One thing I do not like is that there should be an easy and clear choice at the end of a session to allow you to just quit as one is still probably just working with the forms to see and check where one might need to say purchase more RRSP's or shift incomes around between self and partner. Thus it is a work in progress which one is not prepared to file at the time.

Entry of medical receipts
The method of entering medical receipts on the worksheet is aggravating.
Surely there should be a way to eliminate the need to type reams of repetitive information.

2018 PROBLEMS
Have been using QuickTax and TurboTax ever since they came to existence. It has improved over the years, has become more friendly!
The 2018 TT had problems with UPDATE and Customer Care had not been informed carefully and completely. Their first response was that it was my computer's problem!! Eventually they would admit to a TT problem and they were working on a solution. I was finally able to netfile.

Some Printing Glitches
I did the short online survey, but it did not allow me to include any concerns that I had with the program. I wanted to express that while I am glad that TurboTax notified me that my son's tax return could not be Netfiled this year, it did not allow me to print the forms that need to be mailed to CRA (which I double-checked with a phone call to CRA). I therefore had to handwrite all the necessary forms to be mailed to CRA.

OK to use
Easy to use, just follow the interview process.But I loose confidence in it at the end when it wants to sell me an "audit" by a professional tax auditor. And then it want to sell me a audit defence. If I followed all the interview and entered my info honestly then why would I need these. Is there omissions or errors in the program? It makes me think twice about using the program next year.

Excellent Tax Program
Highly recommended program. Easy for beginners and robust enough for experts. Only drawbacks is that there is a bit a of redundancy (especially near the end, easy to get into a loop) and a bit more work on integration (this year it jumped over sign in rather quickly without being able to go back). Otherwise, reliable and dependable.

2018 Tax Return is Good
I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years. Every year they have made improvements making it easier to enter and correct the information. I was impressed how easy it was to Netfile my return this year. I would highly recommend Turbo Tax to anyone.

Stuck in a loop
Get to the end of the return, save the file. Software takes you through 2 advertising screens and when you hit continue, it take you back into a perpetual loop telling you that your return has changed and you need to save a copy. Hit continue, and it runs back through the same 2 ads and tells you to save again...and again...and again...

A Bit Frustrating
I have used Turbo Tax/Quick Tax for several years and have found it very user friendly. This year the download updates feature did not work correctly and I spent a fair bit of time figuring out how to download the updates so I could use Netfile. Was a bit frustrating.

Needed some help
I got through it but I did need some assistance from a person much more computer savvy than I. I never could find an answer to one of my questions. It was much better than one programme that I had used last year so that was a plus. One observation, in Canada we use the term Postal Code not ZIP code. A small thing but sends the wrong impression.

perplexing
RE:Show forms pertaining to errors so they can be fixed without leaving net file and having to start all over again.
Dependent is still a bit confusing to me ,am I the only one having problems with that?
I found earlier versions plainer. Have been using you program long before it became Turbo.

good but but loops on closing
when i reached the "do you want to open a new return page" i keep getting a popup message netfile has changed, even though i have altered nothing!! clicking on "yes" or "no" to save takes me back to the file confirmation page to repeat the close out process and land me back at the same message and clicking "cancel" causes the app to hang. I finally closed the app manually.

I used Turbo Tax for the first time and I found it to be a very good experience. I was slow and it took a longer time to complete. The best thing was that it was much neater than when I used a pencil and paper. Next year I will be quicker.

Marked improvement
Much better than the 2017 version. The script errors received at every turn have all been corrected in 2018. It would be beneficial to be able to copy and paste, especially when entering medical expenses.

Good product. Have used for years
If you have a basic knowledge of filing your own tax returns, this product is very easy to use. I've been using it for about 7 years now with only very minor issues (related to Northern Residents' Deduction, which doesn't apply to many Canadians). Have recommended it to many friends, some of whom have never prepared their own returns, and they liked it too.

Great, but don't let software make all the decisio
Basically the software is very easy to use, appears accurate, and TurboTax did make changes to the T5008 input this year based on demand. The only negative I have is that if you are doing a spousal in sync with your own beware of the defaults. The software will always recommend defaulting both Medical and Charitable donations to the lowest earner, regardless of the Total Combined Payable Tax. If I had let the software default I would have had to pay hundreds of dollars in tax more, than if I selected to put one against myself, and the other against my wife's income. So other than this software glitch, I would rate it as an excellent product.

Not Too Bad
It is very difficult to find and fill in the info for the transfer of medical expenses from a senior dependent to a caregiver. it is harder still to calculate the caregiver amount. This needs to be fixed.
The help section should tell us how to find and fill out the relevant forms and not just explain tax terms etc. That should be the focus of the help section.
You have a spelling mistake in one of your pages. At the end of the Netfile process where it shows on the left side at the top the amount owing or the refund, the words "amount owning" appear on the page instead of "amount owing".

disappointed in delay
Used TurboTax for a number of years now and overall continue to like the product. However, this year my netfiling was delayed due to CRA mandated changes to TurboTax forms. I feel these changes should have been in place by Feb 28 but were not completed until March 15, delaying my refund.

Filing delay
waited a few weeks to file due to apparent changes in CRA forms, but the communication of this delay from TurboTax was weak. Also, it cites errors on T1335 forms where no errors exist.
