continues to be good but don't like the giant text
I have used TurboTax for years (QuickTax before). it's comprehensive and generally good to use, however i don't like the giant text and graphics in the newer guided easy-step method. it seems to take an eternity to answer the myriad questions - i may try going back to the forms method.

Well worth it
I find that the software is very good on most points. Sometimes it can be hard to negotiate the search function because the user might not know the correct terms to use, but on the main this product is well worth the money.

Trouble at the end...
Everything went fine, as usual, except at the very end. The program wanted to connect with CRA again to upload the latest information. However, CRA wouldn't let it, so I had to wait several minutes for TurboTax to time out before I could continue with the program.

Needs Improvement for T1135
Good coverage of forms. And Netfile is a plus.
Now for the BAD!
Form T1135 is very poorly designed.In the Part B, section 7 it allows only 3 entries, while I required 5 entries. I checked and the online version allows for lots of entries. The downloaded CRA T1135 allows for lots of entries in all fields. Helpdesk suggested that I print multiple copies and the mail them in. kind of kills the value of NETFILE. Much better to use CRA version and only print 1 copy.

Beware the Medical Expense Optimizer!
The medical expense optimizer assigned the expenses to my wife, although that resulted in significantly higher taxes owing. As I reviewed and corrected them repeatedly, it persisted in re-assigning them back to my wife -- beware!

easy and amazing
turbo is very easy to file your tax no need to be accountant to do it, you only need all your papers. i have used turbo tax or past 6 years and will continue. just amazing

review questions
I have used this software for a few years-first time I'm asked to correct errors for checkboxes I answered initially. A very easy to use product-some links do not work such as industry codes-and I was asked twice if I sold my home even after clicking I did not move. I still recommend it though.

Good Programme
I congratulate TurboTax on production of an even user-friendlier, simplified version of this software. I am always surprised at how little time it takes, even when I am using the programme for someone who has a whole bunch of complicated numbers to fill in.

Almost Great!
Really easy to use overall ...except trying to find the Home Buyer's Plan item. I had to drop to the forms method to locate my contribution amount.
Further, Turbotax crashed when attempting to load on of our NOAs. I forgot to sign out of the previous CRA account and Turbotax became non-responsive. A Cancel button in Turbotax would have saved a lot of stress as we though we'd lost out Tax Return!!!

fairly easy to use

Not as intiutive this year
I have been using Quicktax/Turbotax for many years now, but this year, I found it to be less intuitive that previous years. I had to search for a number of things which were hard to find, and the EasyStep didn't take me to a couple of items that I thought it should have.

Good for basic self employ and investments
I have used Turbo tax for over 10 years. I find it pretty good for most things including simple professional income and basic investments. My only issue is when you have boxes on investment T slips with info and the software doesn't allow you to enter those boxes.

I wish Turbo tax would place the " update
info from a prior year year" in the "start up"
NOT hidden in the "file " in the top LH corner
-- a bit erked that I did whole tax form and could not do the year-to year comparison

Pretty good but....
I really like the software. It's easy to use. But every year I encounter some issue - and this are software issues that I cannot resolve without contacting TurboTax and it's not easy with the program open to contact someone for help. Still. It's worth it. I use it every year and will continue to use it. It gets better every year.

Good - but
We've been using turbotax and its predecessor for some years and have always been pleased with the ease of use. The recent improvements to the online CRA filing process eliminated the potential filing confusion. Our one complaint relates to the PRINT function. Even after selecting to delete blank forms, we get forms/work sheets printing that contain no entries and even some blank pages. Could be improved.
