My rating is based on the CD version after first buying the troublesome online version. The CD version we bought worked well but we first made the mistake of buying the online version and its instructions and the need to scratch the secret enabling code was lost to me and about 4 Intuit advisors I contacted to get it going. Wasted more time trying to get it to work than it took to finally do my taxes with the CD version we finally had to also buy to get things working. Had to buy two turbotax packages in the end. Will be paying a professional guy from now on.

One Disappointment
I read in the Intuit webpages that there would be a discount code or a special offer for long time Intuit customers to arrive by email toward the purchase of this year's software. Nothing came, so clearly there was no advantage to being a loyal customer.

Forced to Win10
I have used Turbotax and it's previous version for decades and have always found it excellent. Unfortunately they have forced me to upgrade a computer to Windows 10 when Wndows 7 still works perfectly.
I did notice this year that the help was not as good as previous years.

Good purchase
Navigating back to the original forms for filling in T slips is impossible. You get a different version. I want to see what I filled in if I have to go back. As it was, I believed I'd filled in tax deductions and saved; yet at the end it became apparent the numbers were not there.

Lacking organization
Your help section seems to have disappeared. Navigating the forms is not easy for me after several years of using it and I have been doing tax returns for others for over 40 years.

Use it every year
Buy it early and start earlier. Be organized with income and expense documents. That will make it a breeze.
I'm 81 and well retired.

CD Install problem
Turbo tax CD would not install on my laptop, after multiple tries. First time this has happened in 5 years I have been using Turbo Tax CDs. We used another computer to install the CD. Next year I may forgo buying the CD and buy on line instead.

2nd year user - will use again
Not an accountant, and have basic taxe knowledge. Although i would like a couple more help buttons in certain questions, i made it through our family taxes with Turbo taxes for the 2nd year. I made one call for support this year, and was a bit late too, call was helpful and friendly. I'm overall happy with the program, will use again next year.

Good Product
The only trouble so far I have with Turbo Tax is that it went out of response, while waiting for a feedback from CRA.
So I had to close and restart TurboTax. But since it saves most of the information, it is easy to recover.
It would be good to have an option, to cancel waiting or something similar.

Challenging for couples
I wish it was easier to do combined taxes for common law couple. You make it very difficult having to go back and forth to fill information that TurboTax should recognize is already there.

GOOD PURCASE
NO PHONE SERVICE FOR HELP.

Good Software with a few quirks
Been using for a few years now. Still as Clunky as every to get around and does not like multiple screens. But does get the job done reasonably quickly and well calculated.

My main complaint is the USD slips are not converted buy the software.
Also if Down loaded from CRA site T5008 are not fully filled out

I have had a lot of trouble this year with Turbo Tax. The installation was a nightmare - I had to get one of your support technicians to help me with it - she was very helpful (and patient) but it took her one hour and twenty minutes to get the program installed.

Some Good. Some Bad
For simple income tax it works OK. The Autofill from crooked CRA has errors in some numbers, in CRA's favour of course. Watch this very closely or you will get hosed by these bandits.
I wish I could print off and review paper copies during the process, instead of having to wait for the end.
I prefer CD copy of software instead of online download. I have had computer failures, several hard drive failures, which make it a pain in the rear if you do not have disc.
The help file never seems to have any useful information. You find a lot more with a Google search. How do you use Auto-Fill? There is no information at all in the help file. Since CRA is too cheap to print paper guides any more, you really need a good help file. CRA website is completely useless and they make it impossible to ever contact them.

While the program generally does a good job, I was dissatisfied with TurboTax's "too bad" response when upon adding a second license it double counted one of the of joint returns over $25K that was prepared so in effect I could only prepare 7 returns over $25K instead of 8 as guaranteed with the second license. I found this quite unacceptable that they did not offer a solution or remedy.

First time user
Takes less time than doing the math manually, but a few steps are neither clearly explained nor intuitive. I did those steps manually, and figured out the quirks, so that next time will be much easier. The pop-ups for up-selling are a bit of an irritant. However, at the end of the day. many tips and cautions were useful and it saved time, overall. Will likely use it again.

T5013 form
Turbo tax T5013 entry form can be made simple by having all columns in a numerical order as oppose to distributed over few forms. Also not clear on the logic of the groupings.
