turbo tax
i did my sons and daughters taxs and my daughter was a student and had deductions and they made about the same and he is getting back a lot more then her, like it was better to not make the deductions

Turbo Tax not avail for Mac
I switched from PC's to a Mac. The lack of a downloadable option for Mac OS from Intuit is pretty poor. I've used TurboTax and it's predecessor for years, but now that I have switched to a Mac, guess it's time to re-evaluate my tax software choice.

don't like it.
I couldn't get my family caregiver credit to work and even though I emailed twice, I didn't even get an acknowledgement of my email much less an answer. I had to file my taxes with the incorrect information on it!

2013 version is memory hog
I have used Turbo Tax and Quicktax for almost 20 years and have always found it quick and easy to use. This 2013 version was not. For some reason the program bogged down my computer and was incredibly slow and I mean SLOOOOW. I checked the memory usage of this years compared to last years and this years was using up to 500000kb of memory and previous versions only about 5000kb of memory. This was a frustating year for that reason.

very disappointed with turbo tax this year
Quite difficult to deal with turbo tax this year and frustrating with parts of the program. will probably try a different program next time as only the carry forward option had me return. Again a lot of difficulty with my program and when backing up a page I would get a totally different page which added to a very aggravating situation

Worst Year for Program
I found that you could not go anywhere in the program without finding ads for other services. Other years this was not the case. When I pay money for a tax program that is all want to recieve. I do not like to have McAfee security loaded on my machine at the same time. I found that this year this program was a total waste of my hard earned money and I don't think I will be purchasing another tax program from your company. I have been using this same program since it came out as Wintax back in the early 90's.

Worst Version Ever
We've used Intuit tax software for the last 15 years and have always recommended it to friends and family. This year's version was difficult to navigate and cumbersome to use.
In previous versions, the step-by-step method ensured an easy and accurate return and enable us to input previous year's tax returns as a starting point. This version would not pick up the tax returns from previous years, so bad starting point. Then, it introduced errors throughout, requiring us to go back to the slips to fix things.
Made an already unpleasant task downright awful.
Of course, there is the option to pay to ask them why their software is generating such results ... you know, if you don't know how to work the return line by line. Did not take advantage of this option having many years of doing income tax experience ... but if the product introduces errors, this kind of service should be provided free of charge ... stand by your product.

ad-ridden
the number of pages that i would consider an ad in the middle of trying to do my taxes was absurd. i don't want ads in software i'm paying to use. if there was a page at the start or end in check box style with all the optional services it wouldn't have bothered me.

Never again
This is my 4th year of using Turbo Tax. First 3 years were fine, but this was most frustrating. I could not save files as PDF, therefore could not print returns. Saw identical problems on the help list. Most frustrating. Also kept getting messages that personal info had been changed, but nothing had changed and I kept checking for errors/omissions but there was none. Will be looking at other options next year.

TurboTax 2013 stinks
TurboTax 2013 is undoubtedly the worst release ever! The bright side is that it is so terrible that it can only get better:
-initial releases wouldn't even load on many of the operating systems it was supposed to work on.
-for some machines, including one of mine, Turbo
Tax Canada never did come up with a release that would work even though TurboTax U.S. managed to do so.
-The TurboTax Netfile part was fraught with errors and glitches. An example of one frustrating error was the check whereby it displays the total Interest & Other Investment Income amount and insists that it be all sorted into specific interest categories even though the other Investment Income part couldn't fit as its not interest. An example of the glitches is claiming there was no internet connection when their obviously was. If you chose to proceed, it sometimes worked & sometimes failed.
Arrrghhhh TurboTax 2013 wasted an enormous amount of my time and has left a very bad taste in my mouth!

Fed Up with up selling in program
For the past few years I've been increasingly irrated with the up selling of Quicken and Audit Defence. Now with the Will stuff, I've had it.
This year is the last year I'm dealing with TurboTax. There are free options out there every bit as good.

problems downloading and running program
The software would not download. I downloaded manually. Then the program would not run. I had to spend 2 hours working with a technician to find viable way for it to work. After using TurboTax for 15 years I will not be purchasing it again.

Would have lost me refund money
The donation optimizer does not work! It saved me and my wife over $800 to split our donations between us but the program kept forcing all of the donations onto one return.
The optimizer was no help at all.
I wonder how many years the program has done that to us in the past.

Horrible
Very difficult for visually impaired to use. My spouse had to sit with me and read every screen. Errors/warnings were identified but the program failed to specifically identify the area under concern. The review process leads you to steps previously completed thus wasting my time. THe product survey was at best stupid requesting that all items be completed when in fact there was no need.
Overall this product disappoints each year and there appears to be no effort to improve it.

confusing
I had the hardest time doing my taxes on this software. Usually it's not that bad but this year it kept giving me an error and asking me to fix it. When I fix it I receive another error and either way I can't netfile my return sine an error is present. Next year I'll be moving away from TurboTax.

This version needs review and update.
I am very unsatisfied and still not able to net file my return as of this date.
I am asked to provide self employment information before I can net file.
"very frustrating"
I am on disability and pension incomes. I am not self employed.
This 2013 version is not enabling me to make corrections to these errors.

I want to put my thumb in my eye
Turbo Tax support for MS Windows only users means this is the LAST year I will use this product. So ends my 22 year relationship with Intuit / Quicken. OS/X isn't something that Intuit takes seriously, so I will find another vendor.
