First Time user
Since this is my first time doing my taxes and also using Turbo-tax, I am not too sure yet of any final results. Must wait for the Fed and Prov governments to review and reply with acceptance or changes to my final results (refund or owe).

Easy to use
Very easy to use. Just plug in the numbers and voila! Done. My return is not complicated. Just simple T4's. No investments or anything.

Good buy & Easy to Use
I have been using Turbo Tax for several years and I have never been disappointed with it. It is relatively easy to use and to navigate. The help feature is great. Recommend it.

easily followed
i had a problem understanding the answer to the climate question asking if i lived outside of the toronto area.No way to answer this question.It came up on my review and i still reviewed but could not answer!

Overall Great
Overall great experience. Wish I used it last year. Would have saved me a big hassle with CRA. My biggest complaint is the printing. There doesn't seem to be a print preview, so you don't know what will print. Prints A LOT of unnecessary pages.

More Awkward
I don't know exactly why, but doing the taxes this year was somewhat more painful. Part of the problem may be because my wife and I have both been retired for many years, and for some reason this year we had to pay double the normal taxes!!!!!

Friendly
CRA have improved security.
I didn't notice if Turbo Tax indicated a warning that to net file you must get into your last year assessment page and get the access code good for the next tax year. Without it, no netfile accepted.

Good, except for a couple things
This software is generally very good; much easier than trying to fill out the forms on one's own. However, it's been several years that the initial "download tax forms from the CRA" crashes/freezes TurboTax forcing me to close, restart, and retry. On average it takes 3 attempts; made worse because if either my or my spouse's download freezes, I have to redo both.
The place to enter medical expenses needs work as well; if Intuit at least had the date next to each line in the summary it would make things easier.
There also seemed to be fewer helps on each page compared to previous years.

Issues I ran into
On a couple of screens in the Provincial return I pressed F1 for help and only got a generic Help screen. Had to search for details. When filing was prompted to register for CRA eMail and Direct Deposit with no option for "I already have registered". Only option was to select No. Other than these issues it works very well.

Turbo Tax
With Turbo Tax basically all you need to do is add up your medical expenses, donations, and have all your Tax slips. Then they walk you through it. You can feel confident it is filed correctly.

Great but....
Good if you are an employee but forget it if you are self employed, I tried to do my daughter's tax form, she did a short stint at food delivery, It was frustrating, I won't get into the details but it was error city. hire an accountant instead.

Bit clumsy.
Overall, fairly easy to use and enter information. Review and correct functions were not clear and notices and warnings were redundant. Program kept warning about Principal Residence when we did not enter anything about our house we have lived in for over 20 years. Wasted time trying to clear something that was not entered incorrectly.

Let Turbo do the math
CRA makes life difficult. TurboTax does all the calculating and recalculating, has all the forms, allows different scenarios to be tested and has lots of online help, if you have the time. Well worth the small fee VS an accountant or pencil and paper.

Charitable Donations
There needs to be a better way to share charitable donations with your spouse.I always have to have my accountant son override items so our charitable donations can be shared. It makes a big difference on getting a bigger refund. Apparently other products, life UFile, allow for this option..

Use issue
I did the online version foe 2020. I bought the download at a retailer for 2021 and could not import my saved files, or TT didn't recognize I had saved files for carry over? Had to re-enter info by hand. Getting help for this was nearly impossible. otherwise great product.

Make filing a LOT easier
I do ALL of the Taxes for my family (Son, Parents, etc...). If I did not have Turbo TAX to do all of this, this family responsibility would be a considerably frustrating and stress inducing experience to say the least. Thank you TurboTAX and also the Government for allowing the bridge to make this process much more efficient and less error inducing. I will continue to use TurboTAX until that day we are completely in a digital automated world... Thanks again TurboTAX! I also appreciate the NON CLOUD based Quickbooks and Quicken... I do NOT like my general data on the CLOUD but prefer local storage transactions! TBN&L 2022

Medical and Charitable could be far better
The software is good overall, but the medical deductions and the charitable contributions (so-called wizards) are useless. If you have medical claims that are not simply aligned to the calendar year, it never, and I mean never, gets it right. I always have to force it to use the correct dates ending in the tax year being filed. This makes me cringe every year when I get to this spot because after putting in a lot of hours, it invariably screws it up and needs to be corrected.

Great way to get your taxes done

Still good tax programme after all these years
I like using the programme it is easy to use and understand. It pretty much does what it says on the box. There are always places that can be a bit confusing due to the tax code but I've always found Turbo Tax to provide the best information about any confusion. I've been a customer for many years and recommend Turbo Tax.

Trusted Tax Software
It's general reliable software to use for preparing tax returns. I have been using it for over 10 years. There is noticeably a technical issue this year for importing CRA tax info from multiple accounts within a short time frame such as an hour. Also, I personally would like to see a simpler way to change the type to "Capital Gain" for multiple T5008 slips which for many could be in the tens or even hundreds of them.
