Excellent tool
I have used Turbo tax for years. It has worked great for me and my dependents. There are other tax software out there. I have not tried them in years. Now that I am familiar with Turbo Tax, I will continue using it as long as it works well and is priced well.

Pencil? Eraser? Calculator? What were those?
From it's earliest days under "Quick Tax", intuit began to threaten pencils, erasers, calculators and big thick piles of paper with extinction. The product for 2021 continues this march. Net-filing at the end was the smoothest and most streamlined ever. Only two areas disappointed: Even though last year's return was in the it's turbo-tax generated folder, this year's it did not offer to pull the standard personal information off it. Names Dates SINS, Addresses etc should not have to be re-entered by a verified returning client. The former feature was a perfect hook to keep us all re-buying instead of wandering. I hope it is brought back. Much more sadly, after T Tax successfully logged in to our CRA Accounts it failed to download and pre-enter ANY of the trove of T slips on hand. "Nothing Found" it whimpered. This wonderous feature I am sure was part of the pots and pan banging we heard out windows these last couple of years. With nonstop cyber attack probes the handshaking can't be easy but we hope intuit and CRA are able to make such valid use of digitalization more robust. As the thought of figuring out how to re-hold a pencil is even more daunting, will just have to buy it again next tax season, with fingers crossed!

Outdated fields
T1135 needs more lines for Item 7
T5008 should not required Income Type as by definition, all securities transactions are capital in nature, hence Capital Gain. Otherwise, it would be business gain and would not be reported on T5008. As a result of your system flaw, I had to manually select Capital Gain 154 times!!!

T5 confusing
I got a T5 dividend statement which I entered. On a later page it asked about dividend income so I entered it again and my refund dropped. I was not clear if i had to enter it the second time or it was picked up from the T5 slip info. Hopefully not taxed twice on it

A Lot Needed to Know
You have to know too much about taxes for it to be called easy. It doesn't pick up things from a previous year that it should -- i.e., Am I likely to change from English to French from last year to this?

Great program
The program is great but to download the program this year was awful. It took me a very long time. I followed the instructions on my card with the licence code but it kept telling me there was something wrong and I should try again. Finally I found a place with the instructions to solve the problem. Suggestion: Give the correct instructions on the card or you will be loosing many customers. I saw that when reading all the reviews.

2021 Taxes
I find turbotax to be quite easy to use. Unfortunately I owe money this year and that's what the Covid cash did for me, not turbotax's fault. I would like if turbotax would list my changes to my taxes so I can remember what I did last time I worked on it. Eg: Edit to Educ Prop Tax Credit.

QC/ON improvement needed
Living in Quebec with revenue from Ontario I find there are unclear references/help and lack of information on how to report, and the impacts of choosing alternatives. Examples include how to report multiple RL1's and RL2's from various sources, and how to quickly establish whether provincial programs (such as Solidarity) apply to me or not.

One problem
I did my tax return as a widower . However, the return showed an error message that I had not included my wifes date of birth. It did not have a place to insert that information.

Could use some improvements
For the last several years now I have not been able to see if my input for Language preference, Elections Canada option or Foreign Property actually has been entered. It's much easier to choose an option when you have to fix it later with a drop down. Why not just have a drop down in the form. Also there is no reason to print four pages when printing the Netfile confirmation number. I only need page 3 and the other pages are superfluous. It is a waste of ink and paper and not environmentally friendly.

Helps do taxes
TurboTax should stop sending me info on U.S. tax preparation. I am a Canadian and pay Canadian taxes. I have nothing to do with the U.S.

Not as good as other years
There were spots where it was not clear if I need to fill out the information if I'd put it in a T form. There was also a communal tick box for a T3 and there was no information what this was about. Other than that the program was easy to follow using easy steps.

needs better testing
every year I try to use whatever new feature is promoted, and every year it is the same thing. the new feature does not work properly, or at all. This year, being able to retrieve my data from CRA, my account.

CRA Netfile Confirmation form
I like to print out the CRA Netfile confirmation no. and found this year it exceeded one page when printed and that the second page was a waste of paper. So come on you guys, make the printing smaller or decrease the empty rows so it can fit on one page. Disappointed in this lack of detail.

Good, yet needs specific improvement
TurboTax is overall a good personal tax return software. I have used for many years. Only issue is the EasyStep question about signing up for CRA online mail. For those who already have done so in CRA MyAccount, then we must choose "No, I don't want to go paperless". That is very confusing! The final review steps are also very repetitve, and one has to click "Done with warnings" several times over. And the same warnings may appear again in a later step. Otherwise, thank you for a good product!
