The only problem I found was that it printed massive amounts of forms I didn't need even though I checked the option to only print ones needed. But super easy to use even for an old lady

easy to use
Pros: easy to use,especially for basic returns.
Cons: found switching between pages ended in losing information and having to reenter it.
Needed to save files frequently instead of being able to navigate with the 'back' key, as it did not function always.

NEEDS WORK

Retiree caution
If you are over 65 and claim OAS, beware of the Easy Step approach. I found I had to go to the "Forms" mode in order to input the T4A (OAS) as I could not see it in Easy Step

When doing taxes for my 93 year old mother-in-law who resides in a nursing home, Turbo tax could be better at explaining the two options relating to accommodation charges, particularly in relation to the 10k maximum claim and factoring in other medical costs. Having to figure out the difference between medical expenses and disability supports is confusing. Nursing home accommodation costs easily exceed 10k in many cases.Thankfully, one can play around on simulation to figure out what is the best approach.

Reliable, Using it for 5 years
Quick and simple to use, have not had a problem with the program in 5 years. While the program recommends upgrading when you have investment income, for most users the standard package is more than enough for simple interest and dividend income

complicated
The entry for native indians is complicated and most times on has to send in the paperwork. When there is no income on the T4 and coded 71, it sends it to answering things that a person doing this by ones self complicated,

Tax rules and Turbo tax reliability
Turbo Tax can not be 100% reliable. CRA does not care if they disclose "rules clearly". I know individuals who paid penalties unnecessarily. CRA needs to simplify our very convoluted tax returns. The Tax act is getting ridiculously big.

2019 Turbotax Flaky
I love TurboTax. It makes filing and efiling easy but this year I had trouble checking 'check' boxes such a language and foreign properties, among others. It wouldn't let me check mark the boxes unless I exited and returned. I would have expected it to be more stable.

Good forms! I would like to see the chance to enter more than 7 characters in the T5008 entries. I found the pension sharing page a bit difficult this year. The machine printed off empty business forms, but my business ceased last year and was entered. Super!

Product was very easy to use but.... too many 3rd parties wanting $$ at the end just prior to filing for various services. Really don't like having that there. Perhaps just the one to help maximize your savings but not the other ones. thank you

Re-entering
It would be preferable if you could just click on the main title to get to the section you want to review rather than have to search for the page. I normally put in the info based on what I have to date and then finish later to save time. When I do this I like to be able to go back to start. Also when going to the forms to make sure you entered something, it would be better if you could increase the size of the font.
