This was the first time in YEARS that I did our own tax returns and it was a lot easier than I expected - a few hiccups, but we managed to figure them out. We'd really like to see further explanations in the Tips, Warnings and errors. is there any way they could explain the personalized solution to these problems? In particular, the repayment of a first time home buyers plan. It was difficult (for me!) to understand the message but finally figured out that, because no RSP contribution was made, the repayment amount was going to be added to my income. Made sense once I figured it out. We did not claim medical expenses either, because it appeared the amount was too much for our income - not sure if we did this correctly, so we've kept the receipts for next year.

Easy Peasy
Turbo Tax is a great product. It is quick, easy and secure. Follow the prompts and voila your taxes are done! I'd highly recommend anyone to use Turbo Tax! The alerts and tips are useful and assure you you're getting it done right as you go along. Takes the stress out of filing a return. I'm hooked!

Absolutely life saving
I was so overwhelmed to do my taxes by myself as I usually go to those ridiculously expensive tax places. But it was surprisingly easier than I thought and it helped me get my maximum refund! Yay!

This is good
For the past maybe 12 years I had done my taxes with Turbo Tax and it never failed me. It is affordable and my kids and sometimes my friends use my Turbo until they realize same than I, that they can share their own with their family. Tax return usually comes within 2-3 weeks.

I find Turbo tax is very easy to use and follow up until the very end. Then it get confusing as to whether I have actually filed my returns or not. But overall wouldn't do my taxes any other way. spuds

I purchase one of these turbo tax to do our household taxes each year. It is so up to date and doesn't let you miss anything an gets all the things put into the right places. I have been using this tax software or whatever it was called before for about 15 years however this will be my final year as I won't be upgrading my Windows XP just so I can use this tax program next year.

Don't look any further
I have been using TurboTax (& it's predecessor QuickTax) for 16 years now. It does the job, simply & quickly; & with eFile, it makes tax-time "almost painless".
Especially nice are the ability to "roll forward" information from last year's tax return, saving even more effort.
Automatically calculating & prorating Spousal amounts is a labor-saver too.
The "Review" tool is particularly helpful, since it finds things I forgot to do, & makes suggestions on ways to save some taxes on various items.
I remember the "not-so-good-old-days", when I would sit with a calculator for hours, doing my tax return by hand (& the even older days, before digital calculators, when I had to add the numbers up on a piece of paper!!).
Thankfully, today, we have TurboTax. I can't imagine going back to the old way(s) of doing our taxes.
If you haven't already tried it, you are in for a most pleasant surprise.
