T5 needs work
When entering a T5 there are only 3 options, income from Insurance Companies is not covered.
Had a problem when setting up automatic notification from CRA back to Turbo Tax, program hung and didn`t recover.
Generally found completing very easy and having T slips automatically completed from CRA very helpful - just check that CRA has all the slips - ours were missing from the London Life

TURBO RETURNS
We have used TurboTax for around seven years. we have had success entering our returns each year easily and without a lot of fuss.
I think it would be great if TT would add a US IRS submission capability for people in Canada who have PR status so they can submit to IRS at the same time as CRA. im sure once you add your Income and deductions in CRA forms it would be easy to transfer into the appropriate IRS form for submission Call the box Standard CRA/IRS

Turbotax for 2019
I am a bit disappointed. I always do my wife's return first as she splits her pension income with me. Why do you ask for so much information from me when it is my wife I am doing the return for. Then when I do my own return there seems to be lots of duplicate questions. Can you do something to eliminate the questions about the spouse who is receiving his wife's split income?

needs improvement
In past years I was able to import previous tax return info. That feature was extremely helpful as a time saving element. This time, I had to manually enter all personal info. The feature of importing tax slips from CRA did not work well this time around.

Climate Action Incentive
The questions to determine any dependents qualification for this incentive are very ambiguous and should be re-worded to ask a simple question, not starting with "Not". As written now, one could answer "Yes" or "No" and not be certain if it was correct. I spent too much time trying to interpret the "question".

Good Product
Easy to use except for one thing.
Medical Expenses are a bit confusing when trying to enter Mileage and or meals when travelling over 80km for medical appointments. There is no way to explain how you come to the calculation of distance travelled as there is nowhere you can enter travelling to or from or exactly why. ie surgery in another city or to see a specialist in another city.

The relationship options below should include divorced. In the return, if divorced disc should not ask for former spouse info. It prevents efiling until that info is removed. Even if marital status undated online at CRA.

Pretty Good

Works great
Works well and nicely integrated into CRA. The only issue that I have experienced is saving the return. It seems you have to do file save as and save it somewhere as soon as you start, otherwise if you get to the end there is no option to save. I lost my return last year and had to redo it somehow I managed to repeat that this year....

Online help
I did have a question during the process regarding medical expenses and it was hard to decipher why I was getting an error during the review. It was an extremely convoluted process trying to get an answer for my question. It would have been beneficial to have a more readily available source of support like a real time chat.

very good
Almost excellent software. This year the RRSP Wizard didn't work for us - it gave unusable numbers in the millions of dollars as a recommendation. Also, we live in the Northern region and this software does not easily make that option available - it is there but you have to find it. I've been using this software for years and will continue to use it.

Some confusion
I have used Turbotax for many years and, by and large, it is excellent. However, the same issues are repeated year after year. I refer to reporting of Foreign pension amounts and Lang _term Care expenses. It's just not clear where to indicate or report Foreign Pension. Also, it asks if you have medical expenses and medical insurances but when it comes to entering them, they are all classified as medical expenses. So toyou don't enter the insurances expecting a section on that topic to come up, but it doesn't. So, you have to go back and re-enter them. It's been like this for years and needs fixing.
