Missing MacOS version
Every year I go through the hassle of updating and running Parallels for MacOS *just* to file my taxes. It would be great if there was a native MacOS version of this software package, instead of having to deal with "Edge" and other Windows software.

Online version is better
I have been using the Deluxe Online version for the past 2 years. Picked up this CD/Download version by accident this year. If only I realized before opening the package.
I had trouble downloading (and really only desktop has a CD these days!).
With the online version, I was able to save each year and look back at what was previously done when I logged back in. This is not possible with this download version. I have to save/print a copy instead.

Mostly Fine
I have use the product for many years without incident but this year after filing a four returns, I had an issue with the last one. It wouldn't let me file. Still working with the tech people to get resolved.

Would be nice if ...
1 - TurboTax need to have the choice to apply a general split percentage to all the T5008 stocks in a Joint Investment Account.
2 - TurboTax should have the ability to calculate the split for T5008 to optimize the maximum returns as it could for the Income Splitting.

Some of the explanations are confusing. There doesn't seem to be any means to write several constructive comments directly to Intuit without opening an account with Survey Monkey - which I don't want to do!

Difficult to file Final return
Its a good product; however, very difficult to file returns after a spouse has passed away.
Would be very helpful if you could prepare both returns using one session, my and my spouse who passed away in 2023. Had to file one at a time. difficult to get numbers from one to other.

Makes doing taxes fairly easy
I like the turbotax layout. I had to use a different software for last year (2022) and very quickly realized how easy quicktax was/is to use. Prior to that I had used quicktax for 10 plus years.

Software functions as expected
This software works as expected.
The software prompts for additional services while using the software. I do not need to see the same add-ons offered at all. Showing them more than once is disappointing.

Easy, but could be easier
It has been reliable enough for years, but do not get it until later in the season - let others do the bug fixes so you do not need to. EasyForm tool is not as easy as it could be - should be done with the form beside it, so you can see what applies or not and later where to find it if you need to.

Gets it right
When linking to the CRA MyAccount, CRA returned the message "We've connected to CRA MyAccount and are ready to import data". Then I switched back to TurboTax and it presented the message "We got an error when trying to connect to the CRA". It didn't say what the problem was nor how to correct it. After spending a lot of time on it I fixed it by changing my default browser from Google Chrome to Microsoft Edge.

Great tool - poor desktop download
I've used Turbo Tax for years and always found it to be a reliable tool. Last couple of years though, my challenge with it is this: if you've bought an online license (e.g. Turbo Tax store front) and subsequently try to download to use on your desk top, there is no easy access or pathway to use for the download. You have to go fishing. I get it, you want everyone to use your web/cloud based filing tool. But please make it simpler for those wanting the desktop version to be able to download.

Editing Options
I have been buying this programs since 1993 when it was called Quick Tax before it was sold and renamed Turbo Tax. There has been improvements all along but this year (I also found out last year) something seems to be wrong. Editing the medical expenses is tedious, once done, the program does not update the changed information in the return, the date verification did not work properly and on line help has been inaccessible.

Better than nothing
Turbo Tax does have quirks and software mistakes, but it's better than doing it by hand. The list of errors before filing are inconsistent and not applicable, and some ask questions that have already been answered previously.

Great - but here's an annoying thing. The question about whether or not you sold your house during the year is repeated NUMEROUS times. Couldn't you just remember that for the entire session?
