Good As Usual But ...
A great tool but there's one issue. Even though I have answered "no" to questions about applying for certain provincial credits (PEI), I still get told at several points that I applied for those credits. This is a problem that goes back to at least 2010. I can't believe I'm the only one who finds this glitch to be annoying and I hope something can be done about it for next year.

LOVE CRA IMPORT

Easy to use and follow
I have worked with other tax software before, and found Turbo Tax to be even easier to understand, follow, and interpret the info needed to complete the returns that I am doing. I started with the simplest return that I will be doing, and am now looking forward to continuing on with the more complicated returns.

Printing Return
Software does not print return correctly. Lines not filled in and balance not correct. It is correct when printing individual forms but when printing full return it is incorrect,

Standard
The review and filing process are very simple, easier than earlier versions. It would be nice to have a version where only two or three returns were able to be done, that would make the cost less. The cost is a stumbling point for me every year, it a retired person thing.

Can be quirky
Good product overall, but there are some annoying quirks. For example, after running review and saving the changes, closing the return results in another "do you want to save your changes" prompt. Why??? I was disappointed that T7777 (home office expenses) wasn't included as a reminder. I almost forgot it.

Passwords
It would be nice if there was an option for recovering your password on the personal tax file. Mine did not work to bring forward my info from last year. I had my password written down but I obviously made an error somewhere resulting in having to start new returns.

Product getting more difficult to use
The product itself is just as good as ever. What I found frustrating this year was two things. One was loading the software. In years past, it was a simple matter of putting in the CD and it loaded itself. This year required a phone call to the help line and speaking with a person who could barely speak English. Not a good thing when you are marketing your product in Canada. Secondly, printing was a major pain. The program told me that I had used up all my returns when in fact I hadn't printed any. Finally figured it out myself. Wasn't going to try the non-english speaking help line again.

Usefull software
Fairly easy to use, though I found the "interview" method a bit cumbersom and soon switched to the "Forms" entry method.
One irritation I have with Turbotax is the insistance on saving changes when all I've done is open a return for reference purposes and have made no changes at all

Simple enough using easy step but some of the questions are misleading, e.g. "did you sell stocks in the past year?" Sure I did but they were in my TFSA or RIF - so a yes answer becomes redundant yet leads to other questions. Also, when attempting to net file this year was greeted with a blank page for several tries. Short tem bug I'm guessing.

THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE SOFTWARE.!!!! YOU HAVE A DEFAULT DATE RANGE FOR THE MEDICAL TIME FRAME AND IT CANNOT BE CHANGED, EVERYTIME THAT I PUT THE CORRECT RANGE IN, WHEN I COME BACK TO THAT PART OF THE PROGRAM THE DEFAULT IS BACK AGAIN. MOST UNSATISFACTORY.

One small glitch
Spent two hours one day with a Turbo Tax representative trying to figure out why my return would not Netfile. I kept getting TT600 error codes. If so, that means you have put some form of punctuation where it should not go (so we found). We even went as far as downloading a new version until we discovered I had abbreviated the word "Incorporated". That is something that Turbo Tax needs to fix so that the program points out the error at that point. Otherwise, I love using Turbo Tax as it is so user friendly. Used it for years with no problem at all.

I like the inuit personal tax product and have been using it for over 10 years. one complaint is that the medical items do not have a repeat function - I have to input the same drug store or doctor or claimant each time, which is a pain.

Line Numbers
Great program, I have used Turbo Tax for many years. My only beef/suggestion is that the Turbo Tax line numbers do not align with Revenue Canada's line numbers. When comparing my assessment with my Turbo Tax or when speaking with Revenue Canada about a particular entry, the line numbers are not the same. It's very confusing after the the fact of efiling your return.

Works OK
The program seems to work well. I have used it for many years with no problem. Accessing your account with Intuit can be tricky as the web site is not user friendly. Overall a good product.

Better Than Last Year
It seems that this version of TurboTax runs better than last year with less problems related to the actual software. Things went really smoothly this year, without the problems of last year. its a pleasure to use, if you can get pleasure doing income taxes!
