ok for Quebec, could be improved
works for Canada and Quebec taxes. Could be improved when showing Investment Summary page. That page doesn't currently display previously entered T5 interest amounts, yet has an input box for interest. To reduce confusion, it would be better to also display the T5 amount on an additional line on that screen. Otherwise people might enter the interest twice by mistake.

Overall great - small improvements possible
I've used Turbo Tax Standard for 10 years or more. And I will stick with it in the future. Overall I am very happy. It is reliable and easy, with only a few minor possible areas for improvement noticed.

Easy to use, but way too many upsell attempts
Great product, walks you through very well. I did bring in my CRA details, but still had to add the T4a, not sure why. Good Value, since all family members can do their return.

Always Use this Product

2019 Standard CD
Overall, good product. Registration online didn't work, needed to call to get it done. I wasn't clear between entering all Investment Forms and going to CRA, everything got duplicated! After the program realised duplication, couldn't deleted as requested. The program keep ''Closing''. I had to delete manually all data and redownload all data from CRA. I little frustration but didn't need any medical attention after all.

Somewhat Easy To Use
I like the fact that Turbo Tax does the extra's that it provides that I'd forget to claim. After all those benefits are straight forward. I have used Turbo Tax now for a number of years and NetFile is getting better and better to send each year.

Excellent Tax Program
I have been using this tax software program over 10 years and find it has all the information you need to do your own taxes. I would highly recommend it to others that prefer to do their own taxes at home.

Easy To Use
2019 works well. Only be careful with the donation optimizer needs to be adjusted it does not determine the ideal split when doing spousal split of donations.

Works well
TurboTax works well. It is easy to fill out the forms and useful to see how each slip affects your bottom line. Ability to import slips from the CRA is very useful. My tax owing was much higher than last year. I adjusted the values in various slips until I found which one was causing the increase. Didn't help reduce my tax owed but now I know why it happened.

Does a good job at a reasonable price
My previous experience has been in an accounting office with professional T1 software, that is much more costly. Turbotax is obviously not in the same league as TaxPrep but does a good job, with no need to upgrade even with a complicated return. One shortfall I found was the inability to split capital gains between spouses, as occurs in joint returns or when attribution applies.

Quick Turbotax 2019 Review
Been using Turbotax for over 10 years now and always happy with the results. Recently switched from using a PC to a Mac. Very disappointed that there is not an installable version for Macs. Only an online version. I had to install a virtual windows machine on my Mac in order to use Turbo Tax this year. Performance was a bit sluggish, but got the job done. Please release a downloadable version for Macs. I won't be switching to the online version.

Generally good value. A few suggested improvements:
1. Help file is very limited
2. In several places you have to repeat info you've already given - confusing.
3. No opportunity to indicate that you're already signed up for CRA paperless communications

Mostly helpful
This is a great product for allowing you to put your information in properly and orderly. Its continuous saving allows you to pause progress while you gather additional information you may not have. There are a few opportunities however to better explain or word a particular section which will have you pause wondering what the proper answer in. The program works, you can and will figure it out. Its very worth it to do your own taxes and this program will allow you to better understand what you are paying and possibly a few ideas on how to improve your own situation

works good one flaw
works good but when entering Other Foreign Pension the program should ask if it is from an IRA so that it then could put that amount in the Pension worksheet and prevent an incorrect amount from showing in Pension Available to transfer to spouse.

Easiest Purchase
Overall, Turbo Tax is easy to use. There have been problems last couple years with using the cd disc - this year specifically, problems with registering and getting updates. Had to use the web download in the end. Once that got resolved, using the program is easy and self explanatory as you go along, and net filing is easy speedy. Only other issue is I would like to see the Basic edition with the same details as the standard edition, just not with doing multiple returns.

Easy to Use
I have been using Turbo Tax for the last few years. I love that I can do it myself, file my return right away, and know it's secure. The prompts and graphics are easy to follow and you can always go back if you want to double check on an entry. Great product!

Bug in Rental Form
When one returns to the easy step form for rental property to check it over or correct typos the %ownership/partnership number is reset to zero, which leads to an error if you do not notice the change. All other numbers seem to be preserved as they should be.

some features are really not smart. Eg, the Charitable Donations auto assigns donations to a return without asking, and does not use any conceivable logic in doing so - the higher marginal tax rate spouse, would typically be the right place to auto place. But no - at least consistently!

Easy to use. Thanks for Turbo Tax.
Some difficulty with Bookmark: not able to understand it well. Also I felt uneasy when our split income came up with the increase in wife's income. Not sure if the Optimizer explained itself clearly at the beginning.
Need to create software so that persons with little facility with computers can readily understand. I seem to recall it was easier in previous years.
