 2017 tax package. There is always a watermark that says Do Not Mail. I could find no way to remove it so I mailed it anyway with a letter to explain that Turbo Tax has issues.

unreliable
pages do not populate properly, forms do not fill out correctly, assessment file does not load, entire package very poorly supported and does not function well. It used to be good, now it is NOT. :(

getting worse
I find it getting worse than ever. I can't find things and features it used to have aren't there. This year it asked how I wanted to pay but neglected to take me there. Very disappointed. Going back to paper. ugh

worst purchase ever better by hand
This was very disappointing. I put in all my info as required and still had errors that I could not fix with a warning that i would be audited. The program should be able it properly input information without having to pay the extra fees for audit defense and professional review. Very disappointed in this product

Worse Time Ever
Spent hours trying to get the return to print. Kept getting error messages and finally a service rep said it was probably a defective disc. Total waste of time and effort. Would like compensation for time spent.

The fields on the return did not always take numbers in the T2125 and farming activities statements. This was the worst that turbotax has been in over 25 years of using tax programs.

carry forward screwup
have been using turbo tax for years. unfortunately the carry forward of education amounts this year did not work correctly causing a very large mistake in anticipated refund. very disappointed. will be hesitant to trust turbo tax again.

Although I found Turbo Tax Support staff department very helpful the program itself was not as easy to use as previous version, not as easy to navigate through forms, etc. I will be looking for a different program next year

very slow, couldn't save as I went, encryption error every single page that took forever to get rid of every single time. Not easy to go back and then come back to the present page. Very disappointed this year with turbotax.

worst tax software ever
very disappointing this year.
Book mark warnings but no way to remove them - click on stuff nothing happens
not happy with this product.
netfile submission is inconsistent, it asks to print returns and confirmation but you can only do one of them.

2017 Turbo Tax sucks
Very difficult to use compared to prior years. Did not pick up last year's info. Caught in a loop at the end; couldn't get out of the return I had just finished. Telephone authentication code process did not work. Aaarggh.

total crap
I have used turbo tax for a decade now. This is THE WORST version. I will try it again next year but if the same crap is available it will be the last year I buy it. I could not download my old information so my question is why did I pay twice as much for this program if it can`t import my info?

The program wasted lots of paper for nothing.
I have been doing income tax since 1985 and for the last three years I have been using Turbotax and every year since, their seems to be more errors in the program. A good thing I know the rules and regulation on taxes. It is very frustrating to work with this program. Next year I am going with an other program because I cannot trust this one.

frustrating
Many problems entering data into forms.
Had to switch back and forth between easy entry and individual forms - very time consuming.
Every time I opened each form again, there seemed to be data that had been entered missing and it had to be entered again. Have used TurboTax for 5 or more years and have never had these problems before.
Might not buy this software next year.

Complete Failure
My spouse passed away in 2017. First, Turbotax said I couldn't Netfile her return. Wrong. T4011, Chapter 2, second sentence says "The final return can be E-filed or paper filed". Second, Turbotax wouldn't let me do a coupled return. I had pension splitting up to the time of her death, etc that required a coupled return. The answer I got from Turbotax was I would have to "create two new files" and "manually exchange the applicable information between them". What's the point of a software program telling me I had to do something manually that the program should be able to do itself? I had two simple returns to complete and I gave up on Turbotax.
