Dissatisfied with Program
We have used Turbo Tax for yrs and it was very user friendly. However, this year has been difficult to maneuver through the program and when entering the Medical Receipts the program would not "Optimize" choosing the best person to put the receipts under. It said to go into the Medical Expense Optimizer but we could not find it. At the end we were not able to print both confirmation numbers. When it was time to do the survey this program would not link to the site to do the survey.

third turbo tax used.
I will not use this product another year. It is too confusing for seniors to figure everything out, and when it says you have an error, I think if you circled it in red, we could then know what we have to fix. And then when you think you have fixed it, it still won t let me Netfile.

If you have to fill out forms there is no ability to use copy on reparative information. Elder people should be wary of this if they have medical claims.

Not Good
Disappointed...
- Once I started EasyStep I was locked in at the end and accidentally submitted a report by Netfile. Fortunately I had set bookmarks and was able to go back and review before sending a second report.
- Hard copy printout had printing errors but this may have been due to dated print drivers for my printer. (although the pdf printed out ok with the Adobe program.)
- Seriously disappointed this program will not run on Windows XP next year. I keep XP around just because TT doesn't have a version for Linux.
- Why doesn't TT make a version that runs on Linux. After all a version is available for Apple iOS which is a Unix variant just like Linux.
- I'll be switching to a different product next year.

Horrible program! Insists that there are errors where none exist!! EX. demands apartment number when none exists at that address. Then tells you you have an error if you don't fill it in. As a result you cannot netfile the return.

Could not NETFile
Have been using this product for 10+ years. Unable to NETfile this year since I have a second business with a different address. Software wasn't able to handle this situation so I have to print and mail return. Exceedingly unimpressed and will be rethinking next year's purchase.

Terrible to use in wizard mode. Explanations were bad, made no sense and did not offer any direct option to contact Intuit for help. Forms mode (same as doing it yourself) is better but if you use this, why buy the TT s/w in the first place?

can't save when I need to
I completed returns for my husband and myself in very early March and when it started to ask how I wanted to submit payment, I stopped to wait for confirmation of the amount of a medical deduction before submitting. I tried to save the file but the "save" and "save as" were grayed out. I (foolishly) assumed that it had been saving along the way as a good input system would. When I returned to review and submit the returns there was no file to be found so I had to start again from the beginning... Not impressive!!

Become Very confusing 2015

Software not compatible with all computers.
I do not like this software. When I try to complete the information using EASY WAY, the blank space does not let me see what I am entering. I keep getting error messages that there is a problem with the script. This software is not compatible with my computer. It takes me twice as long to complete the form and I am nervous that I missed a form.

Not good purchase this year
I wanted to print it out and mail it to Revenue Canada however I either didn't do it right or it wouldn't let me. That part is completely user unfriendly. It use to be easy to print out and mail. What did you do to it to make it difficult?

I have completed the Turbo Tax as directed and then tried to net file my return but an error message keeps showing that the is an something missing or omitted. After reviewing the input information, I cannot see any incorrect entries or declarations. If your program can detect an error why can't it indicated where it is located? I therefore can not net file this return.

Disappointed this year
I am so annoyed. When I went to buy the product (via the sales email I got), TurboTax recommended the basic one. Ok, I'll take that advice. But part way through doing our returns (AFTER I'd typed in all our info, since the basic kit does not transfer it from previous files), I realised that I should've bought the next level up.
So I had to upgrade, and at full price (the email I got had offered me a discount). That's really lousy service.

Ownership not Taken for Bug (HBP Repayment)
Despite confirming a bug in the 2015 Turbo Tax software with both Turbo Tax and CRA; the company failed to take ownership. The bug resulted in me having to do an override (which I had to figure out myself) that then resulted in no longer being able to Netfile. Turbo Taxes suggestion was to print and mail. So on top of paying for the software, I also have to pay for paper, ink, and stamps. This is quite disappointing for a company I have trusted for the past 3+ years.

Freezing Screens
2015 Turbo Tax freezes the screen for a couple of minutes in almost every tab. A big waste of time to file our returns. Extremely frustrating to a point that I took videos of the freezing screens!
