I entered all the info into my computer and then was unable to open the file and had to reenter all the info onto my laptop to be able to file my taxes and could not find any info on your website to help me so I am not sure I will use your product next year,

could not file
Could not update and could not file big waste of time. I even tried printing the returns and it would not even let me do that! i will never buy this product again and will tell my friends and family to avoid this piece of junk!!!

Poorly made
Poorly made program, liked Quick Tax better. Program wants to change screen resolution, that makes program too big for screen viewing. When clicking to go to form, screen automatically changes to be too big and there is no way to go back, have to do a hard shut down of program to get out of screen, no shortcut keys to shrink page size, cannot see minimize button or continue buttons, screen just goes way too big. Get message medical receipts too high or something like that, when receipts are fine! Glitch in programming?? Wish Quick Tax was still around, was a far better written program.

What Happned?
What happened in 2011??? I have been using TurboTax for many years and have always been very satisfied. But the 2011 version has been a complete disappointment. The software is poorly thought out and difficult to work with. The EasyStep process was awkward and poorly designed. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing... It would ask the same questions over again. It was very poor at detecting entry mistakes that were mostly created by repeated or confusing requests for input asked by the software. I had to review every printout and correct the mistakes that TurboTax should have easily detected.
The review process was terrible. It asks you to review items that you have already answered the questions for. The software is very generic and does not pick up and use the information that has been input so you are constantly being cycled back checking input, and often the software ended in a dead end… The software designer could not figure out how to lead you to a helpful resolution so just leaves you to figure it out for yourself. THANKS!
I am not sure what software to use next year as I have been TurboTax advocate for so long… Hopefully 2012 will be a good year!

Are you Kidding me???
My dear sister in law told me to "get with the program ,,, that I should be using Turbo Tax, and Sharing Income and It was so easy..... Ha Ha ...The first day I was Ripping my hair out, The second day I managed to complete it with the help of my sister who is a CMA. Now I hate my Sister-in-law.
Next year I will go back to doing Tax Return by hand

Confusing
Had 2 serious problems with the online version: doubled my donations and it didn't include scolarships in the total income amount. Just noticed checking the pdfs file in the end and had to do it all over again in the desktop version.
It's also quite dificult to advance screens, in my opnion. Not very user friendly.

don't buy the cd
You cannot import anything you did online last year if you use the CD.
So if you use the online service - do not buy the c.d
You end up having to pay 2x and no way to get a refund...

Poor version for 2011
I have been happy up until this year. There was a required update to import previous data and electronic T4s. I was not offered this option until after I manually added my data and went back in to review after saving.
I most likely will not return to using TurboTax

Optimizer Problems
Used online version and found I was missing the charitable donation optimizer after contacting Intuit that it was different from the 2010 CD version that I bought last year. Suspected problem with 2011 online version when the pension split optimizer gave my spouse $1829 of my pension, giving me all of my $3002 taxes back and a carryover of $329 charitable donations. My pension split for 2010 gave my spouse $9000. I then manually entered in the amount of $9500 and the refund dropped to $2980 (a $20 difference) but my charitable donation carryover increased to $3200. Why would I then use the optimizer since I would rather lose the $20 and save the extra $3000 approx. donations for next year. The online version does not give a slider bar to adjust. I then bought and downloaded the 2011 CD version and went through the whole process and discovered that I can get all of the $3002 refund back and save $1290 donations to carry over if I did the pension optimizer first and went back to enter in the donation receipts one by one and optimize the pension split occasionally to see where I was at. But the order of the program leads you to enter donations first. So there is a difference in the online and CD version that is not made clear to the customers and the pension split optimizer does not take into account how it would benefit carrying over charitable donations in the future.

Worse purchase ever
I will no longer be a customer in 2013. I had been using Quick Tax for the longest time and then Turbo Tax for 2010 and 2011. I had seen no improvement and even worse navigation within the program. How can you even allow such a product to be put on the shelves and be proud of it. I am very disappointed and I will not recommend your product to anyone anymore!!!!

Horrible since changing from quicktax
This program is one of the worst programs I've ever used. Continual pop ups and repetitive questions trying to sell additional products are totally inappropriate and unacceptable in a program I've paid to use.
With all the multiple clicks required, I'd be better off going back to the paper returns...which is exactly what I'll be doing next year.

Medical entries could be made so much easier if turbo remembered and displayed already entered data so that you would not have to retype the same information over and over and over and over and over and over ........... Am I making my point yet?? Also why do I have retype the patient's name over and over and over and ...... I think you get point now. Also I need to modify my medical entries and have yet to figure out how to do it - very frustrating!!!!

Worst TurboTax Ever
This release of Turbo Tax will not save your tax returns properly. Did both my husbands and my taxes and used the easy step save everything and when I went back in to netfile and print hard copies the returns were not there. Have bought Turbo Tax every year. Will never purchase it again

At the beginning of the program where the previous tax year files are transferred, none of the names where transferred into the box, therefore easy access to the tax file I was working on was not readily available.
When I wanted to print just specific forms before filing my return, after clicking in that section, no specific forms came up and therefore I was not able to print only the forms I wanted.
I never had these problems in previous years with this program.

SWITCHED TO UFILE
Was told that you could prepare returns and prepare netfile files without being connected to the internet. THAT IS NOT TRUE. To prepare the quebec netfile file you have to be connected to the internet, so turbotax can send your information out ???
DO NOT TRUST TURBOTAX !!!!!!

Poor display settings
Display settings do not work on several of my computers even when I tell turbo tax not to change them. Had difficulty finding deductions. Search did not take you directly to topic, and was very limited in items you could search. Online help was no help. quicktax was a far superior product. I will not use this software again. Not easy to use! Even the instructions for this opinion are hard to understand. Doesn't say to click on stars to rate!

Great but can't locate the finished files
It's always fun to try to find the charitable deductions section in this system, it's there you can eventually dig it out, keep looking! However the worst thing is trying to find your netfile file, can't find either of them at all...totally useless, don't buy it.

wouldn't relaunch or load
I had hoped to use the program to complete four returns. After sucessfully loading the program and completing the first return, the program, after being closed, would not open to complete the other returns. This necessitated removing the program several times and attempting to reload the program. It was extremely fustrating as the program even though it was reloaded still wouldn't re-open. .
