User Friendly
Easy to use tax filing software. There was a glitch with uploading spouse's CRA info but fixed with manual input which took extra time, but still worked. Would give 5/5 if that issue was addressed.

Almost perfect
The software is well written, but it has a small defect: When I start a new return for this year it will not transfer the CCA information from last year. I have to enter it manually from last years return's data. It used to do it in previous years,but not any more. Kernie.

Works well but a few quirks
Been using Turbo Tax (and it's predecessor QuickTax) since 1997 and it's got a good track record. Makes it relatively easy to complete your return (much easier than a paper version, particularly when you need a make a small change due to a late T-slip, or to optimize things like medical expenses). Have never had Revenue Canada get back to me due to errors. That said, there are a few annoying quirks that don't ever seem to get fixed. When using the Easystep interview, the program sometimes spins it's wheels and a pop-up indicates that the processor is busy and I need to click "continue". Also, some entry panels do not seem to exactly match the corresponding T-slips. On some panels, you have to click a button to access some boxes, and then another to get back to the main boxes, meanwhile grinding away in the background. Why not just put them all on one panel, like on the T-slip? Very annoying!

long time user
I have been using turbotax for many years. there have been times when I found turbo tax difficult but for the most parts I was able to work through it. Live help was always good. I do not like self help or dealing with a robot. No reason to use Turbo Tax next year

Frustrating lack of compatibility
Of course it doesn't import information from the online version to the desktop version. That would encourage people to save money, lol. Otherwise, pretty helpful to file.

Very Good Product

TurboTax2023 Helps to File
While there are still a few areas that would need to be improved I found that using the present package covers the many details required to be entered as providing reasonable accuracy and confidence in this annual number intensive activity that is filing one's tax report. The optimizers are very useful tools.

Good, but CRA interface needs work
I use Turbotax every year without significant issues. This year, it was very difficult to connect with the CRA through Turbotax. I would login through my account to interface with the CRA, but when my spouse logged in, Turbotax would not properly logout and it would think my spouse is trying to connect to my account and crash. This happened several times, and we needed to fully save and close out of everything in order to make it work

I think that this is a good software, but the online and downloadable software need to be interchangeable. People shouldn't have to spend more money if they don't have a PC to download the software. Otherwise great service.

Its only been a year since we filed taxes but the 2023 version seems off - flow is disrupted, feels like you can't fill in as you get T-slips, receipts, etc and go back to verify - just seems clunky to navigate this year's version.

User Friendly Product
This product I have found to be exceptional for over 20 years that I have used it for my families returns every year. I have never encountered a problem or disagreement with the CRA. Printing Limit In 2020
With only 4 users on my 2020 Turbo Tax I somehow managed to reach my printing limit which I honestly never knew existed until this year.
Before submitting my Returns in 2023 that I completed and printed the day before I knew I could get a better Refund when I started my 2021 Tax Year. I corrected my 2020 Tax Year but was only able to print one Individual Form Return. When I went to print mine - I got the notice I was over and it would cost me $19.99! I was not happy to say the least. I did my Netfiling and amended my previous printed copy.
I have had more than 4 users on previous years and never run into this problem even when asked to print another copy.

Overall I've found the product fairly easy to use ...however a couple areas were ambiguous but defined through the Help function. I didn't like the fact that we had to pay for the assistance required ...as well were not clearly informed upfront re: the Basic or Standard Versions having to pay extra for the standard to Finish our returns properly.
