Very User Friendly Software

Easy to use

Very easy to use
I have used Turbotax for the last few years, and I always find that I have peace of mind filing with them because they ask the right questions, don't miss anything, and the program updates every time I open it, just in case something has changed.

Still the Best
I have always used Turbo Tax and I find it is the easiest and fastest way to do my taxes. This year is even easier and faster. I did both my wife's and my taxes in less than 1 hour.

turbo tax
Like just about ALL establishments and institutions with whom one must enter one's address (including and most-notably Canada Post) the available format does not provide clear data fields for all eventualities. For instance, my wife and I abide in Apartment 2 of Building 3 in our apartment complex. The "Building 3" bit is very important because there is also an Apartment 2 in Building 1! Guess where Canada Post often re-route our mail.
When, as my wife and I do, submitting data for both returns at once, there are credits which may only be claimed by one or the other; and therefor data is only required to entered for that one eligible or elected. There are, however, fields available for both submitters with no "tick-this-box" switch to restrict data entry to the elected partner; and consequently it is uncertain what to do with the fields provided for the non-elected partner: are they left empty thus restricting that partner from some unknown or obscure credit? is it filled and correctly ignored? or is it filled and treated as an improper attempt to claim an ineligible credit?
Otherwise, easy-peasy.

Always use TurboTax
This year I didn't like that if you asked to print Federal Return instead of Individual Pages you got the 7 pages of info re Splitting Pension Income even if you did not split any. All it showed at the top of the 7th page was a box with a "No" checkmarked. A waste of paper and ink.

Quick and easy
I have used Turbo Tax for many years. I like that they make improvements every year to make it easier to complete. The step by step guide system is easy, quick and accurate. Linking to the CRA web-site to download data is a big time saver and helps accuracy as well.

Closing the Program
Why does the program end up in an endless loop at the end of the return when you state you do not want to do another return, but does not exit the program, and instead keeps going back to the return you were completing. Finally have to close Turbotax
