TurboTax improvements
Okay, I use the product, but you have to be vigilant. Asks you to import data first from CRA, then RQ. If you attempt to import RQ, it says that the information will be doubled. If you don't enter your own RL-1, you're missing important data: like income tax withheld at source. You're asked if you have any investment income. Then asked, e.g., dividends? So,yes and then prompts you for information - which gets doubled. They don't say to ignore this question if you have imported your forms already. They ask you if you want to close blank pages before saving and/or printing. Then they save and/ or print all these useless pages. A lot of the warnings seem to not be based on my return. Some of the Errors are not even close.

Claiming Medical Expenses
2019 Turbo tax: Claiming Medical Expenses and optimization needs to be explained better with more typical examples when optimization is used and partial 2019 year is applied as one entry of the total sum of medical expenses for the entire 2019.

Overall Good Experience
Use the service annually since QuickTax years. Very satisfied overall, only comment is that when loading off CD, I had an error message for MSoft Visual C++ ... didn'i impact my experience, but it was a nuisance.

Used for many years
I have used Turbo Tax for years, when it was called Quick Tax. This year I found a problem. Very unusual ! I do my daughters taxes and her husband has an accountant do his. I put in all spousal info. but this info was not conveyed to Schedule 6 and ONCARE - which should be called ON479-A - had a real hard time finding the later in Turbo Tax. I am sure this will be fixed for future year?

Excellent tax software but...
This was my very first time using TurboTax. In previous years, I used H&R Block because my situation was complicated. Now that I'm all caught up and don't have a complicated tax situation, it's easy to file without paying a 3rd party. The one thing that is misleading: Standard Edition comes with 8 returns. HOWEVER, you CANNOT use on another device. Other than that, the price is decent and it works well.

Pretty Good but...
It works and has worked well over the 20ish years I have been using quicktax and turbotax. Recently though it hides some forms and that is quite irritating. Some you have to actually go and look for the form rather than just clicking through. In other cases you have to verify caluculations manually outside of TurboTax. That is not only irritating but illogical given TurboTax is doing the calculation somewhere. eg: Minimum Tax calculation...

I have used this product since it was QuickTax. I have no reason to switch; however, the CRA login screen that loads is incomplete. For residents of BC, there is a BC Services Card option, which doesn't show.

Problem with disablity claimes
I have consistently filed a disability claim from my physician to Canada Revenue and although I am eligible for disability Turbo tax insists that I must have an income tax qualified disability. However being on disability for 3 years I have been consistently denied this claim. Is it possible to have the program modified so that one can indicate he/she is on disability but not claiming a disability deduction.

Found a wrinkle.
When an RRSP is purchased during the first 60 days of the year the option exists on which year to claim it... for the current calendar year or for the previous year. This option was not clearly available.

Returns made easy
Turbotax is easy to use. However, there is one disturbing bug in it. Wheneve updates into a started return are downloaded, previously entered data in the return is no longer visible. To view previouly entered data, the return must be closed and started again. I learned the hard way, which cost me 2 hours of my time

TurboTax needs Changes
TurboTax needs some small improvements. For the most part it does the tax calculations correctly and easily. There are a couple of annoying things. First,why does the 'Auto-Fill my return box' every time I start my return. The first time would be enough. It should be a way to turn on/off this feature. Second, the 'Optimize Medical Expenses' does not work. It gives the incorrect answer, should always chose the return that gives the maximum refund or minimum amount of tax to pay. It does not .

Summary of couples return
Turbo Tax is easy to use. What I would like to see is a summary of couples return at any time while doing the tax returns. It would help with the decision of who applies for the Climate Action Incentive, Charitable Donations and Pension splits. The Optimizers do help during the review process.

Import from CRA glitch
I had trouble importing from CRA for myself because of sign in glitch. So I closed and re-open program and TurboTax was stuck in a loop saying unable to obtain data. Then I attempted for the rest of my family and it still said the same thing. Very disappointed.
