I borrowed money based upon bad advice
I borrowed money using the RRSP wizard.
Little did I know that it was trying to claim my spousal tax credit because I was waiting for her to finish her return. So I borrowed money based upon what the RRSP wizard told me I could repay with the tax refund. They were wrong by $4000!!! now I owe $4000 more than I can afford. Thanks for nothing!!!

Hard to read the screens
It would certainly be nice if they'd use a larger font so it doesn't take those with reduced vision two magnifying glasses and a seeing eye dog to read.

Disappointing help
The 2012 version has the same error as the 2011 regarding transferring the disability tax credit to spouse in error. Fix was promised for March 7, but did not happen. The solution I got did not work. My overall experience was disappointing.

Tax Time Nightmare
I have used Turbo Tax before and it was easy to use and understand.
This year was a nightmare trying to get the most refund with my wife's and my returns.
Starting with the RRSP deductions, it was hard to find where to input my RRSP contributions and the RRSP Wizard was supposed to be just a tool. A large Tool for sure!!
Maximize your deductions in the Medical deductions was also a big flop. Where in previous years you just had to click a button when asked if you wanted to maximize the medical deductions. This year a little line came up asking us to maximize medical but I had to got to the end and when checking I noticed my wife's return had no medical deductions. I had to go back and change the deductions over to my return and got about $700 more on my refund, No thanks to Turbo Tax.
Next year I m thinking of doing my returns on paper again!!!

Good except for filing
I completed the Turbo Tax and thought that it was wonderful--UNTIL it came to Filing. There were 2 options-- to file or not to file. No matter what I did, it would not let me choose to netfile. What use is that? I purchased "Turbo Tax" so that I could complete and file my return. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED!! It may be my fault, but I think not. There should be a way to send it by internet. According to emails that I saw from other users, this is a common problem.

Poorest Purchase ever
You can't get the netfile demonistration to work and as a result, you cannot net file with this software. It is much less user friendly than previous versions and I WILL NOT PURCHASE YOUR SOFTWARE AGAIN

Garbage
Have fought with this netfile procedure now for approx 26 hours, and still cannot net file two very simple and short forms. Tomorrow I will either go to an accountant, or pick up forms at post-office to mail in.

Address Issues
Very disappointed with the issues surrounding the address and the inability to netfile returns. Even more disappointing was the lack of support from any source when I tried to get help, from unstaffed phone lines, from chat lines or even from the Community. Turbotax had no interest in helping once they had my money. I could live with the error in the program, but the lack of support is unsatisfactory. I will be using another option next year.

Worst Purchase Ever
I was not able to view any of the demonstration videos even after I had downloaded updates. Also I was originallly unable to click on the option to Netfile.
I was eventually able to Netfile after downloading updates several times. The Net File set is not user freindly at all.

Forced IE Use
I have done everything in my power to remove/block IE use on my computer yet your software went ahead and decided I wanted to use it. The result was massive popups/errors/computer lock. I am now forced to do a full system check to insure security/stability and with luck will not have to do a full system wipe.

after people telling us how easy this was to use we opted to buy it and use for the first yr after 3hrs of trying to sort it all out as alot of forms were unclear to what to do where totaly confused and unsure if it has been done corectly no help what so ever i suggest people pay the extra and have it done correctly waist of money if i could claim this back i would not happy at all

Could not NetFile
I have been using Turbo Tax since 2005.
This is the last time.
I spend an afternoon trying to NetFile and was unable to. This new system has not worked for me.

This program needs work!
This program does not seem to be as intuitive as it used to be. And I now feel a serious case of eye strain. I have a huge high def monitor, and I could barely read the prompts. The prompts were too separated from the response areas. Very often, the screens had to be scrolled to the bottom, so that the Continue button was visible. I will be searching for alternative programs for next year.

Why have advertising in fully paid software
If the software will include advertising then I would expect the software to either be free or be offered at a nominal price of $9.99.
I don't appreciate having to read through advertising when I paid full price for software.

Printing
I ended up having to print my "copy only" because the original came out blank. I went over it several times & tried to print several times but it was still blank. I couldn't do netfile because I moved so I had to print out an original!
This product has changed from last year & I'm very disappointed as I've been buying Turbo/Quick Tax for years. This was a waste of my money!

There was a problem with the carry-overs from 2011 that were never addressed.
