good for people not familiar with tax preparation
The only problem I have with this years software is that it does not allow you to start a new return when you are finished with one. it doesn't close the return, but bounces back to the end of the previous return filed.

Meh...
Not earth-shattering, in either a good or bad way, but the most annoying part has to be the never-ending loop @ the end, after finishing with the NETFILE process...keep hitting "Continue" through the final windows, and accept the default prompt to save changes, and you'll keep ending-up at the "Ready to send NETFILE" page with a "Continue" button.

Basically Good
Good program for simple tax returns, the pre-filing warnings and checks are a very good feature.
Missing some points if you do much investing, such as an auto-currency converter for slips in $US or other foreign currencies, and a suggestion/guide to use capital loss carry-forwards if you don't know what schedule to use to do it yourself.

Pensioners and wage earners
The standard Turbo Tax program is good for straight ahead claims. If you have self employment income or complicated investments its not so good. There are many difficult nuances between being self or casually self employed or in business for yourself that don't have easy answers

Good Buy yet to spend more
It is reasonable price for this tax package. But be aware, you got to upgrade before you can ask for tax advices live. Sucks when u are newly graduated and broke too.

practical and easy to use
I have been using Turbo Tax for years and for the most part find it excellent. There is the occasional glitch, like warnings for some entries that are done but still give a warning- this year's example warned there was no amount in box E of a RL1 although it was entered and use for the calculation, but generally I find it is very accurate.

Less Comprehensive than past years
I have used Turbo Tax for over a decade and this year it felt less comprehensive than last year except the Netfile part which felt quicker. Definitely appreciate the transfer capabilities from CRA and previous tax returns as those are a huge time saver!

Confusion on Entering Investment Income and Other
In going through the program, it asks for all of the 'T' statements which I entered and then goes on to ask about investment income. If I input the details on the investment income (which the program asks for and which are not required in the T3 and T5 section), and the amounts, it double counts the amount of T3 and T5 income. I had to figure that out by myself to ensure I didn't double count the investment income. It should be clear on the program that there is no need to re-enter the amounts if you have already entered them on the T3 And T5 forms OR, it should be shown on the T3 And T5 sections.
Secondly, the program continues to ask if I want to save the Pdf doc of the return. Even if I answer Yes, it continues to ask. Further, if choose to do another return, it defaults back to the prior return and asks if I want to save it and in the end doesn't allow me to go to the next return. It is an endless loop on saving the program, investing money in the Turbo Tax investment program and asking if I want to do another return. The only way to get out of it is to say No, I don't want to start a new return, close the program and then open it again and ask for a new return. It didn't used to have this glitch. Fix it.

good but forgetful
It does its best to import from previous years but sometimes forgets items.
inputting medical receipts is a pain, have to do them one at a time. It should be a grid where you can copy paste and get it done

Turbo Tax
There are many schedules, such as, Detailed Tax Summary, etc. that I like to print. There is no easy, straightforward way.
Please include an easy Print option.
I can still print them, but I have to go to lengths to do it, such as "print screen", copy and paste to "Word pad", etc.
Otherwise, think Turbo Tax is a very valuable product that makes filing taxes easy.
I have used it over 10 years (Personal and Business versions) and hope to keep using it in the future.

Pension Splitting
Last year, I owed CRA an additional $5,000 after filing using Turbo tax. Apparently the app did not transfer the proper amount of tax associated with Pension Splitting.

Need a comment section
Turbo tax is generally very good but some of us have unique situations and we need to be able to make a comment on our returns. For example, I have some self employment income that is reported on a T5 slip but I can't tell CRA that anywhere. Last year I was assessed as if I didn't report the income when in fact I had. If I could have commented on my return I would have been able to explain it.
