Best way to do your taxes
I have tried different software packages but found the TurboTax package the best value and the easiest to use. Very simple - you really can do your own taxes in the comfort of your home with this software.

Very Easy to Use
I found Turbo Tax to be extremely easy to use. It is very thorough in terms of guiding you through the various categories. Upon finishing, I had the sense that all the necessary information had been entered.

Excellent Package
The package provides two methods of preparing a return --"easy step" - which is a full guidance system; and the "forms" method - for advanced users. I use both methods. I use the "forms " to quickly enter the info. and then "easy step" to check that I have not missed anything and switch between the two to fine-tune the return if necessary.
It's an excellent package for both beginners and pros.

good but could be better
using this product was easy unless a mistake is made and you want to undo it. product not very helpful in removing mistakes but excellent at pointing them out. such as equivalent to spouse deductions - removal was difficult
product needs some more work on how people can actually remove errors, such if one is found then step user through process on removing it. or just do it when selected.

TurboTax
I have been using TurboTax since 1997 when it was known as Quicktax. I prepare all the tax returns for my immediate family and I openly recommend this to people that I work with and are friends. I find it quick and easy and the dual method of using either the EasyStep wizard or forms interface (and switching back and forth) makes this easy to use. I think I might have watched a tutorial once in all those years, but found it easy to walk through. It gets me through tax season so easy it makes me wonder why people use any other method or software.

Great for newbies
This is the second time I've done my own taxes and it was very easy. Last year I had a family member clarify questions for me, but this year I called the Tax Experts a few times and they were extremely, extremely helpful! Their advice and explanations were clear and concise, and didn't mind repeating themselves or explaining further - I'll admit I only had a fuzzy idea of what I was doing when I started! They were truly wonderful and helpful. I recommend this service to any young or inexperienced person - no judgement from the experts here! They're just happy you're trying it yourself, and are great especially with the "stupid" questions :) They then send you an email with resources relating to your phone conversation so you can refer back to it if needed - awesome. Thank you Tax Experts!

Excellent, Excellent Product
I had not filed my returns for 6 years (this was last year) and a friend had used Turbo Tax to file his return - said it was easy. So, last year I used Quick Tax and Turbo Tax to file my delinquent returns.
So easy using Turbo Tax.
Thank you Turbo Tax - I got that monkey off my back.
AND I got this years return 2011 filed on time.
Would highly recommend to everyone

turbo tax standard
I'm just under retirement age and was told that filing online was the way to do your taxes no more calculators pencils (erasers)incomprensible forms,etc a friend told me about turbo tax I was not sure but thought I'd give it a try If I didn't like it I could always go back to MY way of doing them. THANKYOU friend wow just answer the simple questions punch in some #'s follow the tutorial and file, even a computer semi-phobe like me can do it. great product, and I'm confident I got it right and the full refund I was entitled to can't imagine going back to doing it any other way
