More difficulty to understand this year.
Errors we could not see, it should bring us where there is an error.
Also, error when saving, stating to ensure we have sufficient disk space, we had 64gb. Error Code: TT401

Good but CPP/T4 problem
It's good but there's a problem with the CPP and T4 slips for 2019 that I have been waiting for Intuit to resolve for a month, which seems way too long, so have not been able to file a return.

Optimizers
I found the pension income splitting optimizer very useful but when I used the charitable donation optimizer it displayed the best option but the forms remained unchanged. It would seem that the best option should be reflected in the forms once you click on optimize.

Love it
I have used Turbo Tax for years, and love how easy it is to complete the taxes for myself and my family. I love how I can move all the important information from a previous year and then do a comparison to the prior year return to see if I missed anything

2019 return fr store purchased CD dwnld
Ok to use. I used CD dwnld coz I used last year & when I wanted to purchase the online version, it was going to 2018, as default, since I used online purchase of the form in 2017. There is no option online to use the current year, instead it is like forcing the default 2018 year as it can read online. My computer crashed before I could save the 2018 return in another online storage, thus could not upload as it is asking. Thus, CD dwnld purchased at the store is better for me in this case. Hopefully turbo tax has a remedy for this concern

Works for me
I file a simple return, so it is easy to follow.
A more complicated return such as a widowed house wife is a little tougher leaving me with questions that i cannot easily get answered.

Some adjustments needed.

All good except T1135
The standard software all works without any technical hiccups, right through preparation to filing. Only very annoying part is that the T1135 form only has 3 lines in section 7. Have to go back to dark ages and fill out CRA form manually, print, and snailmail.

Confusion to Success
I purchased this program after being told how easy it was to use. In the beginning it was pretty basic, but there were some areas that had me scratching my head. Some of the wording was a bit confusing and I did get frustrated a couple times. I went back checked some of the entries I had made to make sure I was putting information in the right place, in the end I had success, hopefully it is easier next year.

Linux support
Since I am supporting more and more open software these days, Intuit products are the only remaining that don' run under Linux. I'd highly appreciate and support migration/testing if possible, please.

Continues to be Worth it.
Well another tax year done! I bought the software at COSTCO in Jan. My new
computer did not have a CD Drive. 1 1/2 hours later I found where the download really was. The software is great, as usual, have used it since it first came out.
Need marketing to pick up the slack on proper information on addons.

Occasionally frustrating
While I like the product, I get annoyed by the repetitive nagging towards the end about warnings and tips. Surely some of them, like the one about pension splitting, could be eliminated if you've already chosen to split pensions. Also, the Investment Profile section after the T-slip entry should say "don't enter your T-slip info again" rather than implying that you're starting over again. Once you put something in there which has already been entered off a T-slip, it's very hard to get the info out of the return.

challenging in places
For the most part, the program was user-friendly. I found the Charitable Donation Optimizer confusing. The Help function did not clarify my difficulties.
I am not sure why the Default on the Charitable Donations section went to my return automatically and not to my wife, who had a higher taxable income.
The program was a good investment and I have confidence in it. Thank you.
