returned to standard
I have used turbo tax since 2012 last year I went to Premier this year I went back to standard. I didn't see any advantage . Govt has all the info and I find that they correct things anyway

Time Saver BUT Edge Warning
TT20 did a good job of getting info from previous years (having used TT for 4 years now) and from CRA. I cut my time down from 2 days last year to 1 day this year.
A word of waring for MS Edge users: you may have to clear your browser cache if you do a spousal return! I found the browser was trying to re-log me in as the first entity when I went to gather records for the second. (which asks one to set up as an agent for person 2). Clearing the last 24 hours cookies and history got around this. Also, as ever, SAVE FREQUENTLY. I experienced three issues: one crash, and two places where the app locked - later both to do with my MS Edge/CRA issue.

Couple Little Issues
Program is easy to use. However the link button to purchase Assist and Review Option does not work in my CD Version.
There is no phone # to speak with anyone about this and Community help board specific detail steps to use for CD Version when followed does not bring up the Cart and purchase option screens. Turning off pop blockers did not help, and looking for other windows that opened found none. Thus I was left hanging and not able to purchase this option to assist me and get the confidence that I was looking for in knowing my return was correct. NOW I'm left in a STRESSFUL mode for how long anticipating a rejection/penalties from CRA.
Have used the product for many years, however this is the first year that I have used the joint file and I am not confident that things are correct even though we have gone through from start to finish 3 times and triple checked all entries and information. Return just seems out of line with previous yrs, was expecting to pay and program says getting enormous return over past yrs has me worried and stressed out.

Use TurboTax every year
I've used Turbo Tax for as many years as its been on the market. Always easy, simple and fast.
Would be better if in "help" or "tips" sections, they could provide an example or better description. ie. I looked up the expansion of the term 'social assistance' - it was not helpful

Program
in 2019 they did not send a CD but in 2020 they did. With less computers having CD drives they should send out the program on a jump drive. I have been using this program for many years and love it.

Sole Proprietor - Expanded Information
I struggled with the aspect as to where to report income tax and CPP submissions as a sole proprietor. Miscommunications with CRA had led to creation of a Payroll account, which was apparently inappropriate given my circumstances. Question of aT4 vs. T2125 led to this discovery. This clearly needs to be expanded on from TurboTax/Intuit in collaboration with CRA for other independent contractors who establish a sole proprietor business.

Mostly Good
I have used this for a few years now. Like it very much. Only thing was that this year, we, (my wife) missed out on some deductions for income tax deducted, so we had to go to the "Forms" portion and put them in manually. (I don't know if this was my mistake or not).

Great Product
I have been using this product for many years. It is easy to navigate and gives lots of helpful hints in the review. Much easier to Net File than previous years. Does not take me long to do both my husband and my returns. Price is reasonable and especially when you do not need an accountant which would cost a lot more. The only issue I have is that it is difficult to share donations between spouses. You have to override as the program wants you to have donations put on one person. This is a challenge as the program does not allow you to Net File with overrides. My son always has to do some adjusting to allow for sharing donations between my spouse and still allow for me to Net File.It would be nice if there was some way to easily share donations between spouses to get the best tax savings. Otherwise a great product.

Purchase issue
Why can't previous year's software take you to a direct link to repurchase next year's version of same software? Web site is NOT friendly when simply trying to purchase download for Standard - i.e. too many variations to get where needed to go. I would have just bought the disk again but that didn't work last year either!

Slow Updates
Expecting a refund, I had my return ready to Netfile by early March, but kept getting the message that government forms were not finalized and TT needed to be updated, which I tried to do several times. This also prevented my return from being Netfile eligible. I re-entered my return data several times trying to find my Netfile "error", to no avail. A TT update finally came out March 22, which solved both problems. TT wasted a lot of my time making me think I had a data problem.

Mostly very easy
For the T5008 slips, the programs asks if the amounts are a capital gain or an investment. this is not defined on the T-slip downloaded from CRA. However the fact that amounts are shown for boxes 20 and 21 indicates that this is related to a capital gain. Thus the program could fill in this item without my involvement, thus avoiding my having to edit every one of the downloaded T5008 slips. I hope this can be done for next year's version. Thank you
