Well worth the cost.
I like the ability to go back and forth between easy-step and forms, since sometimes the form-method is easier to use, such as for the medical expenses, and charitable donations.
My only negative was that I thought it would send in the T1135 form for me as well. It said I had to do it myself and mail it in. This is in spite of the CRA website saying it could be sent in electronically this year for the first year.

Great Product
I think Turbo Tax is a terrific product in terms of its completeness and ease of use. I have used it for over 5 years for our family.
The one thing I would like to see revised is the process when there is a offer to "optimize" the allocation of medical expenses or charity donations to one spouse or the other. In these situations, it would be helpful if there were two changes:
1) if one wanted to take advantage of the optimizer suggestion that results in a lower amount of tax paid, then choosing that option should be able to make all the relevant changes to previous entries (it currently does not). It IS mentioned that the changes are not done and that the user is responsible for doing so, but it would be nice if there was an option to have the software do this automatically.
2) it would be nice to have some brief but clear description of WHY the optimizer choice results in higher tax savings.

Long time customer
I have used this program for 14 years and have always found it to be very helpful and easy to use.
I do returns for family members. One concern I had this year was the ambiguity regarding the child activity credit. This could be helped by a fuller explanation of what this is and which parent (higher or lower income should claim). I find the government's name for different credits very confusing.

Excellent program for the money
Program is easy to use. The program asks questions to construct a profile of you and then you complete the forms as they are presented in the process of completing your taxes. Also easy to use the helpful hints as you proceed throughout the program.
The automatic tax calculator (that displays your refund or tax owing) is a great feature, along with the RRSP optimizer; and many other features of the program.
Would highly recommend this program!
