Does the job
I used the 'dummy mode', whatever it's called and would have been more comfortable with direct access to information such as whom the provincial sales tax credit applies to and what the criteria are. I selected it and the form showed '$0.00) credit, so I assume that I didn't meet the criteria - but I don't know.

Update the help information
I've used your tax program since before it was called turbotax and it seems that every year the program is a little less friendly to work with. The program is less helpful, including 'help' function.
One example from this year is that I had to report a sale of primary residence. The terminology used in your worksheet (ie adjusted cost base; proceeds of disposition) is not user friendly to anyone who doesn't understand capital gains. And trying to figure out how to report ones portion of a marital home that was sold in the year after separation was impossible. (Also when checking CRA site.)
Anyway, having past experience with CRA and your program, it will still be the one that I use.

Very Good Purchase
The Good:
I've been using since 2011. Removes tedium and errors from entering personal info and T slips as they can be imported from previous return and CRA. Input questions are well laid out and ensure nothing is overlooked. Net filing is seamless.
The Not So Good:
Changing an input number does not always update on the form/schedule that is initially automatically filled in. Not all forms /schedules are properly filled out even though the result appears correct, you have to walk through the form to see if the result is correct. This problem has been present for the 12 years I've been using the program, one has to manually update the form. Foreign Pension Splitting does not automatically split the prorated Tax Credit and transfer it to the spouse. I was told it does so for Canadian source pension. There is no warning not to input interest if its already imported on a T5 as is done for other T source documents. I only picked it up because my tax changed and I saw that the amount was double counted. There should be a drill down on amounts on the summary pages where the source is more than one number, you need to go to the T1 form and work it out yourself.
All of these issues seem easily fixable which would then get you a 5 star rating.

Too many upsell ads
I have used Turbo Tax for many years and expect to use it next year too. There are too many upsell ads for audit defence, reviews etc. Also, I found the help not very useful, but overall is a very useful program and easy to use and accurate.

This is getting complicated
Turbo Tax has always been relatively easy to use, but as taxes get more complicated, so has Turbo Tax. Also, you need a field so I can write of the cost of Turbo tax for preparing my taxes.

It has some Shortcomings
The pension split optimization always comes out with a total tax payment higher than just splitting by 50%.
T3 & T5 entries allow splitting. However T5003 and investment expense sections do not but should to make things easier.
Importing T5008 slips do not populate number of shares sold if the number of fractional shares is more than 2 decimal points.

Designed to upsell services incrementally
The review was confusing and vague at times with very little assistance to resolving problems. Intent is to buy an online consult, while beneficial it felt I was directed to get this help because the review was not totally helpful. The person I spoke with was very knowledgeable and helpful where the review was not (AI was not very good) They are always trying to sell you additional services which would imply that they want you to not fully trust your data entry. My returns are complicated so they did not build the support into the software. For a person with a T4 and some child care expenses it would be a breeze in less than 1 hour from install to net filing for less than an in person preparer. I will continue to use them but need to have the current publication for the tax year at hand. I also file USA returns and TurboTax/Intuit are not satisfied with sale of software but intimidating you into buy services by using a poor AI algorithm. But it is still better than paying a Tax Accountant >=$750 to prepare both returns an still have to deal with the CRA/IRS.

Used Several Years
I have used Turbo Tax Standard for several years. It seems to calculate taxes quite well since CRA may only make minor adjustments some years. This year for the first time I tried using My Account to input info. Instead of reporting Capital Gains/Losses it incorrectly reported it as Investment Income. Is this a problem of CRA or the Turbo Tax package???

Diffculties
This year I tried to remove the farm forms with no success. When I went to print my records it wanted to print the other one even though I had gone back and selected the other name. I had to go another step further back then forward and it printed the correct form.

what I didn't like
When importing slips directly from the CRA my account website, not all slips downloaded to my return and had to be entered manually. Not a big deal but a bit annoying. Of course it could be a CRA Net File problem, not Turbo Tax's. Overall a great product and user friendly!

It's ok, but not as good as it used to be.
I was unable to, in the Northern Residence deduction, get the travel component to work. I requested assistance from "Help" but did not receive a response. I will now file the Return and then request a change, to allow the deduction, after Notice of Assessment is received. Annoying.

Taxes Made Easy
I use this software to complete rather uncomplicated tax filings for me and my family and it gets the job done right every year. Also WAY better than the online version. Avoid buying that at all costs and get the Standard edition that comes on CD-ROM.

Good until the very end
Filled out the simplified tax data format no problem, but at the end I had no end of problems finding my access code. Was given one from CRA that expired on Sept 30, and finally found a number to contact CRA directly. After a two-hour wait and a few questions, all was resolved. But no thanks to Intuit on that part.
