Easy to use
I have used TurboTax Standard for several years now. I really prefer the installed version versus the online one as I can open and work on it at any time even without internet. It is easy for even beginners to use but not so easy that experienced people like myself find it tedious.

Issues with Turbo tax
Autodownload for Interest income T5, and for Charitable donations on T4A form didn't appear to show up on Easy method, I think
had to input them manually

There are still issues with T1135
The T1135 Part B where I have to fill out at least one full line rule is preventing me to NETFILE T1135 in so far as Category 6 is concern. I did NOT dispose of the property so there was NO gain/loss. However, I cannot input "n/a" nor can I input "$0" in the the gain/loss box. As such, the software thinks I have an error! And I cannot NETFILE it!

It is worth purchasing if more than one return
I have been using Turbo tax for years. However, when they say you can have it free, not true for me. I like to use the standard one that you can do 8 returns, however, this year, I could not purchase on line, as it was not available, could not find it, it was very frustrating. I had to purchase in the store which was not what I wanted to do. A bit difficult to understand sometimes how to register and all, not too friendly like they say for the ones that do not have too much computer technology. Always seems to want to make you buy the more expensive package.

My Comments
Overall a good product, but I find the frequent attempts at upsell to be very annoying, especially based on the reasons given ("sold an automobile"? - give me a break.)
Also, being asked to complete a Schedule 4 for Investment Income, after that income has already been included in the T5 income section, is confusing.

No Windows 7 Support
Bought TurboTax and was not able to use it on my computer. Very tiny print on front of box stated only Windows 8/Windows 10 compatible. This should have been communicated better to repeat customers, have been using Quicktax/TurboTax for years as I get many other communications via email. Or put in font on box that you can actually read. Medical Expense optimization panel is hard to understand.

Great except ...
Generally great product, except I find the tips/cautions/warnings at the end-review often address areas that, in the initial question-answer sections, I have indicated don't apply to me; or that sometimes I have already used and applied, such as the pension-splitting optimizer.

I quibble...
A fantastic product, saving time and giving peace of mind. One minor exception:
Tracing dividend income is a nuisance. The TSchedules don't split out the paid amount, the grossed up amount, and the Dividend Tax Credit - you'll need a calculator/ spreadsheet to hand to do it. To be fair, that won't affect a good chunk of the users. Nonetheless, would be nice to see that breakdown in TT 2020.

The program is double checking you optimized such things as medical receipts & pension income splitting. Though we had optimized but it sent us back to review - this part I didn't understand but am hoping we have optimized as best we can with turbo.

Product Improvement Suggestion
Wish you could make Turbo Tax Canada Talk to Turbo Tax USA for cross border commuters. I see a huge void in this area. You have an American version of Turbo tax (SprinTax) that will allow filing of a Non resident form however nothing that is made to work in conjunction with one another, similar to doing a married (for tax purposes) couple return.

Easy to Use
Been using Turbo Tax for years...simply and to the point as it walks you right right through each section one by one, based on what you selected at the beginning. I will say though, there is a lot of warnings it brings up that doesn't pertain to me at all, so that's confusing.

Change of 2019
I am a long time user of Turbo Tax. However, I found the 2019 format changes are not that good. Even I have higher income than my spouse, I selected to claim donation deduction and medical expense under my return. Unfortunately, Turbo Tax always changes my elections to the lower income (my spouse's) return. It is very annoying. I need to watch these like a hawk. Besides, comparing with previous years, I cannot switch between "Forms" and "One Step" as easy in 2019 version.

If I already said, "No" to sale of principal residence, why does it get flagged during review?
