Updating difficulties
I have used Turbo Tax for the last 5 years, and this was the first time I was unhappy with the product. It would not allow me to update despite several suggested fixes on their website. After an hour and several uninstalls, I managed to get it updated. I am very unhappy.

rubbish
The whole program is terrible with no proper guidance and not much information of how to correct things. dates on some entries are incorrect. will never buy this program again, and never recommend it to my worst enemy!!

it got worse somehow
the search feature was useless. some confusing tax terms did not have a hyperlink for a description. the description that were hyperlinked were usually very vague. asked if I wanted to import my electronic tax forms - I said ok - nothing appeared so I did it manually. Usually all the warnings and alerts at the end are useless. not worth the $$

Frustrating to use
This product was the worst it's been in all the years we have been using it. Every page had a script error pop up and sometimes took about 30 clicks of the 'yes' or 'no' box to continue to the next page. Then I went to do the next return and it said i needed to update it before proceeding so I clicked to update. Then after running a very long update process a screen popped up saying it cannot be updated. Turbo Tax files may be missing or damaged. To fix this, it needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled. Error Code 'TT305' After doing this process, the cd wouldn't run when put in the computer. It took about 15 minutes to get the cd to start running then a very long time to reinstall. Very time consuming and frustrating!!

Script errors all the time
Terrible experience after latest software updates mid March. Script errors after each step. Impossible to work.
As recommended by the TurboTax i uninstalled and re-installed software performed all latest updates and encountered the same issues.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Piece of Garbage
Every year, they make this program harder to use and less useful, while jacking up the price.
I hate this piece of garbage, but I can't even give you my honest opinion because they block all the best descriptive terms for it.
Avoid this software like the plague if you have an option.

Poor T4/Receipt Interface
The T4/Receipt Interface is very dated and not visible on Ultra-High Definition Laptop screens. All other apps function properly, and adjust automatically through Windows display settings. This shows the use of dated APIs by the programmers at Turbo Tax.
The issue was reported last year by many users. The company (or at least its programmers) do not monitor, troubleshoot or take feedback seriously regarding interface issues.
On the review screen, there is a T4 review section that displays normally. It's unclear why they don't use a similar interface for the initial entry.
This flaw makes the product very difficult and risky to use, as there is a good chance that users may enter the data in the wrong field. Since you can only install the software on one computer, it's hard to fix this problem once you have installed Turbo Tax - other than buying a monitor for your laptop.
I would not recommend the software to any Windows 7 / Windows 10 laptop user until this problem is fixed.

Very Frustrating again My parents sold house that had been principal residence foreverI checked this box and since they didn't have to claim it and I didn't see any other questions on this page I moved on only to get to the end and find out I had to add two entrees where there was blue zeros and wasn't allowed and could not now E file which was why I bought this in the first place Poor very poor when you can not correct and are punished when you do

Not easy to use. changes at the final stage can be made (with some difficulty) but then the return can NOT be filed electronically.
I would not recommend this. It is easier to do the return manually

After almost completing a return using the Turbo Tax Basic it was recommended that I update to Standard. I did so and recieved no additional refund what so ever. Instead I paid for two Turbo Tax programs which exceeded my total refund!!

2016 Netfile Issues
We are not able to netfile using TurboTax standard. We have tried many times and just keep getting error messages. When trying to upload file, won't save as a .netfile document.

I am unable to NETFILE my return. I keep getting the message "We're sorry, TURBOTAX couldn't receive the NETFILE Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice from the CRA".

Netfile Doesn't work...
Waited until 6pm EST Feb 20th 2017, and the built in netfile service still failed to properly update the "terms of service" or whatever garbage it needed, so I had to manually save and upload the netfile returns myself.

Would not file
Tried all day to netfile taxes and kept saying sorry turbotax couldnt receive the terms and conditions and privacy to cra. did it manually through netfile online and it sent in seconds so obviously it was on turbo taxes end on why it was not sending. turbo tax should make sure that the program they are providing should have the bugs fixed. from what ive seen online this is an issue that happens each year. So dont think ill be purchasing this program again if i cant not file through turbotax on the first day

Do not recommend this product
The product is not easy to use. Not intuitive at all. I have had to make several attempts to go back and forth between easy navigator and the form method to use it. Very frustrating indeed to use this product.

Great product however my tax computer uses windows XP and I have no need to upgrade the operating software therefore since they no longer support windows XP I am no longer a fan of these products and will be using something else in the future.

You need to know taxes
There was a time when I would install Turbotax and drop a few numbers when told to and it would work it out for you. Doesn't seem to do that the way it used to. I seem to need to know more about the taxes than the program. Supposed to be the other way around. Isn't the program supposed to tell me what I should do to save taxes? I get the feeling that I am supposed to know everything. I might as well drop all my stuff off with an accountant and pick it up in a week and not have to do much of anything.

Confusing
Walking through the steps and answering questions is easy enough but when it came time to file the process is muddled. Don't use this product if you want to be sure your taxes have actually been filed. Added more stress to the tax process which is definitely not what I was looking for.
