Great tool
Turbo tax standard is a great way to do your taxes. Why pay a 3rd party when you can use this software very easily. It takes you through the task explaining everything well as you progress to completion.

Made life easier
This was my first time using tax software; had always done taxes the old fashioned paper way with calculator, pencil, and large eraser in hand. I found this to be much easier and a big time-saver!

GOOD
Had no issue EXCEPT in moving expenses where they ask about NET income but it is really NOT explained well, took me 4 times to get through it.

No Accountant Needed
Turbo Tax Standard is great. Most of the time my returns are fairly simple, but last year I had some self employment income that I wasn't 100% sure what to do with. I thought perhaps I would need to take my taxes to an accountant but I didn't. I just answered the simple questions when building my profile and Turbo Tax took care of the rest. I will be purchasing it again next year.

Very Consistent, Year after year
I have used Turbo Tax, and its predecessor for many years and have always enjoyed the simplicity of the data entry and the quality of the output. If I were to make one comment, it would be that a simple "Changes from Last Year" section would help those of us out of the Financial/Tax field. Otherwise, keep on keeping on.

The only tax software
I've used Quick Tax now Turbo Tax for as long as I can remember. Easy to use, straight forward. answer the questions honestly and ask for help if in doubt.
There might be shortcuts a professional may know, but if your tax situation is simple and straight forward...this is the way.

My only concern is that error box that keeps popping up every time you want to go to next page. "Error can not script" Other then that it is a great tool.

Good purchase
This product is easy to use and asks very useful questions. I have netfiled 4 returns and would buy this product again next year! Also, their Customer Service is very good. My only wish is that I could print every page, such as the Summary pages.

Very Helpful
This software is easy to use and affordable. My wife and I use this software every year to file our taxes. We can get our taxes done in about an hour. The connection to the CRA site to gather our information and Netfile service make using this software a breeze.

Easy Step is very helpful
Easy Step does a nice job of prompting one through the questions that are relevant to doing ones taxes. The provision to go "back" at any time, or to go directly in at a certain point in the Easy Step process is really good. Also really found the Donations Optimizer, Pension Splitter, Medical Expenses Optimizer really great. I also like how it immediately calculates the tax owing and displays it on every display so one knows if the last change positively or negatively affected the taxes owing. Great product.

CRA headaches
I recently moved, and updating info on tax return is not good enough for CRA, you need to call them or log into your CRA profile which is inconceivably difficult as you need to use a Sign-in Partner. Other than that, Turbo Tax is great.

Pay attention to warnings
Have used it for years but this year I overlooked the part where I should have ticked I know I'm not eligible for spousal deduction. The drop down only appears when you tick it should be part of main page

Great Product

Consistently excellent product
I have used TurboTax for over 10 years (starting back when it was QuickTax). It is consistently the best tax preparation software you can use. EasyStep makes it simple... just follow the prompts and you are done.

Change wording on some questions
Some questions could be made clearer:
There are two questions that ask if you sold stock. How about changing the second ask to include "... where not already reported on a T5008". Also, have you ever participated in the Home Buyers Plan would be better phrased if asked "Are you actively participating ...". I paid mine off years ago, but answered yes because of the way the question was phrased and encountered a whole bunch of screen later that I didn't need to. Other than that, this is by far the best tax software. Used it for years.
