TurboTax Rate/Review 2018
Issue I had was:
1. I was doing my son's taxes and the .tt18 was saved under my profile so we had trouble finding it. I had to copy it to the Turbotax 2018 folder on his profile.
2. Doing my and wifes 2018 taxes the Turbotax 2018 folder was empty when coming back to work on the return. Also the 2017 Turbotax folder not found so I could import data. I searched all locations with a comercial search software, as well as the recycling bin for deleted files, and the Windows 10 search functtion. The .tt18 was nowhere to be found. I had to redo both taxes again from the start.

Generally very easy to use
The standard version of TurboTax is very easy to use, but there were times when I had to jump out and use the manual forms. The interface with CRA can be a bit tricky, but that is more likely due to CRA security restrictions.

Investment Confusion
I found it confusing this year when entering dividend and investment income. I entered info from T3's and T5's and a little further along came to a Statement of Investment Income where it appeared I was to enter it again. This doubled the amounts and I was told by someone from Turbo Tax that you use one or the other. This was not indicated in the instructions.

Needs a bit more
The one thing missing is the ability to include simple foreign income such as dividends and interest along with the Canadian interest and dividends that are included now.

Easy to use. Recommend
Each year the product gets better. Net filing is simpler and streamlined this year. As is the data entry. I still find the medical expense optimizer difficult and time consuming to use. I still don't really understand it after playing around with it. Not a big deal, just mildly annoying.

Saved my money
I found Turbotax quite user friendly. Still had some confusion over pension and other income. It would have been helpful to understand the difference between Pension Income and Pension transferred.

Great
I am terrified of screwing up my taxes and having the CRA come after me. after 8 years of using Turbo Tax I have always had a maximum refund and had no problems.

One of the questions that should be added to the Interview for the Profile is whether or not the taxpayer is a "Northern Resident". This would ensure that the tax deduction for such a person is not missed.

Happiest time ever

completing form T5008 is not clearly explained . The government form does not clearly match your heading and it is not clear how to enter gain and losses. Help option would assist for example Box 16 on the form does has 4 decimal points and does not appear as currency. You accept only 2 decimals.

It could be better
No guide to fill forms. I have to guess and wasting time in looking how I can get to the form T746E and to fill it properly.
In tips and warnings not all of them has the "how" to comply with the tip or "how" to fix the warning. Only explanation text, but not link to go faster to the place that I need to review and change. More guidance it will be much better for the user.

T5013's Very Cumbersome
Greetings, appreciate the upgrades such as Netfile for T1135, you have been making but there is one that is missing and I would appreciate seeing. Entries for a T5013 do not offer the ability to split with a spouse 50/50 on a joint account.. It would be a welcome addition.

simple problems need fixing
They use to have a button to switch back and forth between joint returns. They have removed this feature and it makes it a pain to switch between returns. If you forget to mention something when set up initial, guide me, it is very difficult to get to the place you need to add it in. Does a great job of optimizing.
