Excellent value and easy to use
Fantastic experience as usual. Taxes are not fun for me, but using Turbo Tax gives me confidence preparing my returns. They have not let me down over the past 7 years. Keep up the good work !

Clumbsier Than Previous
The Easy Steps information would not return to where I finished making entries. When I clicked on Resume after stopping for a bit, the screen kept coming back to T1General Forms. Had to find place in Window. Frustrating

Some glitches this year
This year Turbotax did the job again, but it did fail and lockup a few times which has never happened to me in the past. A couple of times I got "Turbotax not responding" and had to end the job. In one case I lost the changes I had done and had to re-enter them. I was saving quite often to ensure that I didn't lose any updates.

Use with caution
Sometimes the 'help' tool did not work. Although the PRINT instruction was to print only the main section I got the 40 page version with all lists.

Excess printing
This program is really good... a few questions that the regular person is unsure whether to answer yes or no to... but my main issue is that when you go to print your copy to keep for your records, it prints up 46 pages of forms that you didn't even use! Not environmentally friendly to the trees! My return was not that detailed.

Still a solid choice
I've been using Turbotax/Quicktax since 1998 and still find it a reliable and reasonably simple program to use. I can't comment on the support because I always find myself preparing my return at odd hours or after the support has run out but the step by step instructions and built in "helps" keep the confusion to a minimum.
I did miss the instructions on how to assemble the paperwork when you mail instead of file on line. Maybe I just didn't follow the correct line.

not so intuitive anymore
Still a good option, but every year they Intuit seems to make descriptions more vague. It seems like a push to pay more money for support. I have used this program for I believe the last 10 years or better, but find myself wondering if I should try another next year. This year's program seemed a little glitchier than any of the previous ones as well

Good but still a few problems
The carry forward moving expenses page is still messed up. Title says carried forward but lines on it include current years moving expense lines also. Only problem I found but they need to fix this.

Unhappy
Have used turbo tax for years with good success. I buy standard package allows me eight returns. This year needed nine with income over 25000. I bought original turbo tax for 34.95 It cost me 19.95 to buy extra program to do one return. Being as I had program and only needed licence to do one return I feel cheated. the first eight didnt cost 20.00 each.

Straightforward for easy tax situations
We've used Turbotax for many years. We have employment income, some mutual fund investments (T3 and T5 forms), kids, medical expenses, and a self-employment business. Turbotax Standard is sufficient to handle all of these every year. Quite user-friendly with the EasyStep and the wizards which help you optimize deductions.

Improved from previous years
Several glitches have been fixed; some verification controls have been added at the end of the filing. For some reason this year I didn't see a prompt asking me to automatically import my info from last year's return, however, but with the Help feature I was easily able to find out how.

Not as good as previous years
Wish you could have multiple ones open at the same time. Say you have an expense that you want to switch back and forth between spouses to see what the tax savings might be.

I have used TurboTax for several years. It is very easy an intuitive to complete your taxes. My only complaint this year is that one of the returns had foreign employment income. TurboTax did not provide spot to indicate foreign tax pad, had to go to forms and input.

1st Time with Issues
Used this software for many years. Very frustrating this year. An error with new income stream and the software was giving me false errors and would not allow NETFILE of my return. Did a detailed review of mine and my spouse's and found the error and in the process increased my return by $800.

Good Product - I Have Used It For 13 Years
Turbo Tax is a good product that saves lots of time. It is useful for doing "What If Analysis" and has build-in Optimum functions. I have used it for 13 years and it keeps getting better. I hope they will change the Home Accessibility Expenses entry so that it does not have to be entered twice, once for Federal & again for Provincial deductions - lots of duplicate typing req'd. Also allow more characters for those fields that are larger than the limited 26 chars entry - eg. Supplier Name & Description.
