Turbo Tax Is OK
I found the Standard tax a bit confusing at times (maybe my fault) but entering same info, starting again came up with different outcome.
Paying for a review, scheduling a callback, recieving a call from a so-called auditor was a total waste of money. Answer I got was basically "Looks OK!"

Always Hang-ups It Seems
We had trouble downloading from the disc after purchasing the TurboTax Standard version. We ended up having to call the Help Line and were definitely impressed with the kind and gentle assistance we needed and received to carry on; the whole thing a little frustrating and time consuming... in the end, all good. Thank you.

Navigating Thru Turbo Tax
Going back and forth not as easy as I expected but not that computer savvy. Printing some pages where I just wanted 1 page and getting 4 pages instead where 3 had 1 line on them...a waste of paper. Could not figure out how to get the page I wanted.

Help Files Must be Revised
Turbo Tax was implemented for use by ordinary people who are not necessarily accountants or know all the tax laws. With that in mind, when I was using the help files related to a specific step (while using Easy Steps), I could not find any examples covering special scenarios. For instance, when I had two T2202 slips and two Releve 8 slips, related to Tuition Fees paid at two different Post Secondary institutions, your help file does not indicate that they must be entered separately and not their SUM as one item. In addition, for Book Expenses, your help files do not include any information about Quebec Province and hence I was not sure what is the status of QC in regards to School Book Expenses.
My suggestion would be to have someone go through all the steps, open the help file for each step and compare the written information against the updated information and correct them as needed.

Fairly Easy to Use
I found Turbo Tax to be fairly easy to use. The package walked me through the different points of our tax returns. I wasn't really sure about the pension income splitting provision and I'm hoping that I did it correctly. When I print it out, it would be better if pages that don't related to our tax returns doesn't print. I did click that some pages not print but I see that quite a few schedule pages still printed. Other than that it's a good package to use.

Worked very well this year.
It would be very helpful for me, if TT Program gave me the ability to print any page on screen at any time I wanted. Otherwise it appears that the bugs have been worked out because my return was A OKay first time.

Fast and easy
Turbo Tax is a fast and easy way to prepare your Federal taxes, even when your tax situation contains some complexities. Unfortunately they don't have a Mac version for download, which is a major disappointment.

I have been using Turbotax for approx 20 plus years. I have been a retired CA for 15 years. While Turbotax is basically good it could do with an overhaul. There are too many unnecessary pages being printed and produced. There are duplicate questions (for example statement of investment income when investment income has already been recorded via tax slips). On my son's tax return there was a 10 page blank business schedule for casual income that he has not had for 5 years but the program still carries the forms forward!!

I purchased this in 2018 and have 7 years to do my taxes. Every year its the same thing. Look for updates, none to update, never shows the next year to file. Pain in the lower extremities'.

No for people that don't have tax experience
The program doesn't always inform you of what you can do. For instance medical claims may allow for travel expenses at the prescribed level, meals etc. The tax refund for doing husband's and wife's is the net of the two, so one may owe and the other may get a refund. This could lead to an unpleasant payment is you were assuming that no payment would be required.
All that being said, it is still much easier than doing the returns manually. I have done it both ways but now only do Turbo Tax.

i tried to open 2020 copy of turbo tax and i had to re-enter my security code. I filed my taxes from turbotax so obviously i purchased your software. I wanted to talk to someone about the code and it was impossible. The bot was useless. I read other complaint that you sell software but really offer zero support.

Mostly works
I have used TurboTax for as long as I can remember. It is usually easy to use. I like how it carries forward my information and my Capital Losses from the prior year. I prefer to use the forms method, but sometimes it is a struggle to enter info. This year I could not get the software to accept my previously paid installments, but I simply adjusted the amount I paid to CRA.

There are a few things that I would like to see added/changed
1) t5013 does not allow a % between spouse like other investment forms.
2) there is no worksheet or report you can print of T slip entries to check them (you must go to each individual entry form to check them). This report would be nice to have. There are various other places where the numbers are hidden and you can't how the totals are created. again various worksheets/reports would be helpful.
3) I don't know why it is so slow entering t5013 slips (long pause when done)

I have used Turbotax for many years. Last year I used the online version for the first time but I did not like the lack of access to the actual forms format. This year I went back to the downloaded version but was unable to carry over information from the online version which was a hassle.
