Good Tax solution.
Used this software for years, Each year it seems to improve especially the filing function this year. Well integrated with the CRA website. Regret this may be the last time I use TurboTax unless they make a Mac Operating System version.

Need to give more

Some data entry is far too tedious
I have used this product for over 10 years and complained about the data entry issue every year. Nothing has changed.
Other than that issue, Turbo Tax works well for me.

Saving questions are confusing and annoying
TurboTax has been my go to for years, and for all of those years the saving engine has distressed me. Every time I load a form, it says that it has changed and do I want to save on exit, even when NOTHING has changed. Beware of this. You can't trust the software to tell you accurately if there has been a change. What a pity.

A Turbotax Convert
It's my first time using Turbotax after a couple of friends recommended it. I was a bit apprehensive at first but the journey was a valuable one.
It's the second time I did my own taxes after doing it manually last year. I spent much of my time learning about the Turbotax software. The technicians I phoned for help were efficient and knowledgeable. I think they ought to take half of the credit to make my experience much easier in completing my taxes. Unlike doing my taxes manually, Turbotax asked me questions and I provided the answers. With the information I provided, the computer auto-filled the CRA forms which saved me a great deal of time.
Now that my taxes are done, like those who recommended Turbotax to me, I, too, would recommend it to some of my other friends.

Used it for years
The forms option is faster for my purposes than drilling down thru the Easy Step Method. The good news is that it works pretty much the same way every year, not like some other program updates.
'Help' could be more explicit and possibly have a link to the actual related CRA tax clause.

Good product, easy to use. Has at least one minor bug. When trying to input medical, after entering the first item had a problem entering the second. Had to use the back arrow and come back in. This is the second return this happened with.

Easy and Time Saver
I have used Turbo Tax (Intuit) for several years. I have never run into a single tax error nor any Net File issues from this application. By carrying personal information and tax details forward each year it makes it very easy to enter current year info and completing the return quickly.
Simply put - an excellent product, reasonably priced, and easy to use. If I could see a summary comparison from last year to this year's return I would easily give this a 5 star rating.

not improving
The software does not calculate the marginal tax rate correctly. The actual marginal rate is significantly higher than that shown on the tax summary side window.
Why does the part #3 of Schedule 3 no longer show the headings like it did last year: "proceeds of disposition", "Adjusted Cost Base" and "gain or loss". It now only shows column headings (1), (2) and (3) etc.
Are we supposed to guess which number is for which heading?

Turbo tax
I have used Turbo Tax and its predecessor for many years now. It spares me the necessity of having to do manual calculations every time I make a change. With the increased complexity of Tax returns, a computer program is a requirement to complete them and Turbo Tax is most helpful. I do have a number of charitable donations, so a reference to the charitable returns on the left-hand side menu would make accessing the receipt area more convenient for adding additional receipts. The Turbo Tax program does have a bit of a learning curve, but stay with it and you will find everything you need to complete your tax return.

Best one I used so far

Great software with annoying problems
This software is easy to use, but has a few frustrating issues (some of which were not corrected from last year). 1) at one point it directs you to save your return into a folder that has restricted access where it cannot be saved in 2) it tells you to save your return a number of times in different places in the program which is confusing and 3) it tries to get you to sign up with the CRA My Account (and goes through a number of screens) without asking if you're already signed up and using it for Direct Deposit, (instead it wastes your time). Also, in the survey after or online there is no place to type and send them these types of comments. Oh, and this form wouldn't even accept my nickname correctly on the first few tries.

I know this is a national program and all things have to be covered. There is a lot not needed. Last year I went to print and ran out of paper and had to start at the beginning. It does no say how many pages and I cannot select certain pages. Why? I said no to print blank pages, it printed them all. I hope this year will be different. On Life Changes below I cannot delete what is there. Why??
