Worst Tax Return Mistake I Ever Made

Inability to make changes
There were corrections needed that I was unable to make. I tried many times and on different days, thinking I might have done something incorrectly. Unfortunately, nothing helped.
I'm a seasoned business woman, retired now, and I still work on my computer daily, so I don't think it's a case of not knowing the technical side of things.
I used to enjoy the Intuit Quick Tax program for tax returns and I know you're the same corporate entity but TurboTax is just not flexible enough for making corrections.

sending to cra
Sending to cra was a nightmare.Turbo Tax obviously wouldn't or couldn't assign a file to my name or number to my forms therefore cra kept refusing to accept,After many, many, many, attempts at sending to cra my two forms were finally accepted.But it took hours to finalize the whole thing.

Poor Handling of Deceased's Return
I have used Turbo Tax for years, for returns for me and my family - this year I had to fill in a return for my deceased mother. I checked your literature to make sure that this would be handled by the program.
I was extremely disappointed with how the return was handled. after identifying it was for a deceased person, the program made no allowance for the fact. For example, despite not being allowed to Netfile, I was led trhrough multiple pages trying to convince me to Netfile, only to end up telling me I wasn't allowed to. I KNEW THAT, and the program should have skipped those steps based on the YES answer to "Is this for a deceased person" question. As corresponsence will now have to be sent to me, I answered yes to "Is there a new address" and was asked what date I moved! I didn't move she DIED! I also had problems with the Ontario Seniors Property Tax Credit, I got an error message, but it was cut off in mid-word so I don't know what the problem is. Finally, I went to print the return to mail, and it listed for forms I needed to send, then printed completely different ones... all in all, it was such a frustrating experience that I may have to fill in a return by hand since Turbo Tax hasn't given me what I need to file.

NEEDS CORRECTION
Entering a foreign pension with "Easy Steps" adds it
on Line 104 instead Line 115. Consequently the tax
calculation is wrong. Wasted a day by correcting the data manually.

nothing but frustrating
had problems loading software for the first time ever. Then once I finally got it loaded, had trouble uploading and netfiling returns. Was a terrible experience at start and finish. I have used Turbo Tax for many years and this is the first year with so many problems. Will NOT be buying this software again next year.

This is the worst version ever
I have bought this product in the past but this may be the last time. I did a joint return as recommended but the result did not look right. I then did two separate returns that saved me over $1,000! Now which is the correct way to file?

TurboTax Std
I've been using TurboTax for years - since it was Intuit. I always found it be very user friendly and easy to use. This year WHAT HAVE YOU DONE???
I couldn't launch the program,until I paid for professional help. Now I can't NetFile and I can't print a submission copy (only "file copy").
Why did you feel you had to "sophisticate the software". It wasn't broke -now it is.

major bug not corrected bad work around
I am very disappointed with the product this year. I ran into a bug in the software when I tried using the joint return feature. The work around caused me to have to go back and correct my spouses return after I netfiled my return. This was uncovered at the end of March/2013. I would have thought that they would have corrected this bug very early on, however it wasn't. Will really have to rethink purchasing this software next year.

I entered pension income in the appropriate boxes, the Turbo Tax program shifted these entries to other pension income, it was lumped with superannuation; then the program would not allow me to correct this. I am quite frustrated with this program and will definitely not use it again.

let down this year
I have used TurboTax (and QuickTax) for years now and this year have had so many issues with it, I will not be using it next year. It added information on its own that I did not enter and I was unable to use netfile for 2 people. Over all I am not impressed and very let down by this software this year.

Turbotax works fine on simple returns but if you encounter a problem with the program you will not recieve support so you're on your own. Buyer Beware!

Frustration
The tax program itself was fine until it came time to netfile. Like last year I again found it difficult (this year impossible) to netfile. The problem comes when I try to "browse" to retrieve the file in the proper format. I'm trying something else next year. This year I'll just snail mail my return.

I found the soft ware not realy clear and confusing.
I would sugest when the software flag an error, the ways for resolusion should be provided.
Also many of the questions or words are not clear and I had to search for the meaning of words in order to complete the answres.
The soft ware dose not analyse the sitaution for the onfo completed and provide more accurate tax saving suggestions.
