overall well done
Overall, this software does what is required, and for my and my wife's eFiled returns all appeared correct. However, some small things I noticed when filling out a tax return for my mother, who passed in 2022. I filled in her email address and the date of her passing and when I go back to check both are there on the screen.
Yet nether one prints on the tax form. This is not a big deal, but it's a good thing I proofread the printed return. I believe this is a mistake that needs to be corrected.

1. You need to provide a way to contact a person easier for product issues. No phone # or email is easily accessible. Only community board
2. Products causes issues with VPNs. You need to change the ports you use to more standard ones or at least publish the ports used in the update process at product launch

easy to use
it was very easy to use but when an error occurred at the end, it would not allow us to correct it until the error came up i the e-filing portion, then we were redirected to the way to fix the problem.

Very useful to determine optimal income splitting
We use this mostly to determine the optimal amount for income splitting our investment income. I could use an improvement in carrying over Capital Losses from previous years.

Product is decent. Knowing some theory about doing taxes is beneficial to use this program. A condensed version of what has been populated on the return would make the review much easier.

User friendly
This is the second year that we use Turbotax and I find it very user friendly. I tried a .Genu free tax form from CRA and it did not even have a place/section to choose "Split Pension"

Suggestions
I am always using the "Form" method - and have done so for decades. The major hurdles are that i can't easily go back and forth between my husband's and my return, especially when trying to use Pension-Splitting to see if it is worthwhile. Either allow for 2 returns being open at the same time or at least let me use Snag-It to make copies.

Generally works well but T5013 information is not processed, T5008 can be doubled up is type code is entered after your return is completed but before it is filed.

Auto downloads
Last year I was able to download my Tax slips directly into Turbo Tax. I could not find that ability this year. Made for a lot of extra work.

consistent from year to year
Navigation is consistent from year to year, which is great if you are a repeat user like me. it does take a while to become proficient and competent. there are some wrinkles (not TurboTax's fault; just how things work), which I have actually documented for myself, and review in detail each year as I prepare my tax returns.

Very useful tax tool
I have used Turbotax successfully for the last 6 years. It is very easy to use and does all of the difficult calculations for you. I especially like the pension splitting optimizer.

Okay, but not as good as previous years
When I used Turbo Tax 2021 I had more problems answering the walk thru questions and finding the right place to enter some of my expenses. The option to upload the T4s etc didn't work as well as it did last year, I had difficulty signing onto my CRA accout through Turbo Tax which worked very well last tax year.

traps are inherent in confusing terminology.

FAITHFUL CUSTOMER
I HAVE LOTS OF EXPERIENCE DOING TAX RETURNS SO PREFER TO ONLY USE THE FORMS METHOD. THIS IS EASY TO DO AND NETFILE IS ALSO EASY.

Good except for minor omission
Worked well as usual with not problems to file on line. Only minor omission is a link to the ability to transfer one's refund from Quebec to one's spouse. The forms are there but the option was not highlighted. Otherwise all went well as usual. A 10 year + user.

Good But very wastefull
I completed the taxes without too much difficulty, however after e-filing my return, I printed the confirmation number........ 4 PAGES TO PRINT A SIMPLE NUMBER ! ! ! Come on Intuit ! Quit wasting your customers paper and ink on garbage. Disgusted

overall a good product
Turbo Tax could be easier to use. For example, you have to jump back and forth between spouse, which just makes more room for error or omission.
Some of the categories (e.g. other income, and certain deductions) are difficult to find, and it can be difficult trying to make changes or edits.
It would be nice if they would let you print just the one page summary, rather than the whole myriad of forms, which takes a lot of time, paper and ink.

The screen entry may be intuitive to the developers but not to the layman. Suggest there needs to be a live chat mechanism to avoid the frustration of trying to figure a simple item out like how to enter the data for number of days worked from home during COVID

Add T776 "COPY/PASTE" feature

WASTING a lot of time filling SEVEN DUPLICATED T776 forms for me and my wife's return having 50/50 split ownership.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years now, and it makes it fairly easy to organize and submit the annual taxes for me and my family. The carryforward balances help to keep track of some things, and I like the summary of things like RRSP contribution limits for the next year and year over year comparisons.

Helpful program
