I was unable to Register my TurboTax with Intuit - Kept getting error message and try again. Unsuccessful. I eventually by-passed the registration process and prepared/submitted returns for both my wife and I via Netfile. Why did I experience this inconvenience?

Great Purchase

trouble this year
I have been using this product over 20 years and this is the first year that I have had problems. I tried seven times to register TurboTax and was unable to do so. In the section that indicated the info that will be transferred from the 2018 return my RRSP contribution was noted as being over $21,000,000.00!!!!!!. However in the actual body of the return the correct amount from last year showed up in the RRSP section. CRA accepted the netfiling

fairly easy
Fairly easy to use. Like the ability to use the easy step approach but jump to forms to understand how info is being entered. Start to finish is pretty straight forward, though still find it a bit difficult to jump back and find the right spot. Would be really neat if the user could drill down at the detailed summary.

Very Confusing wording re Direct Deposit:
There should be three categories;
#3 should read "I have not changed my direct deposit information."
Don't keep it in the second category which says I don't use direct deposit OR ...

EASY TO USE
This program is easy to use and I assume its all good, but I always wonder if I'm getting everything correct and if there is more that I could do to get a bigger return. I'm sure I'm likely missing stuff.

Good Purchase
I had problems with an error message for
updating the CRA files and had a real problem getting an answer on the fix. Once that was resolved the program worked very well as it has for the 12 previous years I've used it.

I like using the program when I remember what I call-up what I did last year. My program is that a couple of years ago you gave up on Vista and I have used my laptop of MS 7. My new computer MS 10 will not have past information from my previous tax forms. Any way they can be imported.

Good Program
easy to use with only one negative and that was with the ease of imputing the disability tax credit.I could not find a turbo tax entry point.I had to go to FORMS and find line 31600 and input the tax credit there.

Excellent Product
TurboTax simplifies the entry process through clear questions, automatic saving, automatic re-calculation and a simplified interface. One improvement might be either the ability to import spreadsheet data into Donations and Medical Expenses or to allow auto-fill and/or copying into the boxes for long repetitive information.

Improvements needed
The software overall is user-friendly and can be navigated quite well. But some of the check boxes like language preferred and Elections Canada and foreign investments cannot always checked off. Why is that!? It's been like that for two years now. Please fix it.

Great product - hard to register?
Been using Std for years now. Love the connectivity and how it brings things forward. This year, though, I tried 5 times to register it, and it said there was some sort of error.
But my taxes are done and I got money back. :)

USING IT
I think the dialogue in the explanations can be written in a manner that would make the issues more easily understood and clearer. It is a matter of simple English.
Definition of terms could be cleasrer
Font increase is a good feature but colour could be better. e.g. black backgrould and white typeset
